ALBERT TOWN ATCA

All Albert Town residents are warmly invited to the Annual General Meeting of the Albert Town Community Association.

The meeting is an opportunity to hear what your committee has achieved in 2024 and hear suggestions from residents for projects for 2025. The election of the committee for 2025 is held at the meeting and this is also your opportunity to be a member of a committed team making Albert Town an even better place to live. The draft updated Constitution which meets the new legal criteria will also be ratified at this meeting. The draft Constitution is on our website plus proxy forms for those who cannot attend the AGM but wish to vote on matters raised at the AGM. Some of 2024's projects included, enhancing the lagoon reserves and community orchards, placement of historic plaques and organising the hugely popular Christmas Party in the Park event. We undertake predator trapping in the lagoons to protect the birdlife in these areas. A new

defibrillator has been purchased and installed outside the Four Square store and we continue to work with QLDC on the installation of a bus shelter for Mt Aspiring College students in Alison Avenue. A very ugly telco box has been enhanced with art work which depicts aspects of nature in the lagoon. ATCA work with QLDC to make the roads safer for residents generally. We are working on enhancing road verges as well. We continue to push for a community building in association with QLDC and Riverside pool committee.
