The Advancement of Research for Mechatronics System (ARMS) and External Management for Building Resources, Affiliation, and Capacity Enhancement (EMBRACE) are programs that would help the Mechatronics Engineering (MEE) student researchers formulate contemporary solutions or innovations that would aid the problems faced by the community in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Association of Integrated Mechatronics Engineering Students (AIMEES) was the first student organization to establish a Memorandum of Understanding with the Development and Innovation Officer (DIO), signed last March 2022. Under DIO are the SPARKS Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centers and Cybernetics’ twelve Regional Development Centers. This partnership is one of the keys to aiding the development and maximizing the capability and capacity of the programs’ benefactors for its beneficiaries.

Ms. Aranni Saising, a fourth-year MEE student and department and student organization that adheres to the research agendas of Bulacan State University.

As the current AIMEES President, Ms. Saising, and her co-officers, have been preparing to launch the program so that there will be a proper flow of events and success once it is implemented, expectedly by the fourth quarter of the year 2022.

There are things that the students from the MEE Department have to prepare, but the AIMEES organization will still provide everything. She and the AIMEES organization expect the MEE students to participate in and be part of every plan that ARMS and EMBRACE have prepared.

AIMEES’ President for the Academic Year 2022–2023, has developed the said program to upskill the capacities and capabilities of her colleagues in MEE as potential student researchers.

“There are a lot of set goals enlisted with these ARMS and EMBRACE programs, and some are the following: to find a community recipient that will benefit from the research studies and outcomes of the MEE students in BulSU and as well raise special concerns and technological solutions for the betterment of society; provide technical and financial assistance to the MEE students as they pursue their project studies; extend our linkages with local and international collaborators for sponsorships; acquire new knowledge, experiences, and skills to complement the learnings gained from the university in an actual research project; and showcase the capabilities held by the MEE students for the future,” she said.

Through the programs she aims to launch, she projects that both MEE and the AIMEES will be sought-after research and solution-providing
