MY COMMUNITY NEWS Wanaka St John receives a new Lifepak! Wanaka St John were the fortunate recipients of the proceeds of the Hirepool Charity Golf Tournament held by the Wanaka Golf Club in March. The funds were used to buy a Lifepak for the Landcruiser ambulance used during the ski season. The Lifepak arrived a few days ago. Oh hand to celebrate its arrival were Dell Taylor and Stephen Hayes from the Wanaka St John and Barry Mowatt and Wyndham Barkman from the Wanaka Golf Club. Wyndham Barkham also does double duty as a St John volunteer as well!

Wanaka St John already has two Lifepaks for their two frontline ambulances but needed an additional one for the Landcruiser used in winter. We had a report of someone sleeping in the public toilets for a number of nights this week, locking themselves in there and doing their dishes etc in the basin. I understand the cubicle was a mess. Other than that and a few other matters that are non disclosable, it has been a pretty good week. For those few I told off for silly antics over the weekend remember to ‘Follow your heart but take your brain with you...’ You might think you are funny but it might actually be just a bit dumb.
