Open Afternoon It was lovely to see so many of
the families linked to the school sharing the many achievements of our pupils on Thursday’s open afternoon. The whole school community enjoyed the chance to reflect on the progress that pupils have made and celebrate their many successes. During the afternoon, there was also the opportunity for parents/ carers to share their thoughts on how Greneway communicates its news via the School Blog and Twitter. After three hours of gruelling baking, the Olympic themed celebration cakes were completed and the judges had the unenviable task of trying to pick a winner. Judging by the amount of cake that was consumed by the judges, they double checked every decision! The judges were keen to say that that the standard was the highest yet and that all of the bakers

Royston Music Trail
A day of music themed fun is planned – starting off from Fish Hill Square. The music event will be based around a Music Trail in the town centre, where children will be set the task of finding musical instruments hidden in 12 shop windows (every child that completes the Trail will receive a prize). There will also be a craft activity provided on site by a team of professionals. All activities are free to all children. NB Parents will need to accompany minors at all times … including on the Music Trail.
Pinkster Raspberry Mojito
We have entered the month of our infamous Summer Soul in the Square! So to celebrate here is our twist on the Mojito using Pinkster Gin which we will be showcasing at Summer Soul on 9th July!
Ingredients
50ml Pinkster Gin Dash Sugar Syrup 3 Lime Wedges 3 Fresh Raspberries Handful of Mint Lemonade or Soda for topping up
METHOD
Muddle the lime and raspberries together in a Boston Glass. Slap and add the mint. Add the Pinkster and sugar syrup. Fill glass with ice and shake. Pour into pilsner glass and top up with your choice of lemonade or soda.
