BVLGARI X MB&F SERPENTI

MB&F and Bvlgari are worlds apart, and yet they share an unexpected connection that gives birth to one-of-akind creations that challenge horological conventions.

Founded in 1884, Bvlgari is renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship, innovative designs and rich heritage, combining Italian elegance with Swiss precision – materialised in iconic collections such as Serpenti, Octo Finissimo and Bvlgari Bvlgari.

MB&F (Maximilian Büsser & Friends) has redefined traditional watchmaking since 2005 by creating three-dimensional kinetic sculptures for the wrist: Horological Machines that are brought to life through collaboration with the brand’s “Friends” and are inspired by themes as diverse as science fiction, supercars and the animal kingdom.

Bvlgari x MB&F: not their first collaboration

In 2021, sparked by a chance encounter a few years earlier between Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, director of watchmaking creation at Bvlgari, and Maximilian Büsser, founder and creative director of MB&F, the two brands released a first collaboration: the MB&F x Bvlgari LM FlyingT Allegra. This collaboration brought the exuberant, colourful world of Bvlgari jewellery into MB&F’s Legacy Machines. After the success of that collaboration, the two friends naturally wondered, what next?

For this second collaboration, Fabrizio and Max chose to reinterpret one of Bvlgari’s most famous historical creations – Serpenti, which first appeared in Bvlgari’s creations in 1948 – bringing it into the very mechanical universe of MB&F haute-horlogerie. Combining the vision and expertise of these two creative forces, the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti slithered into being…

Reimagining Serpenti – an emblem of eternal rebirth and bold metamorphosis – into a Horological Machine required a complete redevelopment of this historical piece, not only in terms of mechanical engineering and movement conception, but also in terms of case design and manufacturing. The Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti represents a unique creation, born from an inspired encounter and a shared vision, where calibre and design seamlessly enhance one another.

An intense design process

According to Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, the design aspects “were a pleasure to create”, perhaps giving the impression that this part of the process was relatively easy – but the hundreds of sketches and dozens of 3D-printed models attest otherwise. Contrary to a classic round case, which offers only a few dimensions to experiment with, the case of the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti could not be more complicated. Like an automobile, the view is radically different depending on whether you admire it from the front, the side, the top, the back… and all those views must be equally satisfying. Like a carefully-balanced equation with multiple variables, any adjustment to a particular angle or curve, although improving a certain view, can potentially destroy another. This resulted in countless iterations of the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti design.

Challenging case manufacturing

Once perfected aesthetically, the design then needed to be engineered and manufactured – and this generated a number of further challenges. The Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti case is all about curves, combined together to create a machining nightmare. The complex curves extend beyond the metal of the case to the five sapphire crystals, including the snake’s eyes and the multi-facetted rear section – all treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides and providing large openings on the movement. This combination of curved metals and sapphire crystals is not only extremely difficult to machine and finish, but also incredibly challenging to make water-resistant to 30 metres.

““At MB&F we specialize in ‘kinetic sculptures which give time’ so it was definitely our calling. Nevertheless, the biomorphic design of this watch created enormous challenges in terms of the case but also the movement,” shares Maximilian Büsser. “The intricate case is entirely machined with 5-axis 3D mills and holds the five sapphire crystals which were not only extremely complicated to make but equally challenging to fit due to the curved nature of the case and the desire for a water resistance of 30 meters”.

A complex movement that breaks horological conventions

Inside the complex case, an equally complex movement that breaks all traditional watchmaking conventions, conceived and developed in-house by MB&F. From the beginning, one of Fabrizio’s central ideas was to bring Serpenti to (mechanical) life by animating its eyes; this has been materialised as revolving hour and minute domes, the left dome making a full rotation in 12 hours and the right one in 60 minutes. The paper-thin domes are machined from solid aluminium to make them as light as possible, requiring innovative milling processes. Both are adorned with hand-applied Super-LumiNova, so that when darkness falls, the luminous gaze of the snake’s eyes persists.

The mechanical reptile’s brain is symbolised by the technically challenging, oversized 14mm flying balance wheel with four traditional regulating screws, beating at the traditional rate of 2.5Hz (18,000bph). It is firmly held in place thanks to a three-dimensional balance bridge bearing the two partners’ names. Separate crowns are actuated for winding and time-setting, incorporated in the rear lugs of the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti.

Flipping the Machine over reveals the power reserve indicator, along with some of the other 310 components of the hand-finished movement. MB&F is one of the few remaining brands to uphold artisanal manufacturing processes and to finish components by hand; an approach only possible when crafting a very limited number of watches per year (just under 400 in 2024). The watchmakers at MB&F can only craft and assemble six to eight Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti movements per month; the 99 pieces will require over a year to deliver.

Watchmaking experts who have been following MB&F will recognise some of the unconventional features of the movement. These are the result of expertise patiently developed across the more than 20 calibres created by MB&F since 2005 – in particular the manual-winding HM10 movement, although significant modifications were required to serve the sleek new Serpenti design.

Automotive touches

In addition to its obvious Serpenti origins, this unique new series reveals another source of inspiration for its two creators. Both Fabrizio and Max are car design enthusiasts and grew up with the same automotive references. Initially, there was no plan to incorporate automobile design codes into the Bvlgari x MB&F

Serpenti, but there is no denying the influence that has seeped into this new creation: a case that resembles sleek automotive bodywork, a complex “stepped” sapphire crystal shaped like the flaps on the rear window of a sports car, crowns that could easily be mistaken for car wheels... The apparent portion of the movement also includes car engine-like components, including a grille with the famous hexagonal scale motif seen on previous Serpenti creations.

Three Limited Editions

There are three different versions to choose from, each limited to only 33 pieces. The first comes in a grade 5 titanium case with blue hour and minute domes. The second is housed in an 18K rose gold case and features piercing green eyes, and a third version is crafted from black PVD-coated stainless steel and comes alive with vibrant red eyes.

“MB&F and Bvlgari have come together to create a unique and groundbreaking snake that is sure to captivate watch collectors: with its striking design and innovative mechanical engineering, the Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti invites those who have long admired this mesmerizing creature from afar to finally embrace its power.

“This piece was a pleasure to design, but technically very challenging to produce,” says Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani. “The aim was to have a totally different vision. The snake is a magnificent object that appeals to many collectors. I think we succeeded in giving the Bvlgari serpent a new horizon. It is not just a feminine object linked to the brand’s DNA but, for the first time, a technical object that speaks to the Bvlgari aesthetic and showcases MB&F’s expertise. Like all good collaborations, it is a win-win project.”

In 1755 in Geneva, Jean-Marc Vacheron began writing the first chapter of a story that has become a remarkable human adventure – a quest for excellence passed down from generation to generation. The passion, expertise and creativity of the men and women of the Manufacture have shaped Vacheron Constantin’s identity through a subtle balance between technical mastery and artistic sensitivity. Deeply rooted in the workshops, these values do much to explain the Maison’s longevity. Since the turn of this century, Vacheron Constantin has marked each new decade by honouring its heritage, looking to the future and issuing a number of exceptional timepieces.

Throughout 2025, to mark 270 years of creation, tradition and innovation, a series of celebrations begins with the reissue of an iconic timepiece, much awaited by its clients, the Historiques 222, cased in stainless steel.

An extraordinary human quest

In the 18th century, when Vacheron Constantin was born, Geneva was a peaceful and economically prosperous city. ‘The factory that flourished most in Geneva was the watchmaking industry, which accounted for more than a fifth of the city’s population’, noted Diderot and d’Alembert’s Encyclopédie. Its booming economy was matched by great cultural richness: the home city of Rousseau, it attracted other great minds, including Voltaire, who took up residence the same year that the Maison was established. Jean-Marc Vacheron’s signing of his watchmaking apprenticeship contract in 1755 is regarded as the founding act of Vacheron Constantin – the beginning of a quest for watchmaking excellence driven by the determination and passion of successive generations. This contract also established a fundamental value of the Maison: the transmission of knowledge and skills. The sharing of knowledge over 270 years – at first supported by the open-mindedness of the Age of Enlightenment and always driven by the desire for constant progress – has forged the character of Vacheron Constantin. In 1819, Jacques Barthélémi Vacheron, the founder’s grandson, received a note from his

new business partner, François Constantin, urging him to “do better if possible, and that is always possible”. This maxim remains the motto of the Maison to this day.

Vacheron Constantin’s enduring success lies in its singular approach to watchmaking – one that deftly balances technical mastery and artistic sensitivity, mechanical complexity and craftsmanship, innovation and elegance. Witness the pocket watch with chronograph and chiming mechanism set in an elaborately chased 20k gold case, created in 1918 for American industrialist James Ward Packard; and the Les Cabinotiers Armillary Tourbillon, a single-piece edition timepiece created in 2023 for the dashboard of the bespoke Rolls-Royce Amethyst Droptail.

Timepieces such as these encapsulate the creativity and skill of the Maison’s watchmakers, artisans and designers, driven by perseverance and passion as they constantly push the boundaries, like a quest driven by perseverance and mastery.

This pursuit of fine workmanship has defined the Maison’s identity for the past 270 years and is showcased through a new communication campaign rolled out in 2025. The campaign refers to the quest for excellence that has always motivated Vacheron Constantin, both in the most accomplished expression of the art of watchmaking and in the promotion and transmission of knowledge. The result is a visual story of a human adventure which longevity is entirely dependent on this seek for beauty. Woodkid, a French musician and artistic director who has been working with the Maison for the past three years, notably on mentoring programs, has composed music dedicated to this 270-year quest for excellence.

Historiques 222 stainless steel watch, reinventing a symbol of daring creativity

To begin the celebration of 270 years of passion, and in response to the expectations of its clients, Vacheron Constantin presents the inaugural timepiece marking its anniversary year: the Historiques 222 in stainless steel.

This model harks back to a legendary creation, first unveiled in 1977 to mark its 222nd anniversary. Designed by Jorg Hysek, the model was an immediate departure from the sports watch conventions of the time, which had mainly been professional models for pilots, divers and explorers, and captured a new cultural mood that blurred the lines between formality and sportiness. As well as marking a break with traditional sports watch characteristics, the 222 was a quintessentially 1970s design and introduced a new stylistic signature to the Maison.

Fitted with an integrated bracelet, its case featured a functional construction with a flat table, topped by a prominent fluted bezel and stamped with a Maltese cross at 5 o’clock. The monobloc case, which required the movement to be fitted from the top, was water-resistant to 120 metres thanks to its screw-down bezel. Displaying the hours, minutes and date, the 222 also boasted exemplary slenderness at just 7 mm, thanks to the ultra-thin Calibre 1120; measuring a mere 3.05 mm, it was the world’s thinnest full-rotor automatic movement. Balancing this visual elegance, the simple, baton-style hands and hour-markers, and the large hexagonal central links of the bracelet conveyed an impression of robustness and confident modernity.

In 2025, Vacheron Constantin presents a new edition of the first 222 model – nicknamed ‘Jumbo’ by collectors and featuring a blue dial framed by a 37 mm stainless steel case. The re-edition benefits from several technical improvements. The joints of the

bracelet – which is now fastened with a triple-blade rather than a twin-blade clasp –have been redesigned to hide the visible pins and improve ergonomics. The caseback which bears a signature representing Vacheron Constantin’s 270th anniversary, has been fitted with a transparent sapphire crystal to reveal the in-house Calibre 2455/2. Slightly smaller in diameter than its predecessor, it is still only 3.6 mm thick. The oscillating weight of this high-precision movement is engraved with the original 222 logo and edged with a fluted motif reminiscent of the bezel. Thanks to its frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) – compared with 2.75 Hz on the original model – the movement offers enhanced precision and is endowed with a 40-hour power reserve.

On the dial, the date window has been moved towards the centre so that it no longer encroaches on the minutes track. The vintage font of the “AUTOMATIC” inscription and the Super-LumiNova® coating of the hands and hour-markers (off-white by day and lime green by night) are a nod to the hue of the tritium used in historical timepieces. The finishing displays Vacheron Constantin’s eternal attention detail, with a combination of vertical satin-brushing and polishing on several elements of the watch, such as the crown, bracelet and bezel, which creates fascinating light effects.

Like all of the models in Vacheron Constantin’s Historiques collection, the 222 marked an important point in the Maison’s history. While retaining the distinctive design –along with the nostalgic charm – of the original, the 2025 re-edition in stainless steel is absolutely contemporary, embodying the Maison’s core values with sophisticated refinement, a sense of casual ease and uncompromising commitment to the quest for excellence.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars unveils Black Badge Spectre – the marque’s alter ego, amplified. In addition to debuting bold exterior finishes, vivid interior details, and innovative opportunities for Bespoke, Black Badge Spectre can summon a four-figure torque output (1075 Nm), with a record 485 kW (659 hp) of power. This makes Black Badge Spectre the most powerful Rolls-Royce in history.

In every way, Black Badge Spectre is Rolls-Royce at its most potent and audacious – which perfectly captures the spirit of the bold individuals it has been created for, and who requested it. Black Badge clients are unique within Rolls-Royce -building their success on pushing boundaries and refusing to be defined by traditional codes of luxury. Their approach to luxury is no different. They accept nothing less than the most exquisitely crafted products and uncompromising experiences, but demand a dynamic edge and an unapologetic attitude that reflects their world, their story, and their daring.

The decision to craft such a potent motor car was driven by the extraordinary expectations of the marque’s Black Badge clients. Their rigorous demands required an equally formidable engineering response, built on Rolls-Royce’s profound understanding of what a Black Badge should be: effortlessly intense, immediate, and precise.

To ensure this philosophy accurately reflected how clients use their motor cars in the field, a group of Rolls-Royce owners granted engineers access to their anonymised driving data, allowing drivetrain specialists to quantitatively analyse their driving behaviour across hundreds of thousands of collective miles. This revealed that clients exploited maximum power in short pulses more than over extended periods. This insight provided powerful validation of the marque’s approach, perfectly matching the dramatic, intense character of the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever created—meticulously developed in the image of this bold client group.

HARNESSING FORMIDABLE POWER

For Black Badge Spectre, the concept of formidable bursts of power is taken to an extreme with two powertrain innovations. Although these functions are new for a Rolls-Royce motor car, they

have a historical precedent. In aircraft powered by the legendary Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, including the Supermarine Spitfire, pilots could obtain a burst of additional power by pushing a switch on the throttle quadrant. While the robust Merlin engine was easily able to accommodate these temporary pulses, pilots were required to report the use of the function on landing as a precaution to flight engineers – a requirement that does not apply to Black Badge Spectre drivers today.

The first innovation is a unique Infinity Mode, a tribute to the Infinity symbol used to signify a Black Badge Rolls-Royce. Unlocked by pressing the Infinity ∞ button on the steering wheel, the full 485 kW (659 hp) of power is made available, providing a more direct throttle response to the driver. Once this mode is activated, the dials become more vibrant to match the change in the motor car’s character.

Black Badge Spectre also features Spirited Mode, which allows the driver to experience a burst of intense, instantaneous acceleration. When the motor car is stationary, the driver engages this function by fully depressing the brake and throttle at the same time, waiting for a haptic and visual response signalling the car is ready, before fully releasing the brake. This temporarily amplifies the torque output to a landmark 1075 Nm, unleashing a surge of force and propelling the motor car from 0-60mph in just 4.1 seconds.

BLACK BADGE CHASSIS ENGINEERING

Rolls-Royce chassis specialists have introduced a number of changes to inspire clients to wield the unprecedented power of Black Badge Spectre with confidence. The steering weight is increased and the roll stabilisation is adjusted to create more feedback from steering inputs and reduce body-roll during cornering. Enhanced dampers also increase body control, reducing ‘squatting’ under acceleration or deceleration. These revisions perfectly balance an enhanced sense of engagement with the effortless operation and fêted Magic Carpet Ride associated with Rolls-Royce motor cars.

“The development of Black Badge Spectre began with our deep understanding of engineering the uncompromising nature of the Black Badge character, overlaid with the detailed analysis of client feedback and their driving style. Black Badge owners from around the world permitted our specialists to access their anonymised data, enabling us to create a new driving experience perfectly suited to – and validated by – the way our clients use their motor car. Following internal development, a small tranche of ‘secret’ Black Badge Spectres was built for a group of clients who requested the earliest possible access to this motor car. They emphatically approved of our engineering response, highlighting the powerful connection between Rolls-Royce and its clients.”

In response to their frequent enquiries, Rolls-Royce granted a select group early access to this motor car on the condition that they would keep their ownership secret until the official unveiling – a discreet introduction that resonated with the rebellious spirit of these individuals. A small, highly exclusive fleet of clandestine Black Badge Spectres was commissioned for these individuals ahead of the motor car’s reveal. Their emphatically positive response to Black Badge Spectre, and the motor car’s daring treatment that had been developed in their image, provided powerful validation of the most potent Rolls-Royce in history.

A DARKENED AESTHETIC

Black Badge Spectre makes its global debut in a new Vapour Violet paint finish, a deep black-violet inspired by the neon ambience of 1980s and 1990s club culture – a celebrated reference among many Black Badge clients. A painted Iced Black bonnet has also been introduced, creating a bold contrast that can be paired with the marque’s palette of 44,000 ‘prêt-à-porter’ colours. Alternatively, clients can develop a Bespoke hue reserved for their exclusive use, in collaboration with RollsRoyce Bespoke designers.

In addition to the existing shoulder and fender coachline options, clients are now able to commission a ‘waft’ coachline, located on the lower half of the super coupé. This accentuates a crisp design line on the lower third of the motor car, subtly emphasising its commanding form and generous proportions.

Black Badge Spectre also introduces a bold new 23-inch five-spoke forged aluminium wheel design. Available in a part-polished or all-black finish, the complex geometry subtly indicates the hidden technical complexity and potency of this motor car. Highlighting the increasingly broad geography of Black Badge clients, winter tyres are available for the new wheelset from launch.

As with all Black Badge models before it, Black Badge Spectre’s mirror-polished brightwork is presented in a signature dark finish, signalling its subversive, noire character. This includes the marque’s hallmark Pantheon Grille surround, Spirit of Ecstasy, and the double ‘R’ Badge of Honour, as well as the motor car’s door handles, expansive side window surround and bumper accents.

VIVID ILLUMINATIONS

Furthering its commitment to advanced, contemporary crafts, Rolls-Royce has developed a unique feature that enhances and intensifies Black Badge Spectre’s Illuminated Grille. A new Illuminated Grille backplate has been introduced for the motor car, which is offered in Tailored Purple, Charles Blue, Chartreuse, Forge Yellow and Turchese, allowing clients to extend their chosen colour onto this new canvas, or create a unique accent to complement a coachline or the interior. This vibrantly coloured illumination can extend into the interior with newly developed Illuminated Black Badge Treadplates, which are available in ten complementary colours.

A VIBRANT INNER SANCTUARY

The fascia comprises over 5,500 ‘stars’ of varying proportions and intensity, set in a Piano Black ‘sky’.

Framing this advanced craft feature is a richly complex Technical Fibre surface finish. This diamond-shaped weave uses carbon and fine metal thread on top of a black Bolivar wood base. The thread is laid by hand in a diamond pattern between layers of carbon fibre, creating a three-dimensional effect. Once cured, each interior piece is sandblasted, sealed with six layers of lacquer, and hand-polished to a flawless finish, adding striking depth and clarity.

Then a New Orleans’ jazz club interior aesthetic with a cigar humidor integrated into the saloon coffee-table on one Contest started a new trend, while an adventure sports storeroom on another yacht demonstrated two clearly different approaches to life onboard.”

SIX SENSES INTRODUCES INAUGURAL FEMALE WELLNESS PROGRAM

Female Wellness programs are the latest example of the Six Senses integrated wellness philosophy. With a focus on perimenopause, menopause, and holistic female well-being, each bespoke 3-, 5- or 7-day Female Wellness journey is designed to empower women with the insights and tools to keep their hormones and metabolism balanced through times of transition and during their monthly cycle.

Nabeel’s Story

Speaking of his illness and his experience onboard one of the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust’s trips, Nabeel Miah (17), says: “I know cancer affected my mental health. And when it affects your mental health, what you need is support. This charity can give you support; this can give you

help; this can provide you with what you need. And honestly, the sailing trips are spot on with that. It can help you build friends, connections, help with anything else.”

Each UK based sailing adventure starts with a welcome briefing, team bonding games, and a relaxed evening of getting to know each other before casting off the following day. And it’s this gentle and inclusive introduction that sets the tone for each trip, making the adventures a positive and life altering experience.

“I was really nervous,” continues Nabeel. “I’m not an introvert, but I just built up a lot of anxiety of meeting new people. The staff made it much better because they were friendly, they asked me questions, how I was feeling, how I was doing, they were very supportive.”

The charity’s trips allow young people to have fun, gain a new sense of purpose, realise what they are capable of, and feel accepted and no longer like ‘the only one’.

“When I had surgery, when I had cancer and everything, I always thought I was alone,” explains Nabeel. “But when I came on this trip, I

realised I wasn’t alone. When I’m speaking to everyone, it makes me feel like, we’re all in this together in a way. It just brings joy.”

Since the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust was founded by record-breaking round the world sailor Dame Ellen MacArthur twenty years ago, 3,405 young people have sailed with the charity.

Finally, under the watchful eye of The Glenlivet Cask Master Kevin Balmforth, this permanent new expression was carefully finished in custom casks from the heart of Jerez in Spain. These were seasoned with a bespoke blend of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherries, ensuring they would harmonize perfectly with the depth and maturity of this Single Malt whisky, elevating it to a masterpiece worthy of its age.

The choice of cask finish and extensive maturation period together pays testament to The Glenlivet’s unwavering commitment to quality and craftmanship within whisky making. The final flavour profile brings an impressive depth of flavour and extraordinary taste experience with rich notes of poached plums and charred orange, dark cherries, warming spice and braised red apples. The finish is rewardingly long and sweet.

1) Vincenzo, before we dive into the luxury real estate market, let’s clarify: what exactly does a Stone Consultant do?

A Stone Consultant is a specialized advisor who helps developers, architects, and designers navigate the complexities of natural stone selection, procurement, and quality control. Unlike suppliers who simply sell materials, a Stone Consultant ensures that the right stone is chosen based on aesthetic, technical, and budgetary considerations. We also oversee sourcing, logistics, and installation to guarantee the highest quality execution. Essentially, we eliminate guesswork and costly mistakes, ensuring that stone becomes an asset rather than a challenge in high-end developments.

2) Your work at Stonex Consulting is transforming the way natural stone is used in luxury real estate. What inspired you to disrupt this market?

The luxury real estate market is evolving rapidly, yet many developers and designers still struggle to integrate natural stone in a way that enhances both aesthetics and value. My goal is to bridge the gap between high-end architecture and intelligent material

selection. Too often, stone is seen as just another finish rather than a strategic asset. I founded Stonex Consulting to change that—to help developers and designers maximize both the design impact and financial returns of their projects through precise stone selection and direct procurement strategies.

3) How can the right natural stone selection increase a property’s value?

In luxury real estate, materials define perception. A well-selected stone can create an immediate emotional response—it signals exclusivity, craftsmanship, and permanence. The right selection enhances the design, aligns with the target buyer’s expectations, and differentiates the property in a competitive market. More importantly, by working with a strategic approach, we help clients avoid overpaying for stone that doesn’t add real value and instead guide them toward materials that maximize resale or rental potential.

4) So, STONEX Consulting is not a stone supplier. Can you explain what makes your consulting firm different?

5) You emphasize procurement as a critical part of your service. Why is direct procurement a game-changer for developers?

Direct procurement means bypassing unnecessary middlemen, which results in better quality control, cost efficiency, and access to premium materials that may not be available through standard supply channels. Many developers overpay for stone without realizing they can get superior quality at a better price

by working with the right sourcing strategy. STONEX Consulting helps them access the best quarries, negotiate effectively, and optimize logistics to ensure their investment in stone adds tangible value to their project.

6) What are the most common mistakes developers make when selecting stone?

The biggest mistake is selecting stone based purely on aesthetic appeal without considering technical performance, budget, maintenance, and long-term durability. Another major issue is late-stage procurement— stone should be selected early in the design phase, not after construction begins. Finally, many developers rely too heavily on local suppliers without exploring global options, which often results in overpaying or missing out on superior materials.

7) You work closely with luxury real estate developers. How does your expertise help them maximize project profitability?

Every decision in a luxury development should be made with the end buyer in mind. We analyze the target market, identify the right material positioning, and then source stone that enhances the project’s perceived value. By optimizing the supply chain and avoiding costly mistakes, we help developers improve their bottom line. A well-executed stone strategy can turn a property into a landmark—and that translates into premium pricing.

8) In your opinion, what is the future of natural stone in high-end real estate?

I see a shift towards highly customized applications. Luxury buyers no longer want generic materials—they seek rare stones, exclusive finishes, and personalized cuts. Sustainability is also becoming a major factor. Developers who integrate sustainable quarrying practices and responsibly sourced materials will gain a competitive advantage. Additionally, technology, such as digital templating and AI-powered selection tools, will streamline the procurement process, allowing for even more precision in design execution.

9) How do you help private clients, such as high-networth individuals building luxury residences?

Private clients often struggle to access the best materials because they don’t have direct relationships with quarries: they don’t how what where to buy and they don’t know how to control the quality ending up buying from the local market, often at a very inflated prices. Some of my clients saved more than 50% on the stone for their villa, using our direct procurement service: we find the best cost-effective solution to procure the stone selected with their designers, we take care of the quality control thanks to our Architectural Stone inspectors located in Italy, Greece, Turkey, Brazil, China and Portugal, and the whole logistic of it. Our job is to translate their vision into reality while ensuring the investment holds long-term value.

10) You have a strong background in marketing and strategy. How does that influence your work in stone consulting?

Understanding the psychology of luxury buyers is crucial. I don’t just look at stone as a material, I see it as a branding tool. The right stone selection tells a story; it enhances the identity of a development and creates an emotional connection with buyers. My background in marketing allows me to position materials in a way that resonates with high-end clientele, ensuring that every project we work on stands out in the market.

11) You’ve worked on some of the most prestigious luxury developments. Which projects have been the most rewarding for you?

There have been quite a few, but some really stand out. Grand Blue Tower by Elie Saab was a fantastic project where we used Calacatta Sponda, a rare and elegant marble that perfectly complemented the brand’s sophisticated aesthetic. Then there’s Vida Dubai Mall, where we sourced and implemented a stunning Italian Silver Travertine façade—a choice that wasn’t just about beauty but also durability in Dubai’s climate. And of course, Majestic Vistas, the Lamborghini-branded villas—that was a unique challenge. The stone selection had to reflect the boldness and prestige of Lamborghini, so we worked with high-contrast, statement-making materials that really set the project apart. Each of these was incredibly rewarding because they show

how the right stone can do more than just look good— it reinforces a brand’s identity and adds real value to a property.

12) What should an architect or designer consider when selecting stone for a luxury project?

Beyond aesthetics, they need to consider longevity, maintenance, and sourcing. Stone should not only look stunning but also withstand the test of time. We guide architects through technical aspects like porosity, resistance to climate conditions, and installation best practices. A well-informed choice ensures that the project maintains its beauty and value for decades.

13) What’s next for you and Stonex Consulting? Any exciting projects on the horizon?

We are expanding our footprint in the ultra-luxury residential and hospitality markets, particularly in the UAE and Europe. We’re also working on a digital platform that will revolutionize how stone inspections and quality control are managed. My long-term vision is to set a new global standard for how natural stone is integrated into luxury developments—one that prioritizes quality, exclusivity, and strategic value.

14) Finally, looking back at your career so far, what’s been the most fulfilling part?

Without a doubt, it’s seeing the direct impact my expertise has on the success of a project. When I walk

Irina Kush’s journey began in Chisinau, Moldova, where she was raised in a family with Russian roots. With a thirst for knowledge and a drive for success, she earned her Bachelor’s degree from Moscow State University (MSU). Later, she ventured to the United States to complete a Master’s degree in Marketing and Communication at the University of California, San Diego. Not one to stop there, Irina went on to earn a Ph.D. in the History of the Middle East, showcasing her passion for learning and her interest in diverse cultures.

Fluent in Russian, Arabic, Turkish, and English, Irina has made a name for herself as a global professional. Her career spans senior management roles in Retail, Manufacturing, and Private Investments across multiple countries. She’s also an accomplished entrepreneur, with successful ventures in Turkey, the UAE, and Russia.

In 2006, Irina moved to Dubai, where she immersed herself in Investment and Real Estate. By 2014, she found her calling in the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) and Company Incorporation industries. Since then, she has been helping clients from diverse backgrounds—including Russians, Lebanese, Iranians, Syrians, Americans, and Indians—achieve their dreams of global mobility and financial security.

1. What was your first job in your current industry?

In 2014, I took a leap of faith and founded a startup in the Citizenship by Investment industry. It was an exciting and challenging start to a journey that has turned out to be incredibly rewarding.

2. Why did you choose to work in this industry?

I’ve always been passionate about helping people create opportunities and secure brighter futures for themselves and their families. This industry allows me to combine that passion with my expertise in business, investments, and real estate. It’s deeply fulfilling to know that my work can have such a life-changing impact on others.

3. What do you like about your job? What I love most is the personal connections I build with clients. Every client has a unique story, and being part of their journey toward achieving life-changing goals is incredibly rewarding. It’s a constant reminder of why I love what I do.

The fact that I get to make a real difference in people’s lives. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the joy and relief on a client’s face when their goals are finally achieved.

15. What is your favorite memories from your career so far?

I’ve had so many memorable moments, but a few stand out. One time, a client gave me an expensive designer bag as a thankyou gift after she and her family obtained citizenship. It was such a heartfelt gesture that I’ll always treasure.

Another special memory was with a Lebanese client who had been struggling with visa rejections for years. She couldn’t visit her brother in Germany, and they hadn’t

been able to gather as a family. After she received her second passport, they finally reunited this past Christmas. Seeing the joy and gratitude in her eyes was incredibly moving.

And, of course, I’ll never forget the partnership I formed with Henry Fan in May 2023. Establishing Globevisa’s MENA office was a major milestone in my career and an exciting step forward for our team.

T“he Procigar Festival 2025 has come to a successful ending, with another year of celebrating the rich heritage and craftsmanship of Dominican premium cigars. This exclusive event, which gathered cigar aficionados, industry professionals, and international guests, featured immersive experiences, factory and farm tours, and spectacular evening celebrations.

Throughout the festival, attendees had the opportunity to visit the renowned tobacco farms and cigar factories of Procigar member companies, witnessing firsthand the meticulous process of growing, curing, fermenting, and rolling some of the world’s finest cigars. These tours provided a deep insight into the artistry and dedication behind each premium Dominican cigar.
