OCT 2020 | Alex and I met in San Francisco shortly after moving there as a travel nurse. After dating for a year and a half, Alex surprised me and proposed at one of our favorite spots under the Golden Gate Bridge. Shortly after the proposal, the wedding planning began! Because I’m originally from Louisiana, we chose the Dallas area to hold the wedding so that it would be a spot that is easy for both sides to travel to. Since we were planning the wedding from across the country, I was looking for a venue that not only included a lot of the wedding details already but was easy to work with as well. Once we found The Pearl and visited the venue, we knew it would be the right choice for us! Connie and Barry put so much heart into the venue and go above and beyond for their couples. I chose vendors that came recommended by Connie, and every one of them was outstanding. The inspiration and style I wanted for our wedding was elegant and timeless. I chose white flowers with greenery and added gold accents to keep it simple but elegant. Our caterer incorporated Cajun-inspired appetizers to give a little Louisiana flair to the day as well. The Pearl is such a stunning venue that I was mainly looking to utilize all the things I already loved about it! The new chapel is so beautiful that even up to the morning of the wedding, I was torn between wanting to hold the ceremony in there or keep it outdoors like we originally planned. Ultimately, we chose to have the ceremony outside, but I was able to have a special moment with my father as a “first look” in the chapel before the wedding began. It was the wedding of my dreams, and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out! It was a beautiful day from beginning to end, and we couldn’t be more thankful!
