ON THE COVER...

BY : PATRICK “TUPAT” EICHSTAEDT On the cover - Recently crowned, Vans triple crown of surfing, rookie of the year, Evan Geiselman of New Smyrna Beach shows his balancing act that he travels the world with making a big impact on the surf industry. This sequence was shot on a fun late fall season swell in Florida. I actually had just put my tri-pod legs onto the sand after moving to a new location on the beach, luckily for us both I nailed the sequence. Enjoy Evan’s profile in this issue.

PORTFOLIO PROFILE COLLIN HARRINGTON

Collin is a talented Videographer/Photographer who also is a pro wakeboarder. His resume is pretty stacked in the wakeboard media world, he is known for his hit video Box of Fun, and is the head of Liquid Force films. I’ve know Collin for a long time, he was my good friend from O-town who would come over to surf for a few days and crash on my couch . He is the type of person that has a million friends, all the girls like, and absolutely kills it on any type of board his feet hit. Collin blows up wakeboarding, rips skating, and will get barreled and do airs surfing. Every time we talk to him it’s always another story about his rock star life, making us really jealous!!!! He’s not even trying to rub it in on how good

his life is(or maybe he is trying to rub it in?). He is a personal friend of the Fluid Mag Crew and we can tell you some of his secrets, but we’ll let the interview tell the story? So how was your trip to China that you just got from riding Silver Dragon wave in the Qiantang river? It was really cool to mix it up with Wingnut and some of the other surfers. At first they seemed hesitant about wakeboarders, but they were stoked on what we were all about. Everyone ended up being really cool and we all just shared waves.

Such a different culture over there, was it hard to adapt to the food and their lifestyle? Definitely a different culture over there. Being the athletes, they took really good care of us. So I would say it was easy to adapt. After surfing the Silver Dragon, me and a buddy stayed an extra week and went to Shanghai and Beijing.

So you guys went over there sightseeing? Who knows when you’ll go back to China, and it was fun being a tourist.

Did you shoot Video or Photos over there? Mainly filmed the whole time, experimenting with the cultural aspect of it.

What made you get behind the lens? My mom got me my

first still camera in my early teens and my brother and I would always take pictures of each other skateboarding. I think it was in 2006 during a knee injury that I bought my first camera.

Tell us about some of your recent projects and who you’ve been working with? I’ve been working with the entire Liquid Force team lately and working on finishing up our product videos.

Who is a photographer that showed you a lot and that you look up to? Justin Stevens is the one who got me into video, and as far as photography, it was Joey Maddock. I would have to say that Joey is my biggest influence, he is one of my best friends, is the top wakeboard photographer, and I am always learning from him.

Sounds like you have builT a solid relationship with your sponsors? Definitely having a camera background is positive

for sponsors to see that you have a lot to bring to the table.

What type of equipment are you using? Panasonic HVX 200

and Canon 7D

Favorite Subject to shoot? I really like shooting new places, it gives you a opportunity to have a creative influence. T H E F L UIDMAG.COM 10

there are so many kids changing the game. Teens dominating it. I feel like wake boarding is that type of sport, there is always some new young kid winning huge competitions. Yeah there is a whole new flock of new kids trying to take over, but us old guys are still fighting them off.

So you did the Wakeboard Pro tour for years competing, how insane was the party and chick scene? The parties get really wild, and wakeboarders

PHOTO: BRYAN SODERLIND

Where do you see the Wake boarding world going in the next ten years? Ummm. I don’t know,

know how to get loose. There are plenty of chicks, and you are basically at a new place all the time. No shortage of chicks for sure if you want them. (laughs)

So tell us about your family and lifestyle they live? Basically since I was five years old my family spends the summers in Ocean City, Maryland and the winters in the Keys. My dad was a commercial long line fisherman. We grew up surfing, diving, wakeboarding and skateboarding.

You must feel fortunate for your upbringing? Basically my entire family are best friends with each other. We are all so much alike, we all love surfing and the adventure of it. That is one of the reasons my dad started his charter business in the Caribbean. If you want to go on a trip of a lifetime go to tikiadventures.com.

You do live the rockstar life!!! Is there ever a time that you just pinch yourself and say is this a dream? It hits you every once in a while and you feel so lucky. There definitely isn’t anything else that I would rather be doing.

Best trip you ever been on? (I really stumped him on this question!) Well I am going to Tampa this weekend for a bachelor party, so who knows… No for real I would say either Tahiti or the Caribbean. I really love the Caribbean.

Rate your favorite board sports? 1. Surfing 2. Wakeboarding 3. Skating 4. Snowboarding

Besides Boardsports, what else gets you pumped up? Basically Skydiving and Spear fishing are two of my favorite things to do!

Alright you adrenaline junkie, Any shout out to promote your photography or thank sponsors, friends and family? My Family, O’neill, Liquid Force, Performance Ski & Surf, and Go Pro.

GO SURF THE INLET A BUNCH INTERVIEW BY NELLY It was like yesterday that Evan Geiselman was a super grom trying to carve his board through the white water at New Smyrna’s inlet. All that has changed and now Evan is one of the most elite competitors on the One World Ranking Tour. After a quarter final birth at Haleiwa and a round of 32 finish at Sunset’s World Cup, Evan was crowned the Vans Triple Crown Rookie of the year, making a statement for East Coast surfing. From the time his parents had him in the water Evan was destined for success winning numerous amateur titles around the US. With a One World ranking of number 55, Evan sits in a prime position to make a charge for the second half of the ASP World Tour next year. His character and personality, mixed with pure talent, makes him surfing’s golden boy that can do anything he puts his mind to.

first off, you and Taylor owe Seadog and me some money for that butt whopping on the golf course last time you where home. E | hahah I know that is why I am

coming back for double or nothing.

ok, lets do this. Who is someone you look up to? E | I

would have to say my family for sure. My mom, dad, and brother, I’ve looked up to them my whole life. Surfwise I look up to Gorkin, Jeremy, my brother, yourself, just all you older guys in Smyrna. And of course Slater, he’s the best.

Your whole family is amazing. Your dad shapes the best surf boards and rips, your mom is super sweet and an awesome lady. That’s why you and Eric turned out so WELL, such cool kids. Just super down to earth.

I LOVE NEW SMYRNA SO MUCH

E | I agree completely, and I am so grateful to have them. They have everything to do with how me and Eric are.

What do you like to do when your back home in Smyrna.

E | Just go surf the inlet a bunch and get back to my roots and where I grew up. I love to play 18 with all of you guys and just kick it with friends. Its nice to get back into a good routine, and the relax time is great and helps me get ready to get back on the road.

NAH, I’M JUST HAVING FUN

PHOTO: TUPAT

Favorite surf spots around the world. E | Hawaii is amazing, but my favorite

destination is Indonesia. That’s one of my favorite places that I have traveled to and it is really hard to beat. On a boat trip you will get the best waves of your life sometimes. Hold on what am I saying, Teahupoo. For sure the best waves ever, best barrels.

Any life changing events?

E | ummm. The only real change is doing the WQS this year, and it has been a new step in my life. Changed my life up a little bit and it is what I needed to do succeed in surfing.

When was the last time you showed your dark side out partying? E | I do not party too much.

Nothing recent, but the last time I really blew it out was after the little Kona contest that I won back home.

You got a girlfriend right now, or what up you, enjoying the single life? E | Just hanging right now, just kicking

it.Nothing to serious right now. Getting to know a few girls, but really just enjoying my life and focusing on my surfing.

That’s good, E you drive down the road at 40mph, breaking girls hearts E | Hahahaha. Nah, I’m just having fun.

Do you ever feel like some girls are stalking you? E | No not stalking.

But there a bunch a people on Facebook who leave messages, but nothing big, just fan support, nothing too stalkish yet.

No crazy chicks staring thru your windows at night? E | No it hasn’t gotten to that level, its all fun.

Biggest Fish you ever caught? E | It has to be the king Mackerel in Indo…probably like 25 pounder. Nice, that’s pretty big, Best advice a friend has gIVEN you? E | Probably not

to get to far ahead of myself, and just live in the moment, take everything as it comes.

Tell me something embarrassING about one of your Family and friends? E | My mom is kind of soccer

momish at contest, but I don’t think she gets embarrassed. She is just super supportive of me and always wants the best for me.

What is your other favorite board sport? E | Snowboarding and skateboarding,

fun stuff, not that I am any good at any of them. I really enjoy skateboarding sometimes and I like trying to snowboard.

We should go snowboarding sometime. E | After Hawaii, I am going back

So how’s Hawaii, I saw the little video that Duncan put together, busting big airs. E | Yeah that was just

the first few day in Hawaii, out in front of our house. it’s been pretty flat so far, but those days were fun. Looks like there is swell on the way though.

Favorite app on iphone? E | Let’s see, Tiger Woods backswing. You do your swing and Tiger tells you what you are doing wrong. Favorite place to eat in YOUR home town? E | Gnarly Bar that just

opened it is pretty good. The guys there are super cool, ate there a lot last time I was home. Clancy’s is always a jewel. Taco Shack is really good.

LOOK AT THAT GRASSHOPPER GO CENTRAL FLORIDA

HOPPER NICKNAMES

(hop- r)

If you were to hear the name Hopper, the majority of people would think of a grasshopper. In New Smyrna Beach, a sleepy tourist town with a bunch of grasshoppers, resides another type of Hopper. Shannon “Hopper” Eichstaedt, from Bethune Beach, in the southern part of the New Smyrna Beach island. Most of the kids that grew up in New Smyrna were highly involved with sports in the younger years. Shannon was an all around athlete and played baseball and soccer while still learning to surf in between practices. I think it was his first year of pitch baseball that the name Hopper was given to him. It seems like yesterday that this all went down, but Shannon would always get on base, he was the first hitter in the rotation. This particular time he was walked to first base and instead of staying on first he stole second and third base. A woman from the crowd yelled out, “Look at that Grasshopper go, he is fast”.

17 THEFLUIDMAG.COM

e

BY : PATRICK “TUPAT” EICHSTAEDT

So the game went on and our team won, but after the game our dad mentioned he had heard the lady yell out grass hopper and said to Shannon, “Nice game Hopper”. And the name has stuck ever since. You would probably think that Hopper came from surfing shi@#yyyy waves and hopping to get across the flats and this could be true. Instead Hopper took his surfing on the road and learned to ride the waves of Hawaii at an early age. At the age of 10 Hopper was already competing in a US Championship at Ala Moana Bowls on the south shore of Oahu. Later that year he was hanging with the Irons brothers on Kauai and honing his tube skills. Now a days you can find Hopper tracking down the biggest tubes he can find in mainland Mexico. 27 years later Hopper’s name is still used as his first name, as for myself I can not remember the last time I called my brother Shannon.

TOMMY TANT

HYMN

by TRAVIS AJAY Tommy Tant was my friend, my teammate, and sadly, another brother we’ve lost through the years. He died in his sleep as a result of an aortic aneurysm which was later linked to a disease called Marfan. Even though he is now watching over us, his memory and legacy is honored every year at the Tommy Tant Memorial Surf Classic. For the past 12 years people have gathered at the Flagler Pier in Flagler Beach to be part of what is and always will be, my favorite contest of the year. Although it is a tribute to Tommy, the event has also become a symbol of the power of families, friends and a community coming together for a great cause. It raises both funds and awareness for Marfan, the disease the claimed Tommy’s life. Every year I‘ve had the priveldge of MCing the event and witnessing a community coming together. Fans come out and enjoy the amazing surfing from the East Coast’s top pros and ametuers, music from world renown artists, great local food, and most importantly the LOVE thats shared between so many families and friends. If you come out to support, I can guarantee that you will get swept away by the sense of community, make new friends and have an unforgettable weekend for a great cause. If the surfing, food, and music do not get you to support this event, then the heartwrenching story of the Tant family might. Having to deal with the loss of a son is hard enough, but one year ago Tommy’s mother Barbara underwent open heart surgery where it was discovered that she suffered by the same disease that took her son. Soon after, it came to light that Tommy’s younger brother,Will Tant, also has Marfan.

So if you’ve never been to a Tommy Tant Memorial make sure you come out next year. You wont be let down. Until then please visit... TommyTant. com where you will find links to all of the sponsors that contribute each year along with ways you can help via the MNF or through the Tommy Tant Memorial Scholorship Fund. See you all next year!

Ride ing! Upris

RED BULL NIGHT RIDERS

Last year an extra event called the Red Bull Night Riders was added to the Tommy Tant Memorial that brought a brand new element to Florida surfing. Red Bull gathered a handful of Florida’s top airealists, a couple Sea Doos, their mobile party truck, and enough lighting to brighten a football field. This helped create one of the most amazing surfing arenas ever seen all at little ol’ Flagler Pier. In some blistering cold conditions a couple thousand people lined the beach and the pier to witness something never done in Florida. In the end New Symrna Beach phenom Eric Geiselman walked away with $5,000 and a pair of night vision goggles. Since last years event was such a success, this years Night Riders was expected to be even better. Calmer weather and better waves in the forcast was enough to attract former World Champion CJ Hobgood and a crowd that was easily doubled from the year before. An estimated 5,000 people watched in amazement under the lights as Jacksonville’s Cody “DJ Code Red” Thompson, alley-ooped his way to his second tow-at victory in as many weeks. So it’s safe to say as long as the surfers are stoked, and the crowds keep coming out, Red Bull will keep giving surfers wings at The Red Bull Night Riders.

WESTERN ATLANTIC PRO SURF SERIES

UNLIMITED TEXTING WITH BY PATRICK RUDDY

PHOTO: PATRICK RUDDY

Mike Bloom from the Western Atlantic Pro Surf Series and Co-organizer of the Jupiter Fall Classic couldn’t have been more spot on... In it’s 11th year, I must say this one was one of the biggest and best in recent memory. With Kona Brewing Co. enjoying their second year of being the title sponsor, it was beer thirty all day every day and into the night. Oh yeah, and the surfing was pretty damn good as well. It was crunch time for the WAPSS points title. Meaning the lions share of $10,000 basically $5,000 to be exact was goin home with one dude. Was it gonna be last years champ Michael Dunphy with a repeat? Or was it gonna be one of Floridas two best goofys, either contest machine Jeremy Johnston, or very seasoned vet Asher Nolan? Either way it was all gonna unfold in dumpy head-high surf over three days, and despite some gnarly weather at the beginning the energy and surfing of the event continued to climax all weekend long. This years title was definitely gonna be earned and the boys were fired up. So much that Jeremy Johnston even went Brazilian in his semi final with a full on claim after 3 tail blowing turns on the best left of the heat. Later Johnston stated...”That was for Dunphy, I’m comin for him.” Come for him he did. By winning the final, Jeremy also dethroned Dunphy as the Western Atlantic Pro Surf Series champ. With $2,500 for first place and $5,000 for the points champion Johnston was hood rich stating, “Damn, that’s the most money I’ve ever won!” All in all the event and the series itself was a huge success. Thanks to the support of the Kona Brewing Co. for funding the tour, The Western Atlantic Pro Surf Series, the East Coast and Carribean’s only real pro tour, will move into it’s third year of existance. As a member of the tour I can attest to the fact that the WAPSS has helped East Coast and Carribean surfers gain exposure and travel experience in places they never would have before. With stops in Trinidad, Jamaica, Barbados, and multiple events up and down the eastern seaboard, the Western Atlantic Pro Surf Series is growing and becoming very popular. For more information on results from this years event and more about the WAPSS and its upcoming schedule, please visit the website @ westernatlanticsurf.com

CENTRAL FLORIDA

SURFARI WAVELENGTH The Smyrna Surfari Club recently had the pleasure of being addressed by Bryan Forand on the occasion of the debut of his new magazine you are now holding, FLUID. The members were impressed by his presentation and the Surfari Club has always tried to encourage local entrepreneurs, especially our native local surfers. The Smyrna Surfari Club was founded in 1979 by thirteen friends, and remains one of the oldest continuously -active private surf clubs in the world. Most members had also been in previous local surf clubs, but none ever lasted more than a couple of years. The new group realized that purely social clubs, like social circles, don’t tend to last. They decided that the Surfari Club would establish it’s identity with a public service project and message. And so, the Surfari Scholarship was born. A lot of those founding members could recall their teenage years, when just being a surfer still had an image problem. Real surfers resented the Hollywood cliché of an image, like the “Beach Blanket” movies projected. And one of the most tired clichés was that surfers never went to school. Not true. Of the thirteen original members in the Club photo, all but two earned a college degree. (And those two went on to great success). So the Surfari Club decided from it’s inception that their mission would be to raise money and give it to a surfer to go to college. The best football player in his high school gets to go to college. So does the best basketball player. The Surfaris thought that the best surfer deserved to go too. The Club utilized the experience of it’s members to organize a surf contest and the proceeds from the sponsorships and entry fees went to fund the first Smyrna Surfari Club High School Scholarship, which was awarded to Brian Mallard, in 1980. Since then, the Club has organized more than fifty surf contests and awarded more than $100,000 in scholarship funds to graduating New Smyrna Beach High School seniors. The debut of FLUID Magazine is very gratifying to the long - time members of the Club, as it represents the goals and purpose of the organization having come full circle. One of the recipients of the Smyrna Surfari Scholarship in 1998 was Bryan Forand! In addition to it’s two annual surf contests, the Club now holds surfboard raffles and silent auctions to help fund the scholarship program. The Surfari Club currently has about seventy members and meets every month, on the first Thursday, at the clubhouse they share with the New Smyrna Boat and Ski Club on the banks of the river adjacent to the North Causeway. As part of it’s commitment to the environment, the Surfari Club became part of the Volusia County Adopt-a-Beach program and takes responsibility for cleaning the two main surfing areas in New Smyrna. Four times a year they clean the beach from the jetty at the Inlet south for a mile to Ocean Drive; and from Sapphire Street to the Flagler Ave boardwalk. This program was begun through the efforts of founding member, Gordon Smith, who filed his report Sunday for the fourth and final beach clean up of 2011 “On Saturday, December 3rd, thirteen Club members collected 175 lbs. of trash from its two miles of adopted beach. The haul included: 20 plastic bottles, 5 aluminum cans, numerous plastic items, 1 child’s sneaker, 1 flip flop, 1 towel, 20 feet of rope and a lot of cigarette butts. In all, we collected seven bags worth of trash” Just hours later, the Surfari Club once again took part in the annual Christmas Parade. This thirty-two year commitment to the environment and community service is what has kept the Smyrna Surfari Club a vibrant and continuing force in the life of our town. Bryan Forand has graciously offered us space in FLUID to continue with updates on the ongoing activities of the Smyrna Surfari Club. We thank him for that! Mike Martin Co-Chair, 2011-12 For the Smyrna Surfari Club.

MAGIC WASHED DOWN BY MY FAVORITE CLANCY’S BEVERAGE

If you work in the surf industry and you’ve been to New Symrna Beach, you’ve been to Clancy’s Cantina. Not only has it been a local hot spot since 1983, it’s also been the most popular spot for a drink and some grub after a long day at a surf contest for as long as I can remember. Clancy’s is the perfect mix of an Irish pub and Mexican restaurant all wrapped in one. I recently sat down with family member and my favorite bartender(sorry Liam) Lauren Clancy and got the low down on a few of the best things coming out of Clancy’s. She informed me that the most popular drink she serves would probably be the “Chambord Margarita” but that one of her personal favorites is the “Florita”. I had to ask her about this appetizer I kept hearing about, the “Card Rolls”. With a shocked look on

her face and a slight tweak of her head she said, “What? You’ve never had a Card Roll? Well let me get you some.” A few minutes later a mixture of chicken, cheese, jalapenos, and whatever other magic was tossed in was melting in my mouth and was washed down by my favorite Clancy’s beverage, a nice tall pint of Guinness. Ahhhh Guinness... whether it’s a Guinness slamming contest against Eric Geiselman, Duncan Henville, and Lauren herself, or just goin shot for shot doing Irish Carbombs with your best mates....count me in. So if you’re ever in NSB and you’re lookin for a good place to get a drink with some great atmosphere and the best bartenders around, hit up Clancy’s. I promise you’ll go back again and again. Clancy’s Cantina is easily located right on Flagler Ave. Look for the lights.

Pour a glass of California wine, take a long, deep draw… take a deep breath… close your eyes, and imagine the vineyard… think about where you were the year the wine was pressed… read on, refill as often as necessary… and we’ll do our best to tell you our story… SoNapa is really about a Lifestyle— Besides the obvious namesake attributes of Sonoma and Napa, our brand signifies passion, enriched experiences, and simplicity. When the original partners gathered to discuss the concept of a wine venture, the one common bond was passion. We’re passionate about friendships, and wine has certainly enriched many of our interactions with friends and family. And while a good wine may be very complex, many of the basics of nature that combine to actually make good wine—are in fact very simple. Sunlight, moisture, good earth, caring and devotion all combine to create great wine, often times as complex as the relationships in our lives.

Well—we knew we loved wine, we knew it could bring us closer to friends and family, and to honor the simplicity we knew we wanted, we decided not to “be all things to all people”. We would focus on California wines from Sonoma and Napa—we can get wine from anywhere, but we felt it would take a lifetime to explore the intricacies of these two regions, so why not be ‘great’ at these two regions as opposed to being a ‘warehouse’ for the world…? Our menu items are also simple—fresh ingredients in simple combinations that absolutely complement the wines. This is what you’ll find at our humble locations. The original founders poured many bottles of wine to create the business plan and with the help of a few others, we’re very pleased to be able to invite you on the journey with us. To modify a great phrase to suit our purposes, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first sip…” We hope we’ve created a venue that you’ll enjoy, and we look forward to your visit.

INTERVIEW BY BRYAN FORAND

In this issue we feature the band Le Blorr (aka Bastard Lovechild of Rock n’ Roll), based out of Satellite Beach, FL. This duo, Adam Winn and Chris Hess, dominate the stage packing a punch equivalent to a five person band. Their music could be described as a groovy mix of electro-indie pop and psychedelic blues. Le Blorr continues to push artistic boundaries through their progressive and distinctive sound in their music videos. If you have seen any of their videos you know exactly what I am talking about. Le Blorr takes lots of pride in their shows but the visual aspect to them is equally important. Not only do they rip it up on the stage, but rumor has it they are no slouches when the waves are good. Let’s take a closer look at these Bastard Lovechild’s of Rock n’ Roll. SO BOTH OF YOU GUYS ARE FROM SATELLITE? C I am from satellite, that’s where I grew up. A Basically I grew up in Cocoa, when I was about 18 I moved to satellite and now I am living in Meritt Island TELL ME SOMETHING RANDOM, SOMETHING REAL OFF THE WALL AND WEIRD, LIKE YOUR FIRST JOB WAS A TOW TRUCK DRIVER? RAISED BY WOLVES? THERE HAS TO BE SOME DARK SECRETS? C I worked at smoothie king before I got into music A Actually, I used to work at a gun manufacturing , assembling guns when I was 16. Most of the workers didn’t have any teeth, and the guys next to me had some crazy devil tattoos all over his entire body. (Chris laughs). I fit right in. I lasted a whole 2 ½ months, I couldn’t do it anymore. CLASSIC I LOVE IT, THAT’S THE TYPE OF STUFF FLUID READER’S WANT TO HEAR. GROWING UP IN CENTRAL FLORIDA, WHO INFLUENCED YOU MUSICALLY, AND MADE YOU WANT TO PLAY MUSIC?

A The first time I really wanted to play drums was watching Ian Little play. He’s a little older than me, and had been in bands since I was in junior high. Even now he is one of my favorite drummers to watch. He’s really talented, goes crazy, and is my biggest influence as far as drums go. C The first time I was psyched on music was in high school watching the band Dialect plays shows around here. There lead singer Byron, who had a most amazing voice, his stage presence was crazy, and he just went for it every single time. That was the first time I seen anything that I was ever freaked out about and I would try to sneak in to the over 21 bars to see them when I was underage. I got kicked out, but it was well worth it.

T H E FLUIDMAG.COM 29

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ACTION SPORT? A&C Has to be surfing for both for us. Kind of scared to skateboard anymore. IS THERE A FAVORITE WAVE? C I grew up surfing Perkins and RC in Satellite. I think I would rather surf there than anywhere if the waves are good. TELL ME SOMETHING THAT YOU LOVE ABOUT CENTRAL FLORIDA NIGHTLIFE? A One of my good friends Zac Sullivan has a weekly night at a place called Paddy Cassidys in Cocoa Beach, and also at a place called Hippodrome in Cocoa Village. I really enjoy hanging at those bars when he is playing. C There used to be a place called the Cove that had an amazing dance floor. I remember a guitar player in a band had long blond hair down to his waist and a head mics who played everything from Shakira to Billy Joel. The place had tons cougars and now the place is closed down and is kind of of a legend. IT SEEMS LIKE YOU ARE BLOWING UP QUICK. HOW ARE YOU DEALING WITH THE NON STOP PACE? C We are definitely busy and do not have a chance to breathe. We are focusing right now on the next album and getting prepared for that. I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY YOUR VIDEOS. THEY ARE SUCH HIGH QUALITY AND CONTAIN STRONG ARTISTIC COMPONENTS.

A&C Thank you. We have some great people working with us. Amazing friends and people who have wanted to be a part of it. We try to be particular about our images and what we put out. The music is great, and we like to do a crazy live show but visually its important too. You cannot slack on any aspect. It’s really fun though, especially on when we are working on videos. SPEAKING OF FRIENDS, ANY SHOUTOUTS?

A As for as videos, LX goods they run an online music blog. They did the first video with us, seven sisters under the water video. They are amazing. Gus Cooper helped our second video, got a huge team together. C As far as locally Ryan Speir, has helped us immensely with our website. He’s always helped out with his artistic abilities and creativity. Also Tony Sullivan, Owner of Standard Collective in the Melbourne Square Mall, he’s always helping us out artistically and his brand is great, and we are excited to help him out. We have so many friends who support us and are all part of the family.

Come fish the world famous Mosquito Lagoon with Capt. Patrick Preston of Reel Mosquito Lagoon inshore fishing charters. Specializing in redfish, trout and snook, Capt. Patrick Preston has years of experience in and around the shallow waters of the Mosquito Lagoon.

I N s h o r e f i s h i n g R e p o r t Winter is a great time for inshore fishing. The algae that grows in the water all summer long is dying off due to colder water temps, making the water clear. The water level has decreased since the beginning of fall, making redfish more abundant in sand holes along the grass flats. Redfish schools are very plentiful as well as big trout on the shallow flats. During this time of year the winds are usually out of the north and very cold so finding a day when

is really good. There’s still sailfish left over from the beginning of fall. According to Captain Scott Laney, who captains The Decoy, bottom fishing is excellent. You’re catching sea bass, trigger fish, grouper, and snapper. Grouper fishing this month is really good, so catch them before the season closes in January. Snapper fishing has been good, but unfortunately you can’t keep them as the season hasn’t been open for the past two years. Your

FASHION FEATURE

Our number one priority at Sei Company is to ensure each and every customer has a memorable experience in our store. Our talented and knowledgeable sales associates and management team are trained in customer service, salesmanship and fashion styling. So our staff always greet our customers with a smile and a promise that they will be styled from head to toe in the latest and upcoming trends. In keeping our price points at a reasonable place, our customers can feel trendy without paying a runway price. Brittany was shopping with a goal in finding outfits that could add to and be interchanged in her closet for the holiday season and always wanted to be able to pull off this season’s 70s style. So Reanna, our sales associate that specializes in styling greeted her, chose and dressed three looks that could be interchanged into business and casual wear, also adding that depth she was looking for. While still keeping in mind that she wants to keep a good budget of clothing for her wardrobe. When asked about her shopping experience, Brittany had stated: “When first walking into Sei, I was greeted by Reanna. She accompanied me while I walked through the store and explained how each section merchandised by a color story for effortless shopping, the newest fashions and how to accessorize. Before I knew it, Reanna was pulling outfits in no time! She chose apparel that complimented my shape while keeping my personal style in mind. I was surprised to see the variety of looks that were all in one store ranging from 70’s color block, business chic and party wear. All of the outfits she picked were items that I would never think went together, but she proved me wrong. I left with amazing clothes and unique new look!” The first look Brittany was matched in was a purple bell sleeved bloused, cayenne toned skinny jeans and a red contrasting belt. This casual look shows off the season’s 70s style trend with a bell sleeve and color story, while highlighting her toned body and hair color. Skinny Jeans: $60.95; Top: $40.95; Red Skinny Belt: $10.95 The second look that we dressed Brittany in was a printed top and a high waist, straight leg blue trouser pant. This printed top and trouser is a great modern version of 70’s business attire and this look also flatters her narrow torso and long legs. Top: $32.95; Trouser: $52.95. The last look that Brittany was styled in was a cheetah printed sequined mini and a blue-purple pea coat. Inspired by the disco era with a pop of mod style, this cocktail look is great for holiday and the pea coat can be interchanged with any of the other outfits. Cocktail Dress: $68.95; Pea Coat: $92.95 Complete looks on thefluidmag.com
