Rudy van Nieuwenhove

Rudy Van Nieuwenhove was born in September of 1962 in Kortrijk, Belgium. He showed his first signs of creative artistry at the age of nine, as a first year Academy student in Harelbeke. Due to high expectations in academia, Rudy’s artistic journey was delayed. Rudy later went to college, but was drawn to back to artistic training. Through his curriculum, Rudy rapidly consumed all knowledge and experienced as much as possible on the subject of painting, illustration and more, with an undying thirst. At only nineteen, he held his first solo exhibition. During this age, Rudy focused mostly on ink drawings and worked day and night. As a result, the exhibition was completely sold out and there was a tall list of orders. In the same year, 1981, Rudy worked with ‘New Gallery’ in Kortrijk along with other artists including the widely celebrated Karel Appel. Many works were sold there, and mainly to buyers in the Middle East. Due to this great success, Rudy was able to establish his own company in 1983. He held exhibitions in just about every town around Kortrijk. Rudy’s artwork evolved as he worked with oil, acrylic, and lacquer, always working away here and there, in a frenzy of wine, caffeine and sugar. Over many years, Rudy organized his exhibitions with the help of his wife Dorine Vanhie. In the last 10 years, he has become increasingly sought out in France, particularly by champagne houses. They commissioned him regularly to portray exclusive frescoed paintings of their homes for bottle labels and hangings. Thusly, Rudy attracted much attention and was given the opportunity to push himself to his limit. He was invited to exhibit his works and talents in America, The Netherlands, and Taipei. Unlocking possibilities, Rudy came to want to conquer the world, exploring not only the globe, but equally his artistic abilities; he

My teachers first spotted my talents in art, but my parents where more pragmatic and decided I should widen my studies, so later I Studied a Diploma in Advertising, PR and Marketing at High School. Priska Medam

ARTISTS

Priska Medam, born in Basel/ Switzerland, created a series of works involved in the magic cosmos of life. Reminiscent of nature, her work reflects the processes of forming, of growth and change, of becoming and of passing away. Graphic elements, shapes and colors create the relationship between background and foreground, silence and movement. Her inexhaustible source is human life. As a sensitive artist, she observes her environment then receives passion-filled new ideas. Colors and forms arise from her inner circle. Priska Medam is fascinated by art which engages people. Her works represent at once daydreams and apparent paradoxes. In the last 5 years Priska has taken part in, and hosted, many exhibitions at galleries and has displayed her work in Switzerland, Germany, France and the United States. In 2001 she commenced her studies as a painter and is now a curator for many events in Basel.

amphoras, houses, trees or cubic forms - become united in a single poetically disciplined image. The poetry of these images dispense with any symbolic significance, old or new. Each of these recurring themes can be interpreted differently and has significant meanings. His paintings titled “Dark Matter”, “A New World” or “Civilization” represent visible images which evoke a kind of mystery. Thomas Maes` constant play with reality and illusion can be attributed to his interest in history, science and culture. Since seven years, the Belgium artist is living and working at the Greece island of Crete, surrounded by the ancient Minoan civilization and archetypical, archeological find spots. In his artworks Maes is back and forth playing, zapping on and off with reality and illusion, reflecting his constant shifting back and forth perception during his mental time journey. Since many years Thomas Maes formed his own signature in a very clean, concise and exacting style. Email: Info@tmartfinearts.com Website: www.tmartfinearts.com

Gabriel Meiring

Since the 1980’s the demand for private exhibitions of his work increased tremendously. This in combination with many piano recitals became to much for him. For three years he retreated to Capri to perfect his knowledge of anatomy and technique. After returning a large amount the orders started pouring in. Thanks to long days of work he can carry out the numerous orders ever since.

are elegant figures of extraordinary grace and exotic creatures. Often shaped in gold and silver leaf and rich patterns. The subject of his ‘poetry’ is the emotional space and spiritual atmosphere of his own inner world. The artworks of Meiring evoke feelings of Art Nouveau or Vienna Secession of the early 20th century. With Gustav Klimt he shares the taste for elegant figures, complicated decorations and layers of dazzling patterns as well as the refined and sometimes erotic sensitivity. To accomplish these effects it’s necessary for the artist to have absolute control over his tools. The finish and refinement of Meirings work is perfect and every part of his artworks deserve the attention of the viewer. According to Meiring all the paintings have to be a joy to the senses as well as the spirit. To reach a larger public Gabriel released in 2006 a wonderfully illustrated monograph in English, because he also has many clients abroad and in the Middle - and Far East. The book received a double Sappi Award for best art book of Europe and the world. Email: info@gabrielmeiring.be Website: www.gabrielmeiring.be

Roderick Loyed

Roderick Lloyd, a Dutch artist, began his creative journey, in September of 2011, with a new kind of art: MORE THAN A PHOTO At first, he began taking photographs in special places all around the world. Upon arriving back home, he would use some of these photos and ‘paint’ with them on his computer. His style: visitors arrive in his fantasy and / or daily reality life world, colorful and special linings. Special: he created Mrs. Stairs shopping on Golden Boulevard. First he took a photo in Antwerp of the old beautiful wooden escalator. At home he made this unique art work. He makes art works, a one and only or in small series (29!) to hang up on walls or to make the very special RL-art-FLEX-tables. New: the art works can easily be changed in the RL-art-FLEX-tables. Take a look in his brochure and choose art works that match your interior.

Special invited guests will include art historians, professors, renowned critiques, famed architects, fashion designers and art-world markers and pioneers. We aim to please our sophisticated audiences by holding seminars with groups of these professionals and connoisseurs. In hosting this event, we are building a stage for lectures by specialists in art, design and architecture. This is necessary in order to remind the world of the importance that art has had in science, the advancement of technology, and other innovative cultural ties which have endorsed major societal developments. We would like to raise questions about advancement and changes in the art world; we would like to challenge our viewers and promote the expansion of knowledge and an appreciation for art and human creativity. We

wish to share our passion for art and culture; to make our world aware of its importance and power.

“This fair gives great oppotunities for a lot of good young artists. This project has already opened doors for all parties involved and has begun to create a wonderful platform for cultural education and enrichment, art sales, touristic attraction, charity support, social networking and so much more.
