Back on the Mapp After 18 years of success in Horsham, Mapp & Company have decided that the time is right for a re-fit and new branding. The new logo was revealed at an exclusive event last Friday (August 27th) after months of careful planning, market research and a good deal of hard work. The fresh look comes in a year that has also seen re-designs at sev-

eral other successful agents, including Brock Taylor and Leaders. Husband and wife owners Chris and Tina Skelton commented. “We have built a fantastic business based on integrity and professionalism which enjoys a loyal following of clients who come back time after time. Now our task is to market ourselves to new people who would not have previously thought of

using an independent estate agency like us: Hence our new slogan …Refreshingly Independent. “To Mapp & Company the word independent means not pushing home buyers into seeing financial advisors or in house conveyancers. “We believe people prefer to choose these services themselves from the many excellent mortgage providers and solicitors in and

around the town. How refreshing to walk into an estate agent and only be offered a house?”

A survey by the Halifax reveals that our perfect property from the UK's favourite TV shows is, with 40% of votes, the open plan homes of Ramsay Street where famous former neighbours included Scott and Charlene aka Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue. In second place with 35% was the village of Midsomer whose quaint cottages apparently made up for its unusually high mortality rate. And in third equal position were Coronation Street’s red-brick terraces. Friends’ Manhattan lofts and the Southfork mansion from Dallas each scored 8%. The Halifax survey also asked how much DIY respondents were prepared to undertake in order to achieve their perfect home. 62% claimed they would make structural changes to their home, while 65% would tackle a loft conversion. And when questioned about searching for a home, only half of respondents would select their other half as their ideal viewing partner.
