WAY TO

FREEDOM Erika Kodama

My name is Elijah Cheatham. I am an African, fighting for my freedom.

“Europeans have taken our lands and our freedom. They do not treat us as equal. All because of our skin colour.

...now I am here

We are here in Shapeville to protest against Apartheid regime!

I am tired of being arrested for no reason I am tired of seeing my father coming home worn out after 12 hours of work and still not having enough money

I am tired of knowing that my future isn't bright. I am tired of treated differently. Just because I am “BLACK

People in our times used categorise themselfs and others into groups.. “Blacks” “Europeans” and many others But there is no difference. In the end we all same and equal Humans... I am not angry nor sad. Because, I belive that my words were loud enough and were strong enough to reach in to peoples hearts. I belive that someday we will all come together as one and there will never be pain.

I belive for my nation. For Africa and for all...
