LA MARINA GOLF SOCIETY

This week the members of the La Marina Golf Society met at El Plantio golf course to compete in the Roger and Colin Memorial Cup. The course was much improved, and the greens were in excellent condition, the weather was warm and breezy which made for a great day all round.

The society also welcomed 4 new members, Anita, Mark, Robyn and Gordon to today’s game.

Roger Honey and Colin Yarnton were beloved members and great supporters of the Society and are dearly missed, we were delighted to have Eileen Honey attend the presentation and hand out the prizes to the winners.

In third place on countback was Alistair Quin with 38 points, and one of our new members Mark Stokes took second place also with 38 points.

The winner with 39 points, therefore, winning the Memorial Cup was Tony Ollier.

Today’s nearest pin winners were Gordon McLagan for holes 7 & 14. Dave Sligham for hole 9 and Sarah McCabe for hole 18.

Well done to all of today’s winners. The two’s pot will be rolled over to the next game
