The project, is located near the historic centre of the medi- eval-age city of Millesimo (province of Liguria) and aims to create a system of pedestrian walkways as a response to the problem of the urban mending of the two parts of the village that are separated from the river Bormida. The project idea for the redevelopment of the area adjacent to the bridge, of the thirteenth century, Gaietta, is thought as a supplement of the old bridge, both from the functional point of view, to allow the transition between the two banks, both from the formal point of view, as a dialogue between the ancient bow and the new one.
The goal is to design new functions, reorganize and redevel- op part of a territory otherwise excluded from the village of Millesimo, which due to its own conformation tends to close down the Bormida river.
