Telling A You Set on the island of Bermuda in the 1960s, TELLING A YOU is an animated short film featuring the voices of Bermudian actors, Dimitri Philpott and Lexy Correia. The story captures the romantic 'meet-cute' of a man and a woman colliding at a street corner. While this may not appear noteworthy, his memory lovingly recalls every detail of the incident, thus turning a seemingly ordinary moment in time into an extraordinary moment in two people's lives. Cinematographically, there is the added experiment of the two-layered storytelling, voice and visuals, taking turns in delivering each instant of the narration before the other, ultimately concluding the story in sync. TELLING A YOU is a reminder of those small moments of fortune that enrich the lives of those embracing the unexpected, as well as a tribute to the courageous ones living life with an open heart. Written, directed and produced by Margarethe Baillou, TELLING A YOU is the filmmaker's personal hommage to Bermuda, celebrating the pastel colors, shapes and sounds of that tiny shrimp-shaped speck of land in the middle of the Atlantic where the beaches are pink, and time is stacked away in a treasure chest. 6

Kilometer 0, Life in the Shadow of Notre Dame Mourning the loss of my grandmother and mother figure and struggling with my failing marriage, like so many have done before me, I decided to travel to Paris’ Latin Quarter for inspiration and renewal. My grandmother, who as a young woman had lived and studied in France, had been the Secretary of Audio Visual Education of Mexico, and the Poet Laureate of the State of Cuahuila The Latin Quarter in Paris, is generally associated with artists, intellectuals, and a bohemian way of life. It retains the nostalgic charm of past ages, while still being an important hub of innovative ideas. Within my first few hours of arrival, I met Antonio Gout de Montellano, a writer, economist, and expat from Mexico City. Antonio’s assured guidance leads to fortuitous meetings with Michele Bruel, the nonagenarian proprietress of the 1 star Hotel Esmeralda; the enchanting Sanda Slag, a talented soprano, recording artist and author; the late George Whitman, and his daughter Sylvia Whitman, owners of the bookstore Shakespeare and Company, that has for decades provided a community to English-speaking expats and travelers; Bernard Heidsieck, French sound poet; Karen Moeller, award-winning designer and author; The Atelier Baschet pot-luck crew; as well as several other dynamic and engaging personalities. It is this community of dynamic people that encouraged me to pursue my dream and make Kilometre Zero. These chance meetings and ensuing relationships changed and enriched my life and through the process of capturing their narratives, I captured the alluring spirit of the left bank.

Princess Angelique Monét (A.Monét) A. Monét is an American multi-media talent whom utilizes her well-rounded background in performance and film to visually translate emotions, capturing them on canvas. Her mediums include graphite, charcoal, latex, oils and acrylics on canvas or paper, meant to cultivate an abstract expressionist sometimes surreal, style of rich colors and emotions. Having studied Latin at an early age, she translated the Iliad and the Odyssey, which enriched Monét's imagination, expanding her consciousness for spiritual development and artistic expression. At the age of fourteen, Monét created an original edition of "Fine Press Artist Book," showcasing poetry, art, and short stories with her interpretation of Homer, the Iliad, and the Odyssey. As an abstract expressionist, Monét combines figurative meaning to use the art as a vestibule, which engages the observer into a deep spiritually awakened state. Her latest collection of work is entitled, "Parallel Life-Parallel Universe: Making the Shift," captures images of various planes of existence and beings of unknown origin on canvas. Her works have been described by art curators as, "her transparent proposal through the canvas she basically exposes herself." Her latest art book showcases her latest collection of images combined with A. Monét's written philosophies of alternate realities.

Samuel de Lange Samuel de Lange, born 24-02-1986 in Groningen (The Netherlands).Samuel showed early artistic talents, motivated and stimulated by his parents Rob and Carla de Lange. His mother Carla van Zanten de Lange is founder and artistic director of the largest ballet school of the north (Ballet School La Danse) as well as successful choreographer. His dad Rob de Lange who successfully ran his own advertising agency Base-Line after his study on the Amsterdam Graphic School.Needless to say that at a young age Sam was far ahead with his knowledge about graphic design, commercial communication and graphic software. Sam gained 11 years of academic experience in all aspects of the graphic field.During his study years, his love for the art began to grow more and more and Sam used his 5 years of Art Academy to learn about diverse forms of art and experiment with all sorts of materials and media that was of his interest.Sam developed his illustrations with the title: “OneLiners” which are illustrations of facial expressions and emotions and are made out of one un-interrupted single line.During his last years of the Academy, Sam did a work experience time in Australia. Sam called this enormously inspirational period a ‘creative explosion’. He was involved with the development of a unique product (the Belkiz Feedaway, created and designed by Betul Madakbas who received several industry, design and sustain ability awards) where by a piece of flat cardboard folds into a functional travel high chair for toddlers. This inspired Sam to start the development of his own products. With one of these products (a surf board that is 100% bio-degradable), Sam graduated from Art Academy Minerva in 2010.After his study Sam kept designing and developing products. He paints at home in his shed and his work became more and bigger rapidly which led Sam to open his THE GOLD FACTORY in 2011. THE GOLD FACTORY is inspired on Andy Warhol’s THE SILVER FACTORY.“If Andy’s factory was silver, you can just imagine what the first prize is....GOLD!”.In THE GOLD FACTORY, where the walls are covered with gold foil, Sam finally has his space to create artwork in his favorite size: XL.The enormous rolls of canvas which are rolled out in THE GOLD FACTORY are just a part of his arts lab where he develops his style by experimenting. 17
Gabriel Meiring Gabriel Meiring was born in 1946 in Johannesburg (South-Africa). In 1968 he
moved to Belgium to complete his education as a concert pianist. Challenged by a friend, he started turning his focus also on painting. His success of his first exhibition in 1975 in Deurle (Belgium) convinced him to start concentrating on pencil drawings, lithography, painting in tempera, acrylic and even oil on silk – a delicate and unique technique. As diverse as Gabriel’s techniques, as different are his many ways of expression: besides painting large wooden wall panels, he also paints on porcelain and concert piano’s (Blüthner). He also designs leaded windows and nteriors for clients. This interior design integrates his panels in peaceful colors with a daring and warm color magnificence of the luxurious fabrics he chooses alongside. This way Gabriel magically turns a home into a tasteful palace.
Since the 1980’s the demand for private exhibitions of his work increased tremendously. This in combination with many piano recitals became to much for him. For three years he retreated to Capri to perfect his knowledge of anatomy and technique. After returning a large amount the orders started pouring in. Thanks to long days of work he can carry out the numerous orders ever since. 18
With his work he tries to accomplish a picturesque balance between color, imagination and a special technique, which is probably a heritage of his classical education. Or as a critic writes: “The artworks of Meiring suggest a musical movement even though they speak their own picturesque language”. Comparing his paintings to his music is nog just a means to comprehend the technique of his works. The paintings generate an emotional and spiritual stimulation which is to be compared with the blessed feeling one gets from listening to a well performed concert. The emotional timbre of his work is being developed by the use of mythological and symbolic theme’s. His style can be described as ‘Intimate Symbolism’, which portraits the emotional and spiritual content of his art. The meaning of this expression is bizarre, supernatural and unreal. Many types of art are being created and seem to be visual poetry in the development stage. The recurring designs he uses are elegant figures of extraordinary grace and exotic creatures. Often shaped in gold and silver leaf and rich patterns. The subject of his ‘poetry’ is the emotional space and spiritual atmosphere of his own inner world.
The artworks of Meiring evoke feelings of Art Nouveau or Vienna Secession of the early 20th century. With Gustav Klimt he shares the taste for elegant figures, complicated decorations and layers of dazzling patterns as well as the refined and sometimes erotic sensitivity. To accomplish these effects it’s necessary for the artist to have absolute control over his tools. The finish and refinement of Meirings work is perfect and every part of his artworks deserve the attention of the viewer. According to Meiring all the paintings have to be a joy to the senses as well as the spirit. To reach a larger public Gabriel released in 2006 a wonderfully illustrated monograph in English, because he also has many clients abroad and in the Middle - and Far East. The book received a double Sappi Award for best art book of Europe and the world. 19

Just the artworks on canvas titled “Free” and “Easy” invites the art lover to discuss about it. The Swiss artist Priska Medam looks full of joy in the future: "I`m pleased that the jury has chosen my work to show it at the Artisan Festival International in Cannes. So I feel a certain satisfaction that after so many years of hard work and passion, I come along with it step by step.” The curators Thomas Maes and Princess Angelique Monét decided for Priska’s work, because it fits perfectly to the World Peace Initiative to stimulate an open dialogue between artwork and visitor. Lucien Stilss Italian-Dutch artist Lucien Stilss has created a unique artistic universe characterized by dreamlike references, and a distinct mix of eroticism and spirituality. With a focus on the female body and its relationship with both the natural and spiritual planes, Stilss merges decidedly modern, recognizable portraits of celebrities and other notable personalities with a traditional Italian Renaissance approach and style. A hallmark of her art is a careful attention to detail combined with a freedom of execution that renders the painting more fantastical than figurative and adds a surrealistic element to the overall effect. Indeed, to Stilss,
“Every painting is a door, a door that allows us to go into a fantastic world.” Working primarily with oil on canvas as well as with other experimental techniques, Stilss strives in each piece to capture all the beauty there is to be found in the human form. To her, the human spirit is contained in human shapes, particularly the eyes. Colors are muted and much emphasis is placed on line and form, which draws attention to the figurative aspects of her portraits. In this way, Stilss is able to “represent people, looking for their innate divine beauty which comes from God.” But what perhaps is the most memorable aspect of Stilss’ paintings is the way that modern pop culture is juxtaposed so naturally against a backdrop filled with recognizable Renaissance themes, palettes, and forms. Background creatures seem to emerge from a dream world, with nymphs, angels, and mythological creatures populating the canvas. The effect is not jarring but rather poignant, infusing new layers of meaning into the tableau. Here, the viewer is invited to question what they know, to begin to find new relevance and interconnections between modern and antiquated modalities of expression. Info and contact at: www.lucydt.com

Nelo Born in Coimbria, Portugal in 1961, Nelo moved to France where he set up his workshop in the Loire Valley. Self taught, he diligently carried on his studies there and the works we see on show today are above all the result of his unyielding devotion to his art. He uses all manner of wood from cherry to oak and even sequoia to which he adds metal, somewhat provocatively, enlivening the range of his artistic expression. As for steel, he fashions it using different techniques such as Damask (Damascus steel). He works tirelessly toward the same goal: to strive to create shapes that are forever more innovative and aspire to a demanding sense of shape and form. When working purely in wood, Nelo brings out all its sensuality, working with the grain, enhancing its natural patina to create highly successful results. When working with steel he has the secret of achieving special effects through the use of heat or chemicals and making distinctive colours and finishes. Nelo seems to have a physical relationship with his raw materials and is equally accomplished in wood and in steel and he sometimes works the two together. The end result transcends pure technique and the rein undoubtedly lies Nelo’s genius. He is as much in his element working on large or small scale works. His works are generally classical in form while at the same time allowing imagination free rein. He has a wide-range of favorite subjects. While his starting point is figurative, some of his work goes toward symbolism. Out of his work there emerge lively shapes with generously lively curves. The series of musical instruments entitled ‘Melodies’ waxes lyrical with its all so-mellifluous curves and arabesques and has a touch of humour that nods and winks impishly to Salvador Dali. The series entitled ‘Plaster’ has a delicacy of form and a softness in its curves which hint at Botero, inviting us to touch them with our eyes… and stroke them with our hands. This artist, you feel, is a perfectionist and this goes hand in hand with a talent and an imagination that breathe life and soul into the raw materials. Nelo is nowadays a well-known artist and has won a number of prizes. His work can be found all over Europe and in Japan. Bernard Boscher Art Critique CE 24

His arrangements are controlled, yet the elements float with a joyous and invigorating freedom. His painstaking technique of preparing his design for weeks and even months before he places oil on canvas is evident in his superb compositions. Maes' oeuvre is wonderfully reminiscent of many movements in the visual arts, while resonating with musical harmony. Born in Belgium, Maes draws his inspiration from his current home in Crete.
