Short on time? Would rather spend your time outside than in the kitchen? We have no shame in taking the easy way out when it comes time for bringing a festive dessert to this year's gathering. This quick and easy treat is as yummy, fresh, and our little secret that it's store bought.

PATRIOTIC DESSERTTHE EASY WAY Grab an angel food cake from your local grocery store. Using a sharp knife slice it in 3 layers. Grab a plate and layer your cakes using whipped cream and fresh berries inbetwen each layer. Add some extra berries on top and you are ready for the party!

S'MORE POTS All you need is: 1. Clay pot 2. Paint and/or stickers 3. Something to light. We made two different versions. One we filled the pot with charcoal. This is a very easy route to go, but best if used outside. If you decide to go this route, line the inside of your pot with tin foil. You can blow out your flame when you are finished roasting, and re-use again and again! If you are looking to do a indoor version, you can use a gel fuel. We added rocks for the can of fuel to sit in and then just placed the can directly on the rocks. 4. S'more fixings! Grab your marshmallows and chocolate and roast away! *Adult supervision is needed for this craft!

FIDO & FIREWORKS

FIREWORK SAFETY DID YOU KNOW 20,000 FIRES ARE CAUSED BY FIREWORKS PER YEAR?

Eyecatching displays that light up the sky are mesmerizing and exciting. But don't forget those flaming-flying rockets can be dangerous if not handled correctly. Here are some tips to remember for any sparks fly. 1. Know your city/town laws and ordinances. Each town is different, so be sure you check prior to lighting any fireworks. 2. NEVER try to re-light a firework that doesn't ignite fully.

Don't forget, fireworks can be traumatic for our 4-legged friends. Remember to put pets inside in a comfortable spot. Close doors to eliminate noise. Have a crate or cozy hiding spot available for them! Make sure your yard is cleaned of any debri before allowing your pet to go back outside.
