Technology – Technological advancements are integral to our operations. Our dedicated Customer Zone offers real-time access to rates, availability, exclusive allocations, and a wealth of inspiring content, including high-resolution imagery, a video library, and downloadable brochures. We can connect with you on multiple platforms, including our Thompsons Africa Rates and Bookings system, as well as numerous API Integrations (for example, Travelgate and Intuitive), allowing for a seamless, fast, and efficient means of communicating and confirming services with us in real-time.

Our fleet of around 170 vehicles ranges from sedans to two-passenger limousines, eight seaters, eleven seaters and fifteen seaters, luxury 44-seater coaches and 60-seater touring vehicles. This massive tyreprint across the continent also comes with a small carbon footprint and among our innovations is a water recycling plant to provide environmentally friendly washes. Group Travel – In group travel, we specialize in catering to Series and Adhoc leisure or special interest groups. We design individual packages to suit the unique interests of our customers. Operating from major cities like Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg, as well as eleven reception offices throughout Southern Africa and Mauritius, we ensure comprehensive coverage, supported by permanent teams of experienced Tour Guides, Drivers, and Guest Service Officers. Our tour guides, many with university degrees in relevant fields, such as marketing, photography, tourism, and education, embody the essence of Thompsons Africa, serving as passionate ambassadors for our beautiful country. The Guest Service Officers (GSOs) at four major airports meet-and-greet, assist with lost luggage, and undertake care visits when required. Our Customer Care Centre is available 24/7 to deal with any of your guests’ concerns and our GSOs are at hand, around the clock, to deal with any hitches or emergencies. Free Sell Policy – Our unique ‘Free Sell’ policy grants flexibility in booking, allowing for easy adjustments up to 30 days prior to departure for Fully Guided Journeys and up to 48 hours for Day Tours.
