WAITING ON FOREVER 700 days. For 700 days Remy has been in our care looking for her forever home. Remy has officially become our longest resident ever here at SafeHaven. Every day our staff hold out hope that this spunky, sweet, amazing girl will find her happily-ever-after with her forever family. To be perfectly honest, Remy isn’t the dog for everyone. Once she is comfortable with you, she is your best friend, but Remy has only known stability here at the shelter and the unknown scares her. She takes time to warm up to new people and situations. She won’t be a dog you meet once and go home with the same day.
Remy will need someone willing to continue to work with her. She most likely will need to be the only animal in the home and would thrive with adults and older children. Despite her challenges, Remy is amazing. She has accepted the staff as part of her family. She sees them coming and immediately wags her tail and knows she is going to get attention. She would spend hours playing in the yard (although she’s not the biggest fan of the rain) and nothing makes her happier than playing ball.
