Takaro means ‘play’ in Te Reo and there are plenty of events during the week to do just this. The Rainbow Run is one such event. This takes place on Friday, 15 March, 6.00pm at Eely Point. The 5km fun run is a cool way to raise money for Sporting Chance, a fund to help young people into sport.
Other o erings range from morning and evening speaker events, E bike event, introduction into biathlon, pickleball, petanque, lake swimming, skateboarding, karate, the list goes on.

As of 29 February 2024, our Honda dealership regrets to inform our valued customers of its termination (Honda has decided to appoint a new partner in Queenstown). Unfortunately, the decision was beyond our control and will disrupt the servicing of your vehicles impacting the important relationship we have built with you over the past three years.
Despite efforts to challenge Honda’s decision, Honda has insisted on a course of action that, in our view, does not share the value we have placed on our relationship with you. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and assure you of our commitment to assist you during this transition. We will actively facilitate the smooth transfer of service records and provide you with guidance on alternative service options going forward.
We wish to extend our deepest gratitude for your loyalty and trust over the past three years. Though we will cease to be your designated dealership for your Honda vehicle, our team at Wanaka Powersports remains ready to assist you with any powersports requirements.
Our dedication to integrity, honesty, and respect endures and we are disappointed with the decision that Honda has made without reference to us. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your automotive journey.
