“Actually, good health and nutrition as well as how to plant vegetables and take care of them are included in our curriculum. It so just happens that we can’t always plant because our school doesn’t have enough funds.”

21st Century Sk Criteria Areas for Growth S7-Creativity Creativity is the act of bringing something into existence that is genuinely new, original, and of value either personally (of significance only to the individual or organization) or culturally (adds significantly to a domain of culture as recognized by experts)

Make sure it’s understandable by target readers

Include illustrations to make it more engaging

Learning how to budget and track expenses for projects including a fundraising element. Since I won’t have TGS resources to finance my future service projects, I will need to figure out ways to raise money. In the future, I plan to build on new skills in this area of finance tracking.

I asked Chungman and my sister for feedback I put it through the Hemmingway editor and it said the reading level was Grade 2. My audience is Grade 5.

I helped my sister brainstorm colorful illustrations for my book

I want to continue writing short stories but for people in my age range. I enjoyed writing for children but I’m more interested in writing material that digs into contemporary issues, pieces that I think would best be appreciated by an older, more mature audience. The experiences I gained from writing this service story along with those that I learned through my GOA fiction writing course have motivated me to use writing more as a creative outlet.
