This week a vehicle drove over the bank at a Back Packers and onto Lakeside Road. Luckily there were no injuries; the driver mistook the accelerator for the brake.

Urinating in a shop doorway saw a local man arrested on Saturday night. He was surprised about that. This is not what the public should have to put up with when they are out having a beer.

Police attended two crashes on Saturday. The first, a single car no-injury crash, was about 3km north of Boundary Creek Makarora. Then another single car non-injury crash happened near the top of the Crown Range and saw Ambulance, Fire, Vehicle recovery personnel and Police doing some large miles. The grit on the Crown Range is slippery, just like ice. Please drive to the conditions.

A middle aged man who was chased and caught on foot by Police on Sunday morning, has been warned for possession of cannabis.

It was lovely to see a good turnout at the Night and Day store for a cleansing by Paul Tamati, on behalf of the Vincent family. Our team of Police are working well on this case.
