Kally U-Shaped Pregnancy Pillow Being just 12 weeks pregnant when the Kally U-Shaped Pregnancy Pillow arrived I was a bit blown away by the size of it, would I really need this much pillow? Would it actually fit in the bed? This pillow comes with one white cover, with additional pillowcases available from £14.99 (usual price £19.99) and a 14-night sleep trial to see it its right for you. At such an early stage in my journey and with less of a bump than when I eat an entire pizza, I put the pillow to one side expecting to use it much later on. However, it was around this time I started experiencing hip and shoulder pain, I have always slept on my front, but this was beginning to hurt my lower back (and two other body parts that had experienced a growth spurt), side sleeping was the lessor of two evils. I thought I would give the pillow a test run and wow I should have been using it sooner, the pressure on my shoulder and hip joint was immediately relieved and there was something very comforting about being hugged by this cuddly monster. The Kally U has anti-allergy treated fibres to protect against bacteria (we are talking night sweats amongst the array of other fluids that we probably shouldn’t get into right now). The Breathable cotton outer layer and hollowfibre filling keeps you nice and cool even when snuggled right into the pillow, this is a medium softness pillow (rated 5/10) providing just enough support for me. The U-Shape has been designed to encourage healthy sleeping positions, promoting side sleeping with support where it’s needed and reduce tossing about and rolling onto your back during the night. If you want to roll onto your other side during the night you don’t need to rearrange your bedding, simply roll over. The pillow can be used post-partum for a better night’s sleep, back support when watching tv or pulled around the front of the body as a nursing pillow, it can even be used for conditions like sciatica, fibromyalgia, gastric reflux and ME. The only issue I found was the included cover has already become a bit bobbled after just 5-6 weeks of use, this certainly isn’t a deal breaker though, it is so comfortable and versatile remaining cool throughout the night (and day) this wouldn’t put me off.

This will become your favourite bed companion, offering a comfortable and supportive space to get some sleep during your pregnancy. For more information on the Kally U-Shaped Pregnancy Pillow click here
