Local Wisdom-Based Handicraft Group, Tha Bo District, Nong Khai Province originated from Mr. Phakaphon Krongmanee who had to travel to work abroad often. While waiting to board the plane, he saw the wooden kitchen utensils for sale at the airport. Therefore, he became interested and did not want to be away from his family to work abroad again. So he decided to quit his job to learn and produce wooden kitchen utensils for sale by starting to work within a family of only 3 people in 2012
Local Wisdom-Based Handicraft Group there are approximately 35-40 employees and local craftsmen registered the group under the name “Local Wisdom-Based Woodcraft Group”. The group produces kitchen utensils made out of teak wood sanded and refinished on the surface with coconut oil free ofchemicals and harmful substances. The products are distributed both domestically and internationally, such as ladles, turners, dippers, butter knife, etc.
