How to Get a Flat Tummy (i.e. Summer-Tummer) As Quickly As Possible Right, it’s summer right now in the UK and it looks as if it’s going to be a hot one. It’s only the beginning of June and I have a tan already – summer hasn’t really begun yet (it’s still very early summer) and we still have a week or two to prepare for our flat tummy. You'll get it flat by your holiday, don’t you worry…well, as long as you follow the right advice and we’ve outlined this for you below. Understand What We Mean by a Flat Tummy We can’t work miracles. If your tummy is the size of a space hopper, you aren’t going to be able to shrink it in time for this summer. For next year’s summer, you can (by following a healthy diet and exercising) but for this summer, you won’t be able to get it flat in that sense. No, we’re talking more about the bloat. The bloat is something that happens for various reasons, but it’s always due to excess gas in your system. You need to deal with the gas in order to get your flat tum, and that’s what we’re going to teach you today. Start an Elimination Diet The first thing that you need to do is work out whether a food is causing you these problems. It could be that you have an intolerance to a specific food and it’s causing you to produce excess gas. An elimination diet will help you to find out which food is causing the issue. If It’s Caused By Food, Take the Right Step If your bloating is caused by a food intolerance, you need to manage it in the right way in order to prevent it from happening. There are two different things to try here:

1. Try to find a probiotic or enzyme that will help digest the food. For example, if you have an intolerance to gluten, you might find that a probiotics such as one week flat optibac helps you to manage the issue. It contains probiotics that can process certain gasses, such as sulphur, which may then help with the problem. If you have a dairy intolerance, try taking the enzyme lactase, which helps us digest lactose – lactose is frequently the cause of the allergy.

2. Cut the food out completely. If the probiotic or enzyme fails to work, then the next step is to cut the food out completely. It isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. If It Isn’t Caused by Food, Try a Probiotic If the bloating isn't caused by food, then it is probably caused by a lack of friendly bacteria in the gut. You could have unfriendly bacteria in their causing havoc. One week flat optibac is a great choice of probiotic because it specifically contains strains of probiotic known to help reduce gas in the intestinal tract (which is why we mentioned it above, too). Follow this advice and your tummy will deflate (That’s the reverse process of bloating; isn't it?).
