Organizations are lifting their heads to the reality and impact of the shifting norms of our larger society. Covid-19 has changed operating norms due to remote working, and the need to restructure interior work spaces. Post George Floyd their is an awakening of raw emotions regarding racial justice. There is also an equal resistance to the concept of systemic racism. We are seeing company's add equity to their outward facing value statements when the internal operating culture and climate is toxic for many. Organizational wellness is unchartered territory for many businesses large and small. Expecting staff members to show up as their best selves is unrealistic when those who represent as people of color or intersections such as LGBTQI and or different abilities are challenged with negotiating the institutions of isms.
