:Valentine’s Day — The Big Romance Day — is a wonderful day for gifts, and if you celebrate it, I hope you enjoy the day to the fullest. For me, loving someone is a daily exercise, a daily celebration, a daily acknowledgement beyond chocolates, jewelry and fine wine. I try to celebrate romance — and love — all year long, every day. So here’s to Valentine’s Day, and a year to come full of love. Best Believe that.

Musically speaking heir musical journey began in early 2013. “We met at Kenya National Theatre when Mordecai (lead singer) who was a judge in one of the plays that people had gone to audition. He auditioned us for the play. Well the play had no instrumentals or any form of music us it seem very boring and so we decided to add some music tracks to it and well the end was interesting because we got the spots” explains a jovial Kechez. Their first song “uliza kiatu’ got everyone humming and singing along to it. The song talks about the challenges, struggles that a guy will go trough in day to day life to impress and woo a Kenyan lady. The song came along as some of the daily challenges that they used to face. Wachira one of the group members
recalls “mordecai had this pair of shoes back in the days when we were struggling to get gigs. We met on a daily basis. We walked from kayole which we call Far East on daily basis to KNT. The struggle was real. We at times hitched rides to town. On one particular day while we were at the KNT we were all staring at mordecai shoes and he said, “if only my shoes could talk and from that a song was born.” Asked where the name H_art the band came from, they say it is simply derived from the Art in their heart that they have. All members of the group have a passion and love for both music and poetry. “We are not just any other ordinary band in town; we are H-art the band. We are different, in that our genre of music is just a reflection of who we are and what we love. Afro-poetry
which is both a combination of music and poetry. We love love singing and above all we are open minded, so whatever comes our way we will boldly and gladly work with it. Their stories are relatable with anyone; they speak about what what people go through. A look at their latest hit song “nikikutazama” which talks about the love at first sight a guy has for a chick and how they have dreams and ambitions of making it in life. “We have been through a lot both fun and bad. We have sacrificed a lot to be who we are today and have gone extra miles, but most importantly we have followed our dreams. Along the way we have had people who have discouraged us but we choose not to listen”. “If you choose to listen to people who tell you that you can’t do it,well
it’s entirely up to you if you fail. Choose not to believe them. The challenges and feedbacks we face in life are a stepping stone to the next level. We hail from kayole yes and we are proud of it but we also aint defined by where we come from. As individuals in this group we don’t believe you remain there all your life. We believe people grow and yes we have grown thus far” explains mordecai Kenchez says “Having attended sauti academy really enlightened us. We have grown musically and also music wise. Sauti taught us how to make money out of

We haven’t changed with celebrity status, no we take a day at a time. Its all up to you as a person to choose what you want to impact you both positively and negatively”. When asked of their plans, they say, “Of course 2015 will be a bigger year for us. We have projects on progress
and we are looking into releasing more and interesting music in the near future. So expect more from us”. Advice to the young teens that look up to you. “Be yourself focus on originality, life is a key do not be afraid to be different”.

ver wondered if you’re truly in love or truly in lust? Whether your obsession on someone is a sign of love lust or even an addiction? There is a huge contrast between love and lust. So what is it with this L word? What makes it love? And when is it considered to be love? The three main qualities that go with being in love are attraction, closeness and finally a commitment to the relationship. Any relationship can be about any of the above or all of the above. For any relationship to work, attraction is the main chemistry. It is all about the physical interest that two people have in each other. Relationships that are based mainly on attraction alone are usually more about the fun and infatuation than real love. For example, Frank Gitau of Eastleigh high school said the reason as to why he loves his girlfriend is a combination of her inner and outer qualities.” Manze she is deep and has real emotions, ni manzi original not fake

na ako na roho poa. Even her eyes are also very interesting, I get lost in them at times.” Jayson Kennedy said “the most interesting thing about my girlfriend is her attitude, she is so positive about life and even when am in school she writes me a letter to encourage me that no matter the challenges there is a better day In the case of boys, looks tend to catch a girls attention but a girl’s case is very different. The girls insist on character. When talking to some of the girls some said “the first impression is his look” but further than that she says other things are more important say like his personality. It is very important because this is someone I will be open enough to tell about my fears and thus I need somebody whose personality is a plus for me’ Ashley of Loreto Limuru girls tells us “Cute, smart funny and honest guys are a great treat for me. Respectful hardworking and also down to earth “Sarah of St Francis Mangu tells us Often times a new relationship begins
with attraction, butterflies *whistling girl you give me butterflies when I look into your eyes* shucks yes butterflies they are a result of sweaty palms or even a racing heart” Antwan can relate. You see when you have a crush on someone, you feel afraid of talking to them and this is where butterflies come in, but when you love someone you can easily talk about anything and everything to even nothing and this makes you comfortable” a confident Nadia of Statehouse girls says all blushing. Gladys Gacheri “Most of the time as teens we normally grow close to people who have the same values and beliefs or even times with people who have qualities that we tend to admire. We look for people who mirror us in one way or another.” Our relations both current and also past ones become a part of who we are. Doesn’t matter if they last for a day, a week or a lifetime what really matters is they give us lifetime memories in most cases the happy ones

I AM WORK IN PROGRESS 26 | The Insyder Magazine -February 2015 | www.theinsyder.com
I haven’t met anyone as determined as Wanjiku kimani A.K.A Femi one 20, born on 25th April 1994. Kenya Emcee (female emcee) musician as well as an actress.
Shikow is full of life so madly in love in music that her face literally lights up when she asked about her music journey “My Journey began in the industry at the age of 14 while in high school where I later joined chuo records and recorded my first few songs and her latest song Maumbile and currently signed under Kaka Empire. Shikow Femi one has talent, raw talent, a lot of potential and she is more than focused and determined to become nothing than the best when it comes to rap. “ I have a couple of songs but the reason as to why I have taken long is because I was preparing and learning a few things so that I come back to the industry when I am ready. Success is when opportunity meets preparation” As we chat i cant help but wonder where she got her name “Femione” from, so when that opportunity comes, I ask. “Well femione is wordplay from feminine but for to it is because I love to use witty lines to bring out the humor in my songs, I love being sarcastic too…playing with words and metaphors….. Am a simple chic, I keep it simple, it’s what I wake up in the morning each day of my life it’s just me’ says Shikow Femione finds her daily aspirations from Rabbit. “He has mentored me so much, he is talented humble and determined. He saw potential in me and he decided to support me all through, and for that I will be forever greatful Nazizi is also somebody I also look up to and I dream to be like her or rather even better than her.” Asked about any collabos she is working on or any collabo she would love to do, I would do a collabo with sauti sol … I do love their music they do good music, and since it is boys band well why not am a female rapper so am sure the blend would be awesome…I think...on the collabos am working on well I won’t let the cat out of its bag just yet nor the ones I have done but with time I will Her song maumbile is all about people more so ladies “I feel that ladies need to embrace themselves love themselves just the way they are and work on their differences with other fellow ladies and shining the same. I love watching movies; spending time with my family and hanging out with friends….I mean life is short so I take a step at a time no need to rush. The Insyder asks her about her future plans “well am working on singles, my fans should keep supporting me I won’t disappoint them. The hip-hop genre I s excluded but at least now artist are doing quality videos and audios and embracing the commercial thing. I will write different music good music for that matter that makes me compete with other male artist….best believe me I am here to stay Femione believes that one should keep doing what they love, putting God First and never give up on your dreams….Live your dreams

“A British man is behind bars in Kenya accused of murdering the girlfriend he met on Facebook by flushing her diabetic medicine down the toilet After this news spread everyone went crazy on how its not good to date online. I feel its important to share some tips to guide you when meeting that person you meet online. Some of guys are real, some are not and its important to be cautious when that time comes to meet them. When you meet people online, you might think that you know them already, but do you really? When i say online, i am not limiting this to Facebook and Twitter only, i mean, even on WhatsApp. Whilst most people are honest, some invent a whole new persona for themselves online, so meting your online boyfriend in person, for the first time, can be a really nerve-wracking occasion for both of you.We have had cases of people meeting online and the end up up married and the relationship grows stronger and stronger.

cover story
With all the shocking and terrifying stories doing rounds. stories like how some chiq was taken advantage of by a guy they met online, it only means you need to be careful especially when you decide to finally meet this guy you have been chatting with. It might get you in to trouble like some of us have found out and its important you dont put yourself at risk. Here are some tips that you should put into consideration when meeting that person you met online 1. Be careful Many people today meet their partners online, so we would certainly not want to put you off meeting your online boyfriend in person. However, when you meet him for the first time, you should take the same precautions, as you would, when meeting a stranger. Just take the sensible precautions of meeting a new person for the first time: meet in a public place, where you feel safe, and be cautious about giving out too many personal details about yourself, until you are sure about the person you are meeting.
2. Treat it just like any other first date In some ways, this can be worse than
a first date, because you both have certain expectations of each other. But, stay cool and treat it the same way, as any other first date. Find out if he really is the person that you think he is and remember, he is doing the same, so relax, enjoy yourself, it could be the beginning of something big!
3. Keep the escape routes open Calling this a blind date would be wrong. After all, you have been in communication with him and you have probably seen photos, but if those photos were twenty years out of date and that ring on his finger wasn’t in shot, then you might want a quick exit. Meeting for coffee is probably the type of thing for a first meeting, that way you have the choice of going somewhere else or, if need be, making your excuses.
4. Don’t jump in with both feet You may have been texting, talking on the phone and emailing, but remember to follow the same rules, as you would, when going on a first date. Jumping into bed with a stranger is the fraught with danger, whether you have communicated online beforehand or not, and it has the same implications.
5. Relax and be yourself You think you know this person and you probably do, so relax, ease up and try not to feel awkward. You are off to a better start than normal, because you have things to talk about already, so it should be easier; but,
be aware, that can make you overly keen to impress and the real you won’t come out.
6. Be the same person The guy is expecting to know you, so don’t start acting differently, than you did online. Hopefully, you were being yourself, when you were sitting at your computer, so be the same person now or, otherwise, someone will be disappointed.
7. Clear the air of any little white lies If you have exaggerated on your profile or in emails, then best to get that out of the way quickly! The little white lies are easy online, but clear the air sooner, rather than later or they will come back to haunt you.
8. Don’t forget to flirt Our tips here are a mixed bag, be careful, but have fun too. It’s still a date, at the end of the day, and you’ve probably been flirting online with him, so don’t disappoint now! If all’s looking good, then reel him in!
9. What dating advice would you give to your own daughter? We don’t want to sound like your mother, but have a think about what advice you would give to your own daughter under these circumstances, and then, follow your own good advice.
How to make the first date last Iam sure we all have experienced those awkward silence moments. Blank stares and embarrassing situations during the first date. Both girls and boys have had their worst first dates at given points .
e
very first date is a very technical and crucial step to a lasting relationship. we all want to be at our heights of beauty, brains and everything. But at given points the first date can become the last one. The success of a first date varies also from different kinds of people and also given situations Here are some 4 major ways to make them last Select an ideal and awesome location.
“Meet in a public place, where you feel safe, and be cautious about giving out too many personal details about yourself, until you are sure about the person you are meeting.”
We all know every mjamaa will want to make a lasting impression on the first date. They will go to extremes to save all they have to ensure that everything is a perfect turnout and in most cases the ideal place that they will take you is somewhere they have “discovered” recent times and they have never be there themselves. Just like the mjamaa they are not quite familiar with the place like you are. So reduce the pressure by selecting a familiar restaurant or rather a good environment that will save you the embarrassment. You can also suggest you go to somewhere your both
comfortable. This will help calm down the nerves or any form of anxiety. All guys want a girl who is chilled out and easy, so a venue that will offer relaxation and reduce anxiety will be a Plus
Want to share a coke? No matter how things may seem to be tempting or the situation, never allow or let a guy talk you into buying you alcohol. Be in charge of whatsoever he decides to buy for you and if he happens to insist so much just spend your cash or alternatively just leave. Ensure that every date you have has a beginning and an end…..do not settle for ati ikiisha imeisha!! Any date set out in avenues that alcohol is being sold is a failure Learn the power of signals or coded language Am certain your ‘empresses’ had no clue whatsoever about this…but yeah jamaaz are normally nervous as us chic’s. It can be of great benefit if you learn how to read in between his coded language and the little signals
that he will send across. Guys tend to compliment chics in very subtle ways… for instance he may say that you’re a good football player but in actual sense he means a lot more than that. They are not also mind readers so it would be of added advantage if you were in a position to read his mind….it is also okay if you let him also know what you’re thinking about…never hurts to speak your mind and heart too
Be the lead We all have a fear of some of the expectations that we have for our first date. We always pressure ourselves with how we want the conversations should flow. In-order to unburden your date on what exactly he should say, lead him on. Start a conversation and from that given point, he or she will pick up easily. Identify things that are interesting to them. it is normally easy to have a conversation from a shared experience, this kind of talk will create a bond and the date will flow smoothly.

INFATUATION OVERATTED! MUTHONI WACHIRA
I
nfatuation is the teenage version of love. Why say this? Simply because time and again we have heard of relationships between parties of different ages. Now, I am not talking about sugar dads and mums... I am all about something different; relationships between high school girls and guys in university. So do these actually work? Or is it just a fantasy that ends up with Cinderella heart broken? I know the minority actually believe they work, however, research shows that these actually don’t. Plainly speaking, there's really no relationship to it.
TEENS AND RELATIONSHIPS Words: Barbra Jandy Turkana Girls
y
aaaaay! the holidays are here! Long awaited time to have it swell with family and friends. What a long year we had in school and all. Big up those who cleared high school. The long awaited freedom you really anticipated.
lows...it is totally normal and acceptable. It happens all around the world. Fights and arguments come up. It is ok.It becomes not okay when you avoid them and act like nothing is wrong. Talk to each other and find a solution. Talk when both are calm and sober.
But before all the hanging out how about we get something about relationships? Their advantages and disadvantages. Relationships are of different kinds but I am thinning down to the kind that leads to the dating scene. What exactly is a relationship? We are saying it, reading it, thinking about it and even in it! I think teens nowadays go totally overboard with relationships. What we tend to forget or rather ignore is the painful fact that we were happy before the relationship and there are possibilities that the relationship may not work. What I would urge you to do is love yourself more because it is only by loving you that you can be able to handle others.
A relationship is basically an assosiation.I do not mean to hate on anyone. This is to help all teenies out there who soak their pillows every night because of a relationship that has gone downstream or because of an oppressive relationship. An unhealthy relationship is one that one partner takes advantage of another because of the other’s weakness.
All relationships have highs and
If a girl loves the dude so head over heels she tends to be ready to give up the world for him...he takes this to his advantage and knows no matter what he does she’ll stick to him. He cheats on her, he even beats her up. This isn’t classy or healthy. Being totally dependent on your partner is not cool! Be a free bird be yourself. Do not be tied down
32 | The Insyder Magazine -February 2015 | www.theinsyder.com
to anyone. Let not your choices be guided by anyone but yourself. Another thing in relationships is the issues of sex.We hear it every night and day. In school, church, and the internet and even at home it is being talked about. Dangers of premarital sex; early pregnancies, guilt and segregation...this brings about depression. What I want to say is....if you really got to do the S thing use proctection.Try and avoid A.I.D.S and S.T.Is. Relationships can build or destroy you. Make right decisions on right partners.Remember; who you are with describes your character. In a relationship or not, be happy, love yourself, live your life in order to be able to love another person. If your heart is broken, try and make it better hangout with your pals. It is hard to move on, yea, but what? He or she thought you’re not good enough for him. Crying for them isn’t wrong but mopping over them no....that aint cool. I am not hating on anyone but you got to be happy.
Taking you down the basics, the guy got 'needs' and so does the girl after a whole three-months-stay in school. Assuming nothing happened during the school term given the girl is doing as she's supposed to in school. School term ends and let’s says the two are now in need of some thirst aid. So the 'wise' girls preferably call the relationship 'friends with benefits'. Possibly even end up faking orgasms to be in relationships and to feel loved; while the boys fake relationships to get orgasms. This is where I shake my head, vigorously
for that matter. The girl feels lured into the relationship because of peer pressure. The myth that dating an older guy, especially those in university makes you cool. What we don’t realize is the exposure we get from them. These male have freedom unlike the girls; so we end up feeling like untrusting them is the ultimate key to complete the puzzle. After all, they are our fun side and its them who'll show us all we've been missing in the real world. They'll give us a good time out there, right? Wrong! Ever think that away from all that you risk exposure of being introduced to pre-marital sex, drugs, alcohol and such? This is where you’re in dire need of exercising those life skill lessons you've been getting in school. Please let’s not let arrogance and confusion take part of our decision making. As this issue has been ignored, I think it’s about time to enlighten these ladies-to-be and slap them back to reality. Morality overrules ignorance any day. Sorry guys, fun time might come to an end but these girls are getting pregnant, getting S.T.I's, suffering from low self esteem and
turning all rebellious. A question of fairness arises, when the girl remains loyal and the guy, the supposed boyfriend, is always getting it from other channels? Patience is a vitrue. Girls it wount hurt to wait for the right time. Save yourselves the trouble of having to deal with issues such as those of flopping grades in school and abortion packaged together with the guilt that it carries along with it. I'm just trying to say y'all need to watch your backs. Mafisi ni wengi.

of going about it. Do this everytime you think you’re “seeing red” count backwards from 10 or 20 and cool down. Also repeat to yourself, I will not let this get to me. I am above it. If your friends feel threaten they will disown you, then you need to find new friends, but at least they also honest enough to bring this to your attention. Do not let your anger get the best of you. If this problem continues let me know, take care.

Hey siz its good to know that there is someone who is out there who is willing to listen to our problems,. Well I have a very pressuring issue, I normally get worked up so quickly especially when I get lectured or when someone tends to raise their voice at me. 5 types of roses and what they mean
Have you ever wondered why roses are associated with love? Do you know what that bouquet of flowers mean? Or is it just something you do just for the sake of doing. Roses come with different colors and the question is, do you know what each colors stands for or means whenever we mention valentines, love pops out. And in our shopping list for the day we have flowers among outer lovely duvy things. It is time you got to know what each flower color stands for lest you send all the wrong signals
Red Diamonds might be forever, but the red rose’s significance of love is much older than that of diamonds. And while a red rose bouquet now plays a critical role in Valentine’s Day, anniversaries and marriage proposals, it is also the ultimate “just because” gift to express romantic love. Red rose reigns as the ultimate symbol of passionate affection.
Pink A little sweet, a little sentimental, but packing contemporary color punch, pink roses are your go-to multipurpose roses. Whether you’re sending thanks, cheering up a friend a bouquet of pink roses gets it right every time. The pink rose has always been associated with feelings of love and gratitude, but as evolving cultivation techniques have created a wider array of pink rose shades, the meanings attached to them have become more nuanced. It’s said that darker pink roses are symbolic of gratitude and appreciation, while lighter pinks are associated with gentleness and admiration. All good stuff, which brings us back to the original point that you simply can’t go wrong with pink!
White Without vibrant color to upstage it, the formal, structural beauty of the rose is showcased to its best advantage in a bouquet of elegant white roses. Suited to reverent occasions, the white rose is a fitting way to honor a friend or loved one in recognition of a new beginning or a farewell. Their pure color conveys respect, pays homage to new starts and expresses hope for the future. Orange When everything’s coming up roses there’s no better way to celebrate than with a bright bouquet of orange roses. With their suggestions of fire, citrus, glowing sunsets, they have a passionate intensity that says thanks, congratulations or I love you with boundless enthusiasm. Also, since orange roses haven’t been on the scene all that long, they have a contemporary flair.
Yellow With their optimistic hue and general association with good cheer, yellow roses are the perfect way to toast friends, lift spirits and send a general wish for well-being. And that’s great news for those who love roses—the rose is known for its simple, architectural beauty, but some colors are so loaded with significance that they can be a bit tricky to work with. Sending a get-well bouquet of red roses to your administrative assistant might raise eyebrows around the office, for instance. Suffice it to say, you can never go wrong with yellow roses. There you have it. So next time you decide to buy those roses makes sure you buy the right one lest you send the wrong signals.

If your chic is the best, why do you have to cheat on her? Sometimes ni poa kureason before you do something find out if it was you who was being cheated on how would you feel? Cheating can never be an excuse and I do not think anybody should venture into it.
IS CHEATING OKAY?
This is a generation of ‘fun whenever and wherever you find it’. Every day IS a holiday. We can make and have fun pretty much out of anything. Relationships have however been superbly affected by this. People are slowly drifting away from the loyalty preached by oldies. In any society, you can find both extremes, and this is the same here. IQru took to the streets to find out some teen’s opinion on the whole cheating phenomenon, this is what they had to say;

Experimenting with drugs can sometimes be presented as part of the student experience But drugs are illegal for a reason. Its not just illegal drugs that you need to be wary of, there legal substances for sale with potential health risks. The best way to minimize your risk from drugs is not to use them. Failing that , finding out as much information as you can about drugs you are using including the risk the potential for addiction and what happens when you mix one drug with another or

As a friend your main duty is to help. You have to build a trusting relationship and they look up to you for advice and information. You can be resourceful to them. Ignoring the problem will not make it go away. Instead you may unwittingly offer your silent approval of their behavior
horrid horror By Abdifatah Mfa
I opened the door,to my horror,a few skeletons lay there, chained to the wall.okay, time to recap.I and my friends,Tatista and Manbatwes, were playing around an old abandoned mansion. We were told that no one was allowed to enter. However, curiosity overcame us and we picked the lock, granting us to entrance into the sacred lair of the unknown. At the sight of the skeleton, the three of us were completely stunned. Our jaw hung wide open for a few minutes before we came back to our senses. My sixth senses told me that something was about to go wrong,so i urged the other two to back out of the mansion.”Don’t be such a chicken,”said manvatwes, with a shaky voice.”Aren’t you scared too?”i challenged him.”yes, but we might never get the choice to explore here again if we leave now.””...all right, but we leave as soon as the first sign of danger shows.” We ventured deeper into the mansion. The design looked like some sort of torture room,or a prison.Even though i was afraid i was eager to discover more.Throughout the lair,we did not lose sight of skeletons or spider webs. These were at very corners,at every
turn. The occasional howls from a distance made the hair on our back stand up straight. We finally arrived at a long hallway.Manbatwes picked up a piece of wood and lightened it up with his lighter. The flame seared at first, but after it simmered down i was able to see the walls clearly. There were ancient, the kind we usually see is an egyptian grave robber movie. As the expert in history,Manbatwes tried his best to decipher the carvings. Meanwhile,Tatista leaned towards the wall to catch his breath. At that very moment,a cold Chill went down my spine. “watch out!” I shouted. Before he could react, that portion of the wall he was leaning against flipped, trapping him on the other side. All he could let out was a loud shriek and he vanished behind the walls;shouting his name. Only then did i know what real terror felt like. However, the chance of rescuing him was bleak.I sank to the ground, desolated and hopeless. “lets get out of here,we have to inform the adults!”suggested Manbatwes.I got to my feet swiftly and both of us sped through the building. My heart was racing.I knew that danger may be waiting at the next corner.I could hear blood pounding in my ears.
40 | The Insyder Magazine -February 2015 | www.theinsyder.com
Wait, was that creak i heard?”uh-oh,” I thought to myself. The ceiling began to crumble. My sub-consiousness took over.I sprang forward and tackled Manbatwes. Both of us fell to the ground.Just as i thought that trouble was out of the way,the burning piece of wood slipped out of his hand and landed in a pile grease.Fire started spreading like mad.I struggled to get up. “come on,there’s not much time left!”.I screemed as i turned towards the exit.”Aahhhhhhhhhhhh!”. In a split second my head turned 180 degrees.A gigantic marble pillar fell on Manbatwes.I mustered all the strength from every single cell on my body, trying to lift him up,to no avail. My eyes were watery.I was completely out of ideas. “Save yourself, leave me, please, ”muttered Manbatwes, with a weak tone. This was certainly a tough decision for me.All the moments we had spent together flashed through my mind. How could i leave him now?As the fire was close to the sealing my only exit,i knew that i had to be rational.I dived for my escape route. Tears rolled down my cheeks as the mansion erupted into flames behind me.
10 things you should know
about BRIAN CHWEYA He is Kenya’s Johnny Bravo but with a brain and a killer voice (so the ladies say) and he likes treating ladies like the queens they really are. Most of his pals call him chweezy but y’all know him as Elani’s Brian. There is much you don’t know about Chweezy as Charles discovered.
Insyder: what was your high school nickname? Chweezy: The people just called me brayo but nowadays almost all my friends call me chweya or chweezy. Insyder: If you were to be a cartoon character which one would you be? Chweezy: I would say Johnny Bravo. He has so much confidence no matter all the rejection he gets in all situations, he always keeps going. If you have no confidence as a man it makes you look bad. Insyder: why law? Chweezy: Law because I love it and I wanted to make a lot of money. Both my dad and my big sister are advocates of the high court so I got some inspiration and influence from them and as well it was one of my passions ever since I was a kid and that’s why I went ahead and did it. Insyder: what’s your worst dish? Chweezy: worst dish…eeeh I’d have to say I am not a big fun of sushi. There is something about raw fish, it doesn’t go down well with me. Insyder: would you let a lady pay the bill on the first date? Chweezy: Let a lady pay for the bill on the first date…Hell No. We would even kosana(fight) . I’m a gentleman and I believe in chivalry and treating a lady like the queen she is. Insyder: What is music to you? Chweezy: Music means the world to me. It is every single breathe that I breathe in the morning. I cannot live without it. I would be so sad if someone took it away from me Insyder: Are you a movie guy or a
series guy? Chweezy: Our days usually so crazy and busy. Any free time I get I sleep. I get out of the house almost every day at 6am heading for meetings and get back home at like 11am-1am there from the studio. I don’t get time to watch anything but from time to time I would make time to watch a movie Insyder: If you were to be a high school teacher which subject would you teach? Chweezy: I would be the best history teacher ever. I love knowing things especially historical things and ancient stories. Insyder: What’s your favourite colour? Chweezy: My colour is black. I have lots of black in my closet even my band mates Maureen and Wambui complain at times, but I still love my black. Insyder: What’s the worst pano you ever got? Chweezy: Worst pano…hmmm I didn’t get bad ones. Maybe just kneeling down and putting my hands up in form 1, but the rest of my high school life I didn’t get any punishments I was the one giving the punishments. I was a school cop from 204-404. Insyder: Who are you a fun of? Chweezy: My mum, she is the most beautiful woman in the world and she is amaizing. I’m her biggest fun. Take this kiss upon the brow! And,in parting from you now, Thus much let me arrowYou are not wrong, who deem Yet if hope has flown away In a night,or in a day, In a vision,or in none, Is therefore the less gone? All that we see or seem Is but a dream within a dream I stand amid the roar Of surf-tormented shore And i hold within my hand Grains of the golden sandHow few!yet how they creep Through my finger to the deep, While i weep-While i weep! O God!can i not grasp Them with a tighter clasp? O God!can i not save One from the pitiless wave? Is all that we see or seem But a dream within a dream
Poet: Paula Mimms School: Parky Arya Title: Music is my love Music is part of my everyday life, it's the one thing that makes me feel alive. No matter what it could be, all music influences me. Music teaches me everything I do, After hearing the words, you know it suits you. Without music I don't know what I would do, when I'm feeling bad it's the only place I can go to. Music is my life, my desire, As I listen, it builds me higher. No matter what kind, rock, country, or rap, you can't convince me that any of it is crap. Whatever you're feeling, whether its happy, sad or fear, just turn it up and listen to what you hear. To me music could never go wrong, I could listen to it all day long.

CHeMISTRY WITH MY CHEM T.A Hi Bro, Well I have a dilemma; well of late I have been in a very tricky situation with my chemistry teacher. Recently, during one of the night preps, I bumped into her and she was quite drunk and…oh well shit happened. Ever since then I have had a very big problem am even feeling embarrassed. I told her I would snitch but she told me if I dare say anything she would deny it and more so she would make me flank in my papers. I feel terrible that I didn’t open up earlier before it got this far. My dream is to excel in my exams.. What do I do kindly help Duncan 304 Well first and foremost I can only imagine what you’re going through and am sorry about your current situation but am here with good news, because there is a solution to your problem and that is speaking out. Identify a person who you trust it might be your counselor teacher in school or some teacher from another school that you trust. Also let your parents know what you’re going through, it is in their capacity as your parents to know this since they play a role in your well being. Also look ahead; there will be more chemistry classes ahead that you will partake with your future teachers so do not have a negative attitude towards the subject. If your current teacher ask you to meet him up ensure that you are meeting him up in open places that way it will be much safer if not let a student friend of yours accompany you,
TrICKY StICKY SITUATION Was sup, I really have a diverse problem. I am 16 years old guy from Rongai and I feel like I have found the right guy. He is caring and protective thoughtful appreciative humorous and easy to talk to . He sure does love me and he makes sure I know about it. There is one major obstacle “my mother” if I dare mentioned that I had a boyfriend. Let alone a jango, my mom would totally freak out. He can’t bear the fact that I am lying to my mother for him and have already hurt him. He hasn’t been in touch and I really want to gain my mom’s trust. Please help me I do not think I can bear to lose him. Grace 204
Hey grace, So this guys sounds very mature enough not to let you lie to your problems, he even breaks contacts if you donot. Well if you ask me I think he is worth telling your mum. You know sometimes we underestimate mothers. All you have to do is broach the subject in an adult manner and be open to your mum. Mothers ar e our bestfriends, she will bring light o the situation and give you the right decision. You have nothing to loose. Your mother will trust you moore because you have opened up to her and he will acknowledge the fact that you listened to him. Talk to her today Love big siz
