he company was founded over two decades ago in Georgetown Guyana, when the founder, Mark Dalgety, identified the European Herbal Tea market was manufacturing artificial based Herbal Teas. He decided to offer European consumers 100% natural, strong-flavoured herbal teas. Dalgety Teas has developed a long way from then. In the UK Dalgety Teas can be found in the top 3 supermarket chains Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda and in over 5,000 independent ethnic retail stores. The company exports to numerous countries across Europe and has now even developed markets in South Korea and China. New market development includes its' own distribution in Ghana, Nigeria and other parts of West Africa, the USA and emerging distribution into South Africa. Sticking passionately to its' core activity of product research and development Mr Dalgety, who has a degree in chemical engineering and is known as "the Master Tea Blender" has developed over 30 varieties of teas to date.
