Delays & Back Taxes Anger Residents By John Gabriel - Award winning writer

Hanson Material Service continues to press for the expansion of its quarry operations in Romeoville. In the meantime, Village Manager Steve Gulden insists the issue is dead as far as the 80 acre site is concerned. The Mayor, on the other hand, seems willing to allow some manner of operations to begin on the southwest corner of Illinois Route 53 and Taylor Road on an 18 acre site of land that is also owned by Hanson Material Service. No explanation has been offered as to the nature of what Hanson wishes to do there. In the meantime, a press release from the Mayor announcing his position of the 80 acres known as the Spangler property has been received suspiciously by those who opposed any expansion by Hanson whatever. One citizen among the many objectors has stepped forward to speak out. Although the meeting with the Building and Zoning Board was cancelled on Tuesday Feb. 14th Tomasz Suliga showed up for the regular Trustees meeting on Wednesday the 15th. Mr. Suliga stepped to the podium and made his presence known but withheld any argument. He is waiting for the Building and Zoning meeting which is now tentatively going to be scheduled for a new date in March. Many residents are showing discontent with the Mayor for failing to insist that Hanson Material Service pay its back taxes, which exceed $500,000, before any new discussions concerning its business operations in Romeoville. Hanson has suggested it be given a five-year period in which to make installment payments on the delinquent taxes it owes. Hanson alleges it should be given the grace period because it did not receive tax bills for the delinquency. Residents are not satisfied with that argument. Some have protested that they get no grace periods on water bills or property taxes on terms they set. Some homeowners say there will be a new administration from top to bottom should Hanson be allowed to avoid an immediate payment of the taxes in full or if they are permitted to do any expanding at all.

THIS IS UN-AMERICAN! CONSERVATIVES PLEDGE THEY WILL NOT PUT PEOPLE TO WORK By: Mark Goodson

http://youtu.be/gqvrMbRnOwE

SABATEUR? TERRORIST? PUBLIC ENEMY? Most voters, Republicans and Democrats, are aware of how radical the Tea Party Nation is. Few would have suspected they would intentionally do something to do terrible harm to our country. Almost daily we hear of terrorists with extreme Islamic views now there is a new type terrorist, one bred on our own soil that is attempting to find support among businesses to destroy the American economy and to halt America’s economic recovery; to keep Americans out of work. If you are a person or family who relies upon a job for an income you ought to be outraged when you hear this message from these radical conservatives who are willing to destroy the United States. Anything goes to impose their twisted beliefs on the masses.

It is amazing the Justice Department has not begun to investigate this very stupid woman, a Tea Party Nation activist, for treason. She is actively engaging in an effort to sabotage the American economy by organizing an effort to create more unemployment in America. During World War Two we had Nazi saboteurs and the FBI hunted them down, now we are seeing a new breed of saboteur born and bred in the United States of America. It is unimaginable that any patriotic American would dare to cast a vote for anyone who believes in putting working Americans out of work or in keeping the unemployed from finding work. Yet, here she is a Republican activist asking small business owners to sign a pledge that they will not hire any new employees, that they will keep people out of work.

Bill Foster Calls on FBI HUNTS DYER Judy Biggert to Sell BANK ROBBER TransCanada Stock The FBI is searching for a man suspected of robbing the Naperville, IL – Amid growing concern about the conflicts members of Congress may have between their official duties and their personal portfolios, Bill Foster called on Congresswoman Judy Biggert to sell her stock in TransCanada. In December, Crain’s Chicago Business reported that Congresswoman Biggert owned an interest in TransCanada, the company responsible for the pending Keystone XL pipeline. After her repeated public statements in support of the pipeline – statements that did not mention her financial interests in TransCanada – Bill Foster has called on Congresswoman Biggert to take action to end her conflict of interest immediately. "It is a conflict of interest, and a breach of public trust, for members of Congress to be buying, selling, or even holding individual stocks that are being influenced by congressional actions," said Bill Foster. “Congresswoman Biggert should divest herself of the TransCanada stock she owns – or at minimum recuse herself from votes and public statements about stocks that she has a financial interest in."

JACKSON SUPPORTER SEES DEMONS AT WORK AGAINST THE TROUBLED CONGRESSMAN In a press release on Tuesday February 21, 2012 former Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson revealed that “Yesterday, a minister in Congressman Jackson’s camp claimed that 'political demonic forces' were driving our campaign. And, the Congressman and his campaign stood by and refused to denounce these remarks at their press conference. Desperate politicians do desperate things to save their own jobs. And right now, Congressman Jackson

is desperately trying to save his job. After 17 years of putting himself before the people and failing to deliver, the people want change. It’s time to elect someone who is going to fight for the people -- someone who is going to put the people of this district above themselves. And, I have the track record of doing just that.” Desperate people resort to desperate tactics and introducing some spiritual voodoo into a political campaign sounds more like someone grasping for straws than as sincere candidate interested in the issues at hand. To suggest that evil spirits are at work to defeat Jesse Jackson Jr. is anything but rational and sounds more like something that might take place in some remote area of Haiti than on the Southside of Chicago. If Halvorson defeats Jackson in the primary perhaps his camp will claim the Devil stuffed the ballot box.

Democrat Candidate Criticizes President Obama Jim Hickey candidate for the 11th Congressional District Saturday said he supports the call from Bishop Daniel Conlon of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Joliet in denouncing the Obama administration’s requirement to include contraception in employees' health benefits. Hickey said Catholics and everyone of religious faith should be permitted to practice their religion freely without imposition from the Federal Government. “As a Catholic myself, I abide by the Laws of the Land but I also recognize that there is also a separation of Church and State,” Hickey said. “I think it is inappropriate for President Obama to impose additional restrictions on individuals that may contradict their religious beliefs. Forcing Catholics to offer

contraceptions in their health benefits violates the beliefs of many Catholics.” Hickey said he is pro-Life but he said he believes abortions should only be appropriate in instances involving the life of the mother or in cases of rape or incest. Bishop Conlon in his statement this week said that he recognizes that many Catholics disagree with the Catholic Church’s longstanding teachings and direction on artificial contraception, on elective sterilization and on abortion. But the Bishop said that the President’s directive breaches the sanctity of the long respected separatation of Church and State. Hickey said that he supports Conlon’s letter to Obama and joins in urging Catholic Churches to distribute the letter to parishioners this week. The new federal rule passed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services mandates that starting next year, religious health care, educational and charity institutions that employ and serve non-Catholics must pay for "all FDA-approved forms of contraception" for their employees, even if they have moral objections to doing so.

The Strange Strange World of Quantaum Physics By John Gabriel

Award Winning Writer

Since Quantum mechanics gained a foothold in the late 19th century scientists have worked to unravel the mysteries that surround this strange realm of science. More and more support is being developed for the Quantum Theory but the more we learn about the tiniest of all scientific worlds the more baffling it becomes. Quantum theory really turns much of what we know upside down and opens the door to events that are even stranger than sciencefiction. Imagine a universe in which you might be living a number of lives simultaneously as the same person you are; each with a different set of consequences for choices that confront you. It is truly incredible but more and more of the this new chapter in science is unfolding before our very eyes and men such as renowned scientist Michio Kaku. Dr. Kaku is not some radical with implausible ideas, no, he is an

carefully to his words you will quickly realize that he does not leap without looking and he does not make farfetched claims, although, some of the ideas that develop under the quantum theory certainly seem simply ludicrous. Under the Quantum Theory space travel is a snap, time and distance no longer make trips to distant planets or even faraway galaxies impossible. Other worlds can exist side by side without one being aware that the other exists. Its sounds even too incredible for a science fiction novel but many scientists accept these ideas as a scientific norm, not to be ridiculed but rather to be scrupulously examined. Billions of dollars are being spent to forge ahead into the most secretive corners of science. Scientists in France are working to find the very smallest particle sometimes referred to as the God Particle because it would be, according to scientific beliefs, the smallest of the small. The particle has been named the Higgs Boson particle. European scientists (European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) are anxious as the Large Hadron Collider's (LHC) is in search of the unconfirmed existence of the Hibbs Boson particle. A very thorough account can be found on Discovery News. Scientists are hoping the discovery of the elusive particle will help them determine conditions at the time of the theoretical Big Bang.

Ten tips to manage your money through unexpected life

F

(ARA) - One of the many benefits of marriage is having a partner to share in the day-to-day tasks. One person might handle the laundry while the other takes over yard work. But, when it comes to money management, while you may end up delegating most of the responsibility to one person, it's in every couple's best interest to be mutually involved in the family finances. Life is full of uncertainty and change, and it's possible, even likely, that you will be responsible for your own finances at some point. For many, the financial impact of significant life changes, from the good, like marriage and children, to the not-so-good, like death and divorce, is often a costly afterthought. While divorce and death are difficult possibilities to accept or anticipate, they are changes that come with many financial implications. This holds especially true for women who typically outlive their male counterparts. According to the National Association of State Treasurers Foundation, 90 percent of women will be solely responsible for their finances at some point in their lives. However, despite the likelihood of eventually living this new financial reality, less than half of women (45 percent) and men (41 percent) have a contingency plan in place should something happen, according to research by TD Ameritrade, Inc. "It's not always the easiest conversation to discuss with your partner because it forces you to think about worstcase scenarios," says Lee McAdoo, director of Women's Initiatives at TD Ameritrade. "But you'll find that discussing your family finances and setting goals together can also give you peace of mind." Life transitions are often times unexpected and highly emotional, which can make decision making more difficult. For those reasons, it's best to plan ahead. Here are 10 suggestions to help you make sure you can effectively handle your personal and family finances:

1. Create a detailed household budget. 2. Compile all your financial documents, make copies and store them with your attorney or place them in a safe deposit box that you both can access. 3. Conduct an inventory of marital assets. 4. Determine medical expenses and other annual costs for your family such as activities fees for your children and gym memberships. 5. Review all your debt, including mortgages, student loans, car loans and credit cards. Obtain a current version of your credit report at least once a year. 6. Make sure each person is aware of how you file your tax returns and your tax filing status. 7. Discuss long-term savings plans and goals, including retirement and college savings plans. 8. Review beneficiary designations in your will and update if necessary. 9. Consider employee benefits for each person. 10. It can be helpful to have an attorney or financial adviser review financial documents and give you advice should you desire it. TD Ameritrade has also launched a website dedicated to helping you navigate your finances during major life changes. More helpful tips and advice can be found at www.tdameritrade.com/life. While involving yourself more in your finances means taking on extra responsibility, it can also help you feel empowered and set your mind at ease as you look to the future.

In order to meet the needs of this increasingly complex health care system, industry leaders, such as the Institute of Medicine (IOM), recommend an increase in the proportion of nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from

Some schools of nursing offer specialized nursing degree

programs that help meet this call to action. Chamberlain College of Nursing, for example, offers an online degree completion option that allows RNs to earn their BSN in as few as three semesters - as opposed to traditional three- or four-year nursing programs - without altering their current work schedule. With the flexibility of online learning, completing a BSN degree is an attractive investment for RNs.

50 percent to 80 percent by 2020. With these additional skills, registered nurses (RNs) will be prepared to deliver highquality patient care and, as the IOM recommends, become partners with physicians and other health care professionals in redesigning health care in the United States.

"Nurses who hold a bachelor's degree have additional training in leadership, health policy, research, teamwork, collaboration and other skills that are integral to the successful function of many health care roles," says Dr. Margi Wheeler, a registered nurse and dean of the RN-BSN online degree option at Chamberlain College of Nursing. "That type of advanced education positions nurses as more viable job candidates for managerial roles such as nursing director, clinical nurse manager or nurse practitioner, for example." RNs who earn their BSN degree can be qualified for nursing positions in private practices, hospitals, surgical centers and nursing homes and have greater upward mobility, whether they aspire to enter management, training, director or facilitator positions. RN-BSN graduates are also one step closer to master's degree status, which can open doors to higher levels of health care leadership. "Nurses can and should play an integral role in the health care system's transformation," says Wheeler. "Working together and encouraging each other to pursue advanced degrees, we can help to provide safer care that is accessible to all and leads to a healthier population." Nurses are being called upon to fill new roles in the health care setting. From harnessing new technologies and information management systems to collaborating across teams of health care professionals, nurses are expanding their presence and the traditional definition of the profession. To continue to advance the role of the nurse and meet the needs of an evolving industry, nurses must achieve higher levels of education that allow them to elevate the profession and to better serve patient needs nationwide.

New faith-based awareness program promotes bone health among African Americans, Community disproportionately affected by multiple myeloma (ARA) - Each year, as the winter months approach, people begin to think of ways to protect themselves against slips and falls due to inclement weather conditions. For the elderly, and more specifically, African Americans with multiple myeloma, this should be a year-round concern in an effort to maintain their bone health. Multiple myeloma is a cancer of the plasma cells, a type of white blood cell found in the bone marrow and can lead to bone problems including pain, fractures and spinal cord compression. Nearly 95 percent of patients with advancedstage multiple myeloma will experience disease spreading to their bones. Though not widely known, multiple myeloma is the second most common blood cancer among people living in the U.S., affecting 70,000 Americans, and impacting African Americans more than twice as often as Caucasians. To address this significant health issue within the African American community, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation ("Novartis") is partnering with the National Black Church Initiative (NBCI) on "To Stay in the Game, Maintain Your Frame," an educational program to increase awareness about multiple myeloma and promote bone health particularly among those at highest risk - African American men ages 60 and older. "The NBCI is dedicated to addressing health issues that are prominent within the African American community and

providing critical wellness information that will benefit our members, congregations, churches and the public," says Reverend Anthony Evans, president of the NBCI. "We are excited to be working with Novartis to educate this at-risk population and encourage healthy living habits and provide them with the tools to successfully manage their health." "To Stay in the Game, Maintain Your Frame" is made up of elements intended to educate African Americans with multiple myeloma about the need for doctor-patient dialogue about their condition and how to become active participants in their health. Patient education materials and tips for better bone health are provided through the NBCI's coalition of 34,000 churches spanning 15 denominations and representing 15.7 million African Americans in the U.S. Also featured in the program are instructional video clips demonstrating how to perform activities of daily living that may help reduce the risk of falls and other skeletal injuries. Ranging from indoor to outdoor activities, the video clips feature Dr. Doris Browne, an oncologist, and a patient demonstrating tips to safely perform everyday routines and benefit overall health and well-being. A Little Love Guest writer: Herman Weider Jesus did not hate; he was merciful, forgiving, compassionate and loving. He urged his followers to feed the hungry, aid the sick, and to visit those in prison. Yet today Christians are often led astray by nonbelievers who impose hateful laws and secular ideologies upon them. In short order Christians too often find themselves professing their faith while practicing secular hatred. As Christians our first and most important duty is to serve God. That put simply means to live our lives emulating Jesus Christ. Since God is all love we must learn to love not hate. We must learn to be compassionate not indifferent. We must be merciful not filled with vengeance. Christians need to be alert to the traps laid for them by Satan. There is a Satan, a Devil, and he is hard at work sowing his seeds of hatred and destruction across the earth. He is making people hate, deny food, and medicine to other human beings because to show them compassion will cost them dollars. The dollars are their god; Jesus taught us love and compassion. You cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24. Have you ever wondered why Jesus said: “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”Matthew 19:24. Many otherwise good people who claim to be “born again” are permitting themselves to be led by liars, power mongers, and haters. They are willing to hold the banner of hate high

They blindly follow the call of heathens, hypocrites, and satanists who insist that only their kind are entitled to rights, to entitlements, to reside where you reside. Get one thing clear – you cannot hate – you cannot deny food, shelter, compassion, or medical care to any living human being and still claim to be saved! Do those things and you must surely go to hell. How do we know that to be true? True Christians believe in Jesus and his teachings. If you believe in the word of God, if you do obey the teachings of Christ you cannot do the bidding of Satan. You cannot hate, you cannot inflict pain, you cannot be indifferent and you cannot deny food, shelter, of

medical attention to anyone who needs it. Do you supposed Jesus would deny food, care, or medicine to someone because they crossed border illegally? Stop listening to the non-believers who hate and serve Satan. Trust God and ask forgiveness. Put God first. Take a lesson from St. Paul who in his former sinful person was Saul who hated Christians. He hunted them down and jailed them. Do you recall the words Jesus spoke to him? “Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” Acts 9:4 Remember what you to do others you also do to Christ. He makes it clear in Matthew 25:40 and again in Matthew 25:45. Be merciful, be compassionate, and show love to all men. When in doubt ask yourself: What would Jesus do?
