Firstly, congratulations must go to Chris Brazier and Jason P, who retained the men's pairs trophy in the recent champion of champions tournament.
In the South Alicante summer trips league, in which both of our teams play in the top division, it wasn't the best of days last Monday.
Lancasters were at home to Emerald Isles Vulcans, and although they only won on 2 rinks, an 84-84 shots count, made the scoreline a respectable 5-7.
Well done - C Bowles, D Gould, A Reid 18-8. S Johnston, D Collings, A Johnston 25-8. Blenheims were at San Luis, where only the rink of G Kershaw, P & B Rees won, as they went down 2-10.
Fast forward to Wednesday, and in VCL div 1, Lions conquered Emerald Isles Dukes 8-4 at home.
T Morgan won his men's singles 21-4, A Bowen & Jason P won pairs 18-14, plus the rinks team of B Elliott, C Dye, C & K Lowry won 26-11.
Over at Country Bowls, Tigers lost 4-8 against Foxes, in their div 2 fixture. Only the men's & ladies singles of A Reid (2116) and I Everett (21-10) were victorious.
