Indian students stuck in Ukraine and its war zone

Hardeep Singh Foreign Correspondent New Delhi, India. Some of the Indian students stuck in war zone and nearby in Ukraine are approaching their parents so that a help may arrive asap. Be reminded that Ukraine is famous destination for students from all over the world for studies specially for studying medicine, MBBS or BDS related studies. Some of them are as above form India mainly from Himachal and Punjab. ‘Students are scared as well as their parents. All students from Ukraine and their parents from India appealed to Indian Embassy in Ukraine and Indian Government as well as Prime Minister Narinder Modi to intervene in Ukraine to airlift their children from Ukaraine as well as from war zone areas. When we contact one of the student stuck in Ukraine he adviced that the normal ticket price is around three times and around 100,000 from Poland as no flights available from Ukraine as destroyed by Russian forces. Parents of Indian students called on Indian government to take action to bring their children back safe and sound.

While talking to Aryan Kimta based in Shimla (HP) India, brother of Akhil Kimta, said that Akhil and some other students around 300 are staying in underground bunker in a Hostel number 7 of a National University in Kyiv where there are no food, no blankets and boarding arrangements. temperature is weather is minus 1 degree. They were about to leave country on Feb 24th but their flight was cancelled due to attack nearby. Indian embassy and authorities are not reaching to them. The parents are so much scared as they don’t know how to get in ouch with their children as some of Them are not reachable. Parents are requesting Indian government to help them as to bring their children back to India. Parents adviced that students from other areas of Ukraine where they are safe are being evacuated by Indian government and Indian embassy officials. So they are waiting for their turn to be evacuated as well from Ukraine.
