“The residents and visitors we had over the weekend really enjoyed getting out and taking advantage of the day with family, friends, and neighbours all the while following the COVID-19 restrictions. The Good News Community Church members put together carnival and family games as well as invited event goers to join in on a family baseball and basketball game which had a wonderful turn out! It was fantastic to see the community together again! We had Kumson Electrical sell snow cones and was one of our scavenger hunt locations. The scavenger hunt was hosted by the village and it was exciting to see hunters wandering through the village looking for clues.” The Ryley Fire Department kicked off the event with a mini parade complete with sirens and lights. Matyachuk was so appreciative of their efforts, and said that even though it was small, “it warms your heart to see that kind of community spirit.”
