David in full regalia & Edna in concert finery were in town to rehearse for his

upcoming concert on the 7th of February at the Presbyterian Church. David in true operatic style, comandeered the jetty, with arms wide, in full voice. The waters rose, the clouds cleared, the gulls soared, and the public gathered round. It was a special moment!

Also on the 24th, I attended an incident on the Luggate-Tarras Road (SH 8A) where a cyclist was clipped by a passing white house bus and was thrown from her bike. I would like to hear from the driver of the house bus. The cyclist was fortunate she was not seriously injured.

On 25th a Christchurch driver was suspended from driving due to excessive demerit points. A short time later that male stole petrol from a local service station before driving off. He will be located sooner than later and his car impounded.

In the early hours of 25th, a male was airlifted from near Meadow Hut close to the Snow Farm with serious injuries after a fall, down a 40m cliff. Thanks to Ambulance staff, he is now recovering in Dunedin with nasty internal injuries.
