Dancing Under The Lights WEDDING DATE: July 4th, 2021 CEREMONY LOCATION: Dundee Country Club (♥) (www.golfnorth.ca/dundee), New Dundee, ON PHOTOGRAPHY: Kingdom Photography (www.kingdomphotography.ca) Kitchener, ON "One of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding was hiring Miri from Kingdom Photography! When looking through her photos/blogs from her website and Instagram, I immediately loved her style and editing. She takes such authentic photos that left us full of emotions! They were so powerful, I cried and laughed looking back on so many of them. She did such a great job of capturing the essence of us and our families! I honestly loved everything about our photos, which is a testament to how incredible she is!" - J GUEST #: 50 COLOUR PALETTE: Dusty blue "I loved the softness and freshness of the colour and I knew we had to incorporate it in the overall theme! The dusty blue bridesmaid dresses complimented the girls really well. We also incorporated some nigella and delphinium flowers to bring out the blue in our bouquets in addition to the whites and greenery. I even wore dusty blue heels as my 'something blue'." - J BRIDE ATTIRE: Lidia's Brides (www.lidiasbrides.com) Fergus, ON GROOM + GROOMSMEN ATTIRE: Moores Clothing for Men (♥) (www.moores.com) Kitchener, ON BRIDESMAID ATTIRE: DC Dress (www.etsy.com/ca/shop/DCdress) New York, USA FLORAL: A Petal or Two (www.apetalortwo.ca) Guelph, ON CAKE: Chelsea May Bakes (@chelsea.may.bakes) Cambridge, ON HAIR & MAKEUP: KW Mobile Hair and Makeup (www.kwmobilemakeupandhair.ca) Kitchener, ON TELL US YOUR STORY: "Our story begins 8 years ago when I walked into an interview for my first job at Shoppers Drug Mart. I noticed this young, handsome man and thought to myself that if I get this job, I am going to date this guy. It was literally love at first sight (for me, anyways!). The manager at the time even jokingly told Jay that she hired a blonde for him! Sure enough, after a bit of encouragement from his coworker, he asked me out and we began dating! We've been together through many challenges, including major health issues and dating long distance for several years during university. Through it all, we have supported each other and have continued to grow closer together. Last summer, Jay got his photographer friend, Brandon Taylor, to tell me that I won a contest for a free photoshoot with him. I was so excited, but a little disappointed that we wouldn't be engaged for the photos. Nevertheless, we began shooting and at one point, I turned around and Jay was on one knee proposing! It was the best surprise ever and I was thankful to have it all captured! We then began planning our wedding during a global pandemic, which was not fun or easy! We decided to legally get married on our original wedding date in May, but due to restrictions we were only allowed 10 people. I didn't want to go through the whole traditional wedding without all of our family and friends, so we just did a small, intimate ceremony by the river and then rescheduled a larger ceremony with our family in July. We were able to gather outdoors for the ceremony at Dundee Country Club - which was absolutely stunning - and then have our reception in the backyard of our new home! I am so thankful for both of our weddings, as they were perfect and unique in their own way! I wouldn't change it if I could.” – J •
