ROSTER MOVES Thorns FC announced several additional roster moves ahead of their May 11 match against Orlando. Portland has signed three additional players to its supplemental roster: forward Simone Charley, midfielder Emily Ogle and defender Madison Pogarch. Additionally, forward Hayley Raso received her green card and no longer occupies an international roster spot. Midfielders Andressinha and Angela Salem have returned to Portland and have been added to the active roster, while Thorns FC waived forwards Mallory Weber and Ifeoma Onumonu.
VS. SKY BLUE FC Portland is unbeaten in its last four meetings (2-0-2) against Sky Blue FC, earning a point on the road on April 28 with a 2-2 draw. Thorns FC have earned at least one point in seven of their last eight matches (5-1-2) against Sky Blue FC. Additionally, Portland is unbeaten in its last four trips (3-0-1) to Yurcak Field. MATCH PREVIEW Portland concludes its stretch of six consecutive road games to begin the season on Saturday, squaring off against Sky Blue FC on May 25 in their final trip to Yurcak Field during the 2019 regular season. On Sept. 22, 2018, Thorns FC recorded their sixth sellout in club history for the 2018 NWSL Championship game between Portland and the North Carolina Courage - the largest crowd for a U.S. women’s professional soccer championship match.
