Tradition Continues at Sidewalk Arts Fest on Valentine’s Weekend In the early days of intimate presentations of artistic talent at various live shows and small gatherings in Placencia Village, one group of art enthusiasts decided it was time for people living outside the Placencia Peninsula to discover the creativity existing in this
southern paradise. Little did they know that in a short time it would grow into one of the major annual events in the area attracting over a thousand people from near and far. “It was exciting, so exciting!” recalled Candy Pow-

DJs Bring Electrifying Beats to Placencia
Twelve DJs brought the thumping beats of electronic music to the Placencia Peninsula on the Jan. 30 – Feb. 1 weekend. The event was the first of its kind in Belize
