In the history of village establishment, there were six Thai Phuan families migrated from Xieng Khouang, Laos, by crossing Mekong River to settle in Nong Khai Province. They occupied six Bodhi trees in the same area for resting and then set up their village afterwards and it has become Thai Phuan Pho Tak village thereafter.

Pho Tak Local Fabric Weaving Community applies local wisdom’s knowledge and techniques from generation to generation in making such impressive products. They keep developing products constantly to make products in trend and in demand of the market. In combination between local weaving techniques and traditional patterns of Thai Puan fabric, it makes finished products fascinating, beautiful and unique.
