PERAA names three Lacsonians as TOPM ‘14 By Mdpn. Joeffre A. Paterno and Mdpn. Jeton Jun S. Legaspi Jr. Recognizing the exceptional contribution that they have imparted to their institution, Private Education Retirement Annuity Association (PERAA) has again named three Lacsonians who were qualified for the Top Three national winners in its search for the Top Outstanding PERAA Member 2014, September 1. Dr. Ralph L. Pador, Unit Administrator, Ms. Mary Luna Dawn B. Cabingan, Guidance Counselor, and Dr. Noel B. Orquinaza, Faculty, were the university’s nominees who passed the screening, evaluation, and interview by the PERAA screening committee. “Know yourself and all of your fine qualities. Always believe that you will ultimately succeed in whatever you do, and never forget being God-fearing and the value of persistence, perseverance, and determination. You are meant to be whatever you dream of becoming,” said Ms. Cabingan. To be a TOPM awardee, nominees must pass their respective papers for evaluation of supporting documents and from there the top 20 will be selected and undergo the final interview wherein the Top 3 for each category will be chosen. “Being one of the Top 3 finalists of the TOPM is both a blessing and a responsibility for me. because I have the chance to give honor to the university, where I am now, and to my family. It is a responsibility because, as a teacher, I need to fully perform my duties and responsibilities to positively influence my students which would last for eternity and to continuously teach and learn until my last breath,” said Dr. Orquinaza. Teaching Level A, Teaching Level B, Non-teaching Level A (Administrative Level) and Non-Teaching Level B (Administrative Staff) were the different categories in which Dr. Pador, Ms. Cabingan and Dr. Orquinaza were declared winners in the 3rd, 4th and 2nd category respectively.
This search aims to recognize the deserving members of the association with outstanding contributions to their institutions as well as to the community. Moreover, winners together with their respective rankings on the top three will be announced and awarded on October 17, 2014 at Puerto Princesa City, Palawan during the PERAA’s 42nd Anniversary Celebration. PERAA is an organization that provides adequate and affordable retirement programs to participating private educational institutions by operating as a non-profit organization.
