To say that we love this font would be an understatement – we are head over heels for it! This romantic and poetic handwritten font feels exactly like something you would see on vintage postcards, and reminds us of an old-fashioned travel journal. Use it as a title font or for a quote, or pair it with serif fonts for a more stylish look. It will look elegant in plain black or even foil stamping.

ere in the tropical surrounds of the Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson, the combination of mixed blooms and
vibrant greens helped to create a casual and fun atmosphere for this styled shoot. The floral arrangements carried through to the reception, where they were reused as part of the tablescape alongside a green table garland and bright orange runner. Of course, no beach wedding is complete without refreshing, chilled tropical drinks for the guests, as well as a cocktail bar that’s guaranteed to keep the party going. Add to all that a beautiful sunset, and you’ve got yourself a perfect venue for the biggest day of your life.

ew luxury resort The St. Regis Langkawi is the perfect destination wedding venue. Here is a beautiful styled shoot by
Tie The Knot that completely transformed the stunning Kayu Puti Speciality Restaurant. We love these photos that were captured by Inlight Photos. A minimalist, elegant look was all that was needed to style this gorgeous space. Lots of greenery and touches of white Phalaenopsis and Hydrangeas filled glass cylinder vases of different heights, while the hints of blue from the plates and patterned runner helped to create a refreshing, Mediterranean bohemian vibe. The beautiful white calligraphy menus were the final touch, bringing everything together so perfectly. This easy to achieve look is exactly what you need for a stress free destination wedding.

re-dinner cocktails on the iconic The Float at The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa is a chic way to kick-start your
fun and chill celebration. Follow that up with a romantic candlelight dinner overlooking the ocean, and you have yourself the perfect destination wedding. Tie The Knot styled this elegant yet relaxed look that your guests are sure to enjoy, and we especially love the touches of glitter. To keep things fun, get the florist to add pops of colour instead of sticking with the basic white and blush tones. Many thanks to Inlight Photos for these beautiful shots.

rustic glamour A pale pink colour palette was the perfect complement to the rustic wooden finish of this Tuscan villa, set against sprawling hills and the beautiful countryside. The bride even opted for a blush wedding dress instead of white. The warm tones of taupe, pale pink and lush green were equal parts romantic and glamorous. Nadia: “We bought art from Etsy to DIY our own wedding logo, invitations and dinner menu, and kept the ceremony decorations simple because the Tuscan landscape was already supremely beautiful.

CEREMONY In front of just 30 of their closest friends and family, Chester and Nadia tied the knot. With the beautiful Tuscan countryside as a backdrop, the couple kept the decorations for their ceremony simple, as nothing else could really best the beauty of Mother Nature. “We had a wine box ceremony before we exchanged our vows, where we put letters that we had written to each other and a 2007 bottle of wine (the year that we met) in a box and sealed it,” revealed Nadia. “The box will be opened on our 5th wedding anniversary.”

Podere Rombolino Val d’Orcia, Tuscany Set on a hilltop overlooking the vast Tuscan countryside, Podere Rombolino was a picture perfect spot for the lovebirds to exchange their vows. “I’ve always dreamt of having an intimate wedding on grassland, which we can hardly find in Hong Kong. When I went through wedding blogs, I fell in love with Tuscany. We found the Villa Rombolino online, and were attracted to its stunning panoramic view. We didn’t get to visit the villa before the wedding, but my wedding planner did a site visit and took pictures for me. The villa was so beautiful that everything was beyond my imagination,” said Nadia.

For the flowers, I chose ivory and soft hues of blush, peach and yellow, and displayed them in gold vessels of different shapes and sizes. The overall feel of the wedding was elegant, natural and romantic, said Danica. We love how the bridesmaids wore tulle skirts in different shades of blush pink. CEREMONY Hawaii is already naturally stunning; taken together with the elegant European glamour of the Haiku Mill’s thick stonewalls and sculptures, it was the most beautiful setting indeed for this intimate wedding ceremony. The newlyweds were all smiles – the bride and her bridesmaids looked resplendent dressed in soft natural colours, while the groom and his groomsmen were absolutely dapper in their suits. Framed by ferns, flowers and lots of greenery, the couple said ‘I do’ standing on stone steps and in front of their loved ones.

With its unmatched beauty and elegance, unique past, and lush, tropical location, Haiku Mill is unlike anything you’ve ever seen or experienced before. Located on Maui’s North Shore, off the famous Road to Hana, it is a blend of European old world elegance and the stunning natural beauty of Hawaii.”

green + earthy Keeping the colours neutral and understated turned out to be the best choice these newlyweds made, as their ceremony location was already glorious enough in its natural, undisturbed state. With details that looked like they had been taken from the forest itself, Hannah and Joshua’s wedding celebration showcased the most important thing of all – the celebration of their union in front of their nearest and dearest. Hannah: “We wanted the natural wild greens (and monkeys) to shine through, so we kept the flowers wild to blend in with nature, and went barefooted of course. Getting dirty was part of the raw experience and look. I like dark mysterious flowers, so the colours were really subtle, shades of greens, whites, burgundy and some pinks.”

CEREMONY The ceremony venue was ethereal as it was literally one of the waterfall sites at Kanching Falls. Whilst guests stood at the bridge overlooking the fourth waterfall where Joshua and his groomsmen awaited, Hannah and her forest nymphs a.k.a. her bridesmaids hiked barefoot up to the ceremony site. For the bridal party and the guests, comfort and being at one with nature was definitely key to the whole event. The newlyweds were also blessed with perfect weather for the ceremony as the sun was shining and there was a slight breeze to chase off the forest humidity. Talk about everything falling into place at exactly the right time.
VENUE
Templer Park, Rawang Seeing as Hannah and Joshua were both nature lovers, it was only natural that an outdoor ceremony would be the way to go. Ditching the idea of having an overseas destination wedding, they looked around the Klang Valley, which in actual fact has ample gorgeous outdoor locations. They decided on Kanching Falls as it wasn’t too far away from the city, and the easy hike wouldn’t be too much hassle for their guests. Any other couple would’ve been deterred, but Hannah and Joshua persevered on with finding ways to hire the location, and as these images proved, it was worth it.

RECEPTION For their intimate lunch reception of 100 guests, Hannah and Joshua did away with the conventional wedding cake and opted for tasty Indian food and lots of alcohol instead. From the speeches that brought about both laughter and tears of joy, and catching up with all their friends, to the couple’s first dance in the rain (which serendipitously only started when everyone was safely under the canopy), this truly was an unforgettable celebration. Said Hannah: “Ultimately, we wanted everyone to let their guard down. Be vulnerable and party!”

ramatic landscapes and picturesque scenery are found throughout Norway. Oslo, located in the southern part of Norway, and Tromsø, which is at the northern part, boast
some of the most visually impressive coastal landscapes in the world, and Norway is also home to the Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights. Here, Juvenco of Sheerss Photography shares with us glimpses of this beautiful country through this stunning set of bridal portraits. We especially love the photo of the reindeer against the snowy backdrop! How long did you take to travel to the location? Norway is a very accessible country. It’s around a 15-hour flight from Singapore to Oslo (capital city of Norway) including transit. Was it hard to prepare for the photoshoot? Were there any obstacles or difficulties you faced and how did you solve it? The temperature was very cold so even though it wasn’t really hard to prepare for the photoshoot, we definitely had to watch out for the weather. How did you prepare for this photoshoot? We prepared for it like any other shoot, researched the weather, and created an inspiration board to help with fashion styling. We also made an itinerary to make sure that Benny and Cindy enjoyed the trip hassle free. The entire photoshoot lasted three days. Do you have any tips for couples who might be interested in attempting this? Bring lots of heat packs and trust the aurora forecast if you are hoping to catch it. Lastly, have fun!

I travel to a lot of destinations to shoot, and since I enjoy it a lot, I consider it a hobby more than work. Aside from this, I like being a dad to my three wonderful kids, spend a lot of time taking care of my body, and I’m into grooming and men’s fashion as well. Just like how my photography started out as a hobby many years ago, I have now established a set of grooming related brands in the Philippines. You have done plenty of destination bridal portraits.
