THE CHURCH GIRL LIFESTYLE Meet Courage Molina Courage Molina is a Faith Coach and everyone’s favorite Bible Teacher! It’s no surprise that her life’s work is to help ambitious, purpose-driven women to build extraordinary faith so that they have the confidence to go after the life they really want. She believes the foundation of becoming your most bold, confident, and courageous self is in the daily habit of studying and applying the word of God to your life!

As the Lead Pastor for Dose of Courage Community Church, a global online church for entrepreneurial women, she preaches and teaches the Bible weekly. Through her online school Courage Molina University, her courses teach women how to build routines, habits, and mindsets that will support them on their journey to greatness. Courage is also an author and the host of the award-winning podcast Dose of Courage. She is a wife and mother of 3, currently living in NC.

Who is Courage Molina in four words? Woman with a mission. When did you discover your passion for teaching the Bible to women with a focus on entrepreneurs? I’ve enjoyed teaching the Bible to women for years, but the focus on entrepreneurs didn’t happen until I was one myself. The faith needed for this journey of entrepreneurship is different! How did Dose of Courage come about? It all started as a way to share whatever lessons I learned from my time in the word each morning. On my way to work, I would go live on FB and give the people a dose of courage for the day from the word of God. The rest is herstory, as they say...lol. What message do you hope women take away from your brand? That YOU is exactly what the world’s been waiting for, and it’s your responsibility to show up in ALL your God-given glory! What has been your most valuable lesson as an entrepreneur? My most valuable lesson as an entrepreneur has been to do ONE thing a million times instead of a million things ONE time. How has God surprised you the most in your business? The opportunities and relationships I’ve built with women who have HUGE platforms, followings, and blue checks. It’s crazy because my following is small (BUT MIGHTY...lol), but He has elevated the work I do in a way no marketing strategy could have.

Where do you hope to see your brand in the next 3-5 years? In short, a household name recognized for our impact in the church and in the marketplace. God is doing something amazing with the Dose of Courage Community Church! How can we connect with Dose of Courage Community Church? Join us every Saturday at 8 a.m. as we Livestream on YouTube, followed immediately by community discussion via Zoom. Get all the details of how you can connect along with a FREE bible study guide of your choice when you join our email list at bit.ly/docbiblestudy How are you bridging the gap between faith and entrepreneurship? I’m bridging the gap between faith and entrepreneurship through my group membership program, Courageous Faith. In the program, I teach purpose-driven, ambitious women HOW to study the Bible for application and provide them with the framework and accountability to actually get the WORK done and serve as God has called them to in the marketplace.

HERSTORY SPOTLIGHT

Aura E. Martinez Aura E. Martinez is a Self-Discovery & Empowerment Coach, helping women gain total clarity in their purpose so they can wake up to daily fulfillment and certainty. As a person who has traveled the world as a Flight Attendant, the opportunity has helped her learn and see so much, and she discovered the most fabulous place for us all to see that is truly the key to greater well-being and purpose, and she shares that with others worldwide. She is the creator of the Aura Blueprint and founder of Live to the Max™/Viva al máximo™. She is also the author of the book Creating a Lifetime of Wellness: Start Having the Life You Deserve, which has been seen in Spirituality & Health magazine, Psychology Today, and Natural Awakening NYC edition magazine. Who is Aura E. Martinez in four words? Multifaceted. Passionate. Purposeful. Creative.

When did you discover your passion for empowering women and helping them gain clarity on who they truly are? I discovered it as I was helping women lose weight and get out of the sugar rollercoaster they would find themselves in since I started out as a Wellness and Life Coach. Through my clients' journeys, as well as my own, I realized that if we gain clarity on who we are, what's truly running the show, and get to the core of our own selves, then we can literally and simultaneously transform different parts of us and our life. It is this discovery and profound knowledge of ourselves that truly empower us. This is why I say, "Seek your transformation, not inspiration, because your transformation will be your inspiration." What inspired "Aura Blueprint" and "Live to the Max™/Viva al máximo™"? Aura Blueprint™ is actually the process I use to help my clients get the transformation they desire, and yes, it has my name for a reason.

That's because every letter of my name represents a step of that process. The company, Live to the Max™/Viva al máximo™, was inspired by the fact that I believe all of us are designed to live to the max, however way that looks like for each and every one of us. Since I do my work in English and Spanish, it's written in both languages. What message do you hope women take away from your brand? That they are more powerful than they can possibly imagine. That everything they need is within them. That the desires of their heart are not just placed there for nothing. Through inner work, they are able to truly step into their own power. Everything they want is an inside job. And in particular, for the women who look like me (I'm Dominican-American, Afro-Latina), I want them to know that healing is possible for them. Success is possible for them. Sometimes the challenges we go through can feel insurmountable, but if they persist, if they continue with their healing, if they continue to develop themselves, they will get through the other side of it.

What can readers expect when connecting with your brand? They can expect to feel empowered. I strongly believe that each of us can transcend whatever challenges are put our way and that through our own inner work, we get to the other side and create our life by design. They can expect to feel excited about their future and life right now, knowing that who and where they are right now is the best start to the life they desire. You are also the author of Creating a Lifetime of Wellness: Start Having the Life You Deserve. Can you share the message of this book? This book covers the different areas of our lives that we sometimes neglect that play a role in our overall well-being. Some of the topics covered in this book are: how you need an oasis, knowing what your needs are, choosing your friends right, choosing your companion right, sleep, your relationship with your body, and more. Overall, this book encourages self-discovery in all these areas to create that lifetime of wellness we all seek. Where do you hope to see your brand in the next 3-5 years? I see it as a household name and a place where people go to deepen their selfknowledge. It is my desire to offer more books and journals. It currently offers mugs to encourage people to be mindful of their own self-talk throughout the day as they sip their coffee or tea. I plan on offering group programs eventually and more courses for people to deepen their understanding of themselves. There is so much in my heart that I want to offer and do in order to grow this brand.

What is your definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustles? To me, a Pretty Woman Who Hustles is a woman who hustles with soul, with joy, and with purpose. When the hustle has all these three that I just mentioned, it makes the hustle pleasant, which eases the stress and keeps a woman looking and feeling pretty.

The Credit Edition

HUSTLING OUR WAY INTO FINANCIAL FREEDOM As well know, credit is power. The higher your FICO score, the better. With a great credit score, the opportunities to a better life are endless. Applying for that dream job, low insurance rates, and little to no down payment for a vehicle are just a few perks. Meet Charity Curry from Courageous Circle, LLC! She’s a Credit Restoration girl boss based out of Memphis, TN. Curry has been a credit-saver for over five years, and it’s her mission to help families create and implement successful financial systems and strategies. Her strategies not only will save you time and money but give you peace of mind!

Who doesn’t like peace?! Not only that, Courageous Circle, LLC caters to families who plan to have life-changing events, such as an increase in salary, home purchases, starting a savings account, and much more.

First things first, if I’m unable to afford help with credit restoration, what are some steps I can take to improve my credit? 1. First, pull your first annual credit report from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. 2. Check for mistakes or serious errors, such as false delinquencies. 3. Purchase the Courageous Circle, LLC $10 DIY Credit Repair Kit. We’ve created this package to assist individuals with the process and journey towards your new beginning. 4. Give yourself grace and have patience. This isn’t an overnight process. 5. Once you start improving your credit, don’t fall for the preapproval letters you will get in the mail. Put them in the trash.

Please provide three important credit tips that we should know. 1. Keep your credit card utilization below 30 %. Keeping your credit utilization low can increase your attractiveness to lenders and get you access to better rates and larger loans. 2. Consider using a credit monitoring service. Credit monitoring tracks your credit report for changes. Depending on the service, it will track adjustments to your FICO score as well. When a change occurs on one or more credit reports, your monitoring service will send you an email to alert you. 3. Before getting an additional credit card to build your credit, check the current ones you have.

Stephanie believes giving back to the less fortunate is a key component of success. Stephanie understands the challenges of starting a business and finds joy in assisting those who don’t know where to begin or are afraid to take that important first step What inspired your start in Small Business and Entrepreneurship coaching? At 23, I started my first business, an ice cream shop. There weren’t many business resources for Black Owned Businesses in my city during that time. I knew that if I needed help, there were other people who looked like me in need of assistance with starting a business, too. When did you realize you had a message that needed to be released in book form? I realized that I needed to create an essential business tool to help my start-up community when I noticed many businesses were closing down due to no point of reference or business plan. When you do not have a plan for your book, your brand, or your business, you are setting yourself up for failure. My goal was to plant as many copies of Readi-Set Go! A Simple Guide To Establishing A Successful Small Business into as many households within the United States.

One of the effective strategies I implement through Stephanie A. Wynn Business Solutions is the S.A.W. Method™, a method where I teach authors and business owners how to build a solid brand without the overwhelm. Your company assists upcoming entrepreneurs and small businesses as well as authors. Can you share a piece of advice for new authors? One important piece of advice I would give to authors would be to believe in your book! If you do not believe in your book, how do you expect others to believe in your book to purchase it? What are three tips to effectively re-market a past released book? 1. Create a growth mindset 2. Create a plan for your book 3. Execute and stay consistent Where do you hope to see your brand in the future? Our mission at Stephanie A. Wynn Business Solutions Brand is to impact and transform 7 million authorpreneurs and to be the most sought-after branding, marketing, and business development company for authorpreneurs.

Hello Spring

LEADER. ADVOCATE. Tiffany D. WORLD-CLASS PROFESSIONAL. Bell PWH FEATURE

With the definition of professionalism lingering amongst the uncertainty of a trendy culture, Tiffany D Bell stands as proof that business reliability is far from being a lost art in this generation. Tiffany D. Bell is a multidimensional leader, influencer, and communal advocate. Having spent more than two decades providing the best in managerial, administrative, and servant leadership, Tiffany is often counted as one able to execute at high levels, regardless of unforeseen circumstances, quintessential business pivots, or various setbacks. As the Nonprofit CEO of Gulfport, MS, Tiffany consults with nonprofits from around the globe, creating sustainability and expanding their reach and credibility as they impact and change lives. As a servant leader, she walks out an intentional effort to impact young women’s lives with the hope of the Gospel. As one on a mission to show female CEOs how to step forward in their power when faced with difficult circumstances, Tiffany has translated 25 years of experience in community outreach and leadership training into a formidable blueprint made for transforming lives. Tiffany has published many international best-selling books and enjoys training others how to build momentum around their message that ultimately influences others to make positive life choices. When Tiffany D. Bell is not serving her community, changing lives throughout Mississippi and abroad, she is a proud mother of two sons and a grandmother of two.

Who is Tiffany D Bell in four words? Advocate. Compassionate. Servant Leader. When did you discover your passion for working with female CEOs? I discovered that I enjoyed working with female leaders through my conference, Success Women’s Conference. My partners and I realized that we had a platform to empower and inspire women from around the globe to be and do the thing they dreamed of. Before long, we had nearly 1500 women flooding in to attend the conference and tens of thousands viewing the conference online. We were named one of the Top Ten Conferences for Professional Black Women to attend. About that same time, I began coaching nonprofit leaders on how to connect and meet the needs of their communities more effectively. I began to see that I had a talent for helping them see potential answers to the problems they were facing. The more I engaged, the more I began to enjoy it. Can you share the mission behind your brand as the Nonprofit CEO? As a Nonprofit Consultant, I build help build sustainable nonprofits. I help Nonprofit leaders access the resources, tools, and information to elevate their brand and expand their mission while having a greater impact on the communities they serve. I work hand-in-hand with leaders to improve marketing efforts to ensure that their brand messaging attracts donors, volunteers, and potential community partners. I teach them how to maximize tools and resources so that they spend less time in the office and more time being the face of the organization within their community. Lastly, I assist with creating long-term strategies to increase their organizations’ revenue.

What tips do you have for entrepreneurs looking to join the nonprofit world? The first thing that I find the need to explain to people who are considering starting a nonprofit is that it is not something they will own. Though we hear people mention or say, “my nonprofit,” the truth is that the nonprofit actually belongs to the community it serves. There are some really great tax benefits to having a nonprofit, so creating one can definitely be beneficial; however, you will always be known as the founder of the NP, but eventually, as it grows, know that it can possibly grow out of your control. Remember, NPs are started/founded by community members but are not owned by any one person. Do your research before heading in this direction. Be sure to speak with a CPA/lawyer to see if this is a good move. Second, remember that nonprofits are businesses too. So, it takes just as much work to get it off the ground and running as it does your for-profit venture. It takes grit to keep it going. Money will not simply flow into your hands! Many people believe that running a nonprofit means that grants are readily available. To a certain extent, yes, there are lots of grants out there, but do you qualify? Do you have an experienced grant writer who has written grants in your area of expertise that results? Just because you’re a 501c(3) doesn’t mean that the funding that you need will be waiting on you. It’s more complicated than what most people realize. For those who may not know, what is the difference between for-profit organizations and nonprofits? The overall goal of a nonprofit is to make the world a better place by focusing on specific areas of need. Nonprofits minimize cost and funnel profits back into the organization to serve the nonprofit’s mission, whereas a for-profit maximizes its profits, funneling the revenue back into the pockets of the owners/investors.

Another major difference is that nonprofits (501c3) are exempt from paying income tax. Like a forprofit organization, a nonprofit still may pay employment and property taxes. This varies from state to state. Nonprofits are still required to report their income to both the federal and state governments. You have over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. What has been your biggest challenge thus far? As an NP professional and an entrepreneur, my biggest challenge has always been finding and maintaining balance. I love my family, and I love my community. I want to be available to serve both, but I must admit that in some seasons, I struggle! I have come to believe that balance might actually be a myth. Are there seasons in which I find myself handling more than the previous season? Yes! Are there seasons that are less stressful? Yes, again! Do I love both seasons? Yes! Can I choose? No, not at all. I just ask for the grace to handle and enjoy what comes my way. In the end, I know my purpose in life. I was created to connect people to resources, people to people, and most importantly, PEOPLE TO GOD! With that in mind, I do what I can when I can with little-to-no complaints! You are a best-selling author of several books. What message remains true through all of your work? I was listening to Joyce Meyer one day, and she said the words, “Uncommon Courage.” Instantly, I knew to hold those words close to my heart. As a child and well into adulthood, I was plagued by fear and timidity. I was not clear on what my voice or my message should sound like. Now I know that courage looks different on everyone.

Some women are designed to be loud and outgoing. Others seem to be shy. When either woman speaks and moves with God’s power, her words cause people and things to shift! Courage is not common but unique to her as an individual. Today, Uncommon Courage is the name of my publishing company. I began with a blog that focused on helping women to find their unique purpose and voice. Since then, I have published a series of books that empower and encourage women to walk in their power. My latest release, Affirmations of a Woman on the Move, features thirty-nine women sharing their favorite power statement that helped shape their mindset and focus on being what God has called them to be.

If you could collaborate with any organization or brand, who would it be? Care Net. The mission of Care Net is to assist pregnancy centers in providing accurate and helpful information in a compassionate environment, to empower life-affirming choices that change lives. I found myself alone, pregnant, and afraid at age nineteen. I was not aware of pregnancy centers at the time, but I desperately needed their support and care. Eventually, I was introduced to their mission and knew instantly that I wanted to make a difference in this same area. I worked as an executive director at a PRC for eight years and volunteered for five years. I know and understand the fear of experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. To partner with Care Net would be an honor and privilege, knowing that I was helping to create an atmosphere for a young woman to feel accepted and empowered to make a positive choice for life. What is your definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustles? First, I think that true beauty is based on the heart. You can see the true beauty of a person by the attitude of the heart, which is seen and heard in the words that she uses. It is also shown in the way that she carries herself. Attitude is everything! A Pretty Woman Who Hustles is intentional to move and make things move in the direction she needs them to go. So, a beautiful woman who is on the move and making things move is my definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustles.

Hawaii

THE PERFECT VACATION DESTINATION Perhaps the greatest reason you should consider taking a Hawaii vacation is that it’s the perfect destination for family vacations, romantic getaways, and trips with a group of friends.

You will also find that many Hawaii activities and attractions are designed for individuals of all ages, which is nice if you are planning a family vacation. So, let’s take a look at the wonderful Island of Hawaii. Hawaii, translated from the ancient Hawaiian language, should mean paradise because that’s what it is. Hawaii is home to eight National Park Service areas. Hawaii’s National Park Service areas include two national parks collectively comprised of three active volcanoes, four sites dedicated to exploring Hawaiian cultural history, and a memorial commemorating the beginning and end of World War II in the Pacific. They also include a breathtaking isolated peninsula with a dark history, two massive sea-level-to-volcanosummit parks, and a future national historic site, which is currently being restored. The Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is a must-see for all tourists. This National Park is situated on 377 square miles of a vast array of landscaping. Hawaii has a climate that varies only several degrees in temperature yearround, and the sun always shines.

The rainy season is in January, but it isn’t so rainy that it deters visitors. In fact, winter is one of the most popular times of year to visit Hawaii. This is probably because it is cold and dreary just about everywhere else in the United States. There are six major islands to visit in Hawaii: Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and the island of Hawaii! Each has its own distinctive personality, adventures, activities, and sights. Each of these sites is as interesting as they are unique. Hawaii makes for a great family vacation because of the wide variety of family-friendly activities, such as swimming or surfing on one of Hawaii’s amazing beaches. Once you have decided to travel to Hawaii, it may be beneficial to employ the assistance of a travel agent. Travel agents are fueled by their passion for helping others. Utilizing a travel agent will eliminate the stress and anxiety associated with planning your travel to Hawaii. Remember, travel agents are connected and will get you the best deal and put a wonderful itinerary together for the time that you are enjoying your trip.
