19-28 SEPTEMBER 2014
P R E M I E R PA R T N E R
Welcome to the Royston Arts Festival 2014, brought to you by Creative Royston. The official town guide says ‘the festival’s strength is that it is deeply rooted in the community’, so we are delighted that so many groups have taken up the challenge of this year’s theme, Heroes & Villains. With more than fifty events, exhibitions, workshops and competitions, it’s going to be a packed ten days. During the festival you can help us welcome back Royston’s own musical hero, the internationally acclaimed trumpeter Alison Balsom, meet best-selling author Sarah Harrison, laugh along with TV stand-up comedians Iain Stirling and Howard Read, listen to singer-songwriter Jess Morgan and let CADS introduce you to the Fosdykes. Alternatively, discover unknown celebrities all around the town depicted in our tile trail. A massive thank you goes to all our participants, volunteers, partners and supporters (especially Johnson Matthey plc). Without them, the festival would simply not be possible. If you enjoy what you see, why not think about joining us on the Creative Royston committee and help us make it happen again next year? Drop me an email to find out more: chair@creativeroyston.org And don’t forget to visit us at CreativeRoyston.org and let us know what you think of it all (you may even win a pair of tickets to one of our events in 2015). You can also sign up to our newsletter, like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter. Have another great week in a very creative Royston!

Brian Leslie Racher Trust Premier Partner of Royston Arts Festival
Special Thanks The Royston Arts Festival would not be possible without the hard work of many local people and organisations. We would particularly like to thank: Terry and Sue Hartga for photographing the festival events, Pip and Christina from Glazed Creations, Liz Beardwell the artist for the Heroes & Villains trail, Royston First Schools for their work on the bunting project, Royston Town Council for use of a meeting room and all the volunteers who give their time to help us run the events during and in the lead-up to the festival.
