KEIKI CLUB RELAX. WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED You deserve a relaxing vacation. That is why we have developed personalized programs that give both kids and adults the opportunity to experience meaningful activities that incorporate being active, culture and fun. Integrating play with culture, kids learn through art about endangered Hawaiian monk seals and Nene (Hawaii’s state bird), and through crafts about palm frond weaving and haku lei making like Native Hawaiians of old. A splashing good time will be had at the pool (always a favorite!) at our family-friendly resort. Other fun activities include shell bracelet making, hula lessons, volcano making, or Bird Talk with Al, our on-staff bird biologist. For our older kids (ages 8-15), island excursions are tailored to the groupʻs abilities and interests.
SURF CAMP WITH KAUA‘I BEACH BOYS What’s radder than riding waves with local Hawaiians? As soon as you said Hawaii, your kids started dreaming about hanging ten on a monster wave. Make that dream a reality with the best surfers on the island.
LIL FARMERS Dinner will never taste better after your kids spend time at the Farm with Farmer Cody. Located on property, the Farm at Hōkūala provides our restaurant and spa with fresh, local ingredients, and it’s a delight to work with Cody who is incredibly passionate about his work. It’s educational, but exciting too! Your kids will learn where food comes from, get their hands dirty and maybe even help create a culinary masterpiece for you to enjoy!
LIL CHEFS After spending time at the farm, your lil farmers will certainly want to help create the finished product. Join our chefs at Hualani’s for a cooking class and your lil farmers will be lil chefs in no time! Lil chefs learn basic cooking techniques, Hawaiian-inspired recipes and create their own lil masterpieces.
LIL TIGERS Teaching kids the greatest game ever played can be a challenge, but on the Ocean Course it’s as much of an adventure as hiking or surfing. Your lil tigers will cruise through papaya groves on the front nine before the wow factor of the back nine where they’ll want to stop and snap some pictures of the Pacific, all while learning tips from our pros on swing mechanics and enjoying fun putting and chipping contests.
GUIDED BIKE TRIPS Soak in all of the sites with a guided bike tour around Hōkūala’s 17- mile trail system with a knowledgeable local guide who will point out all of the must-sees.
NATURE HIKES What better way to get to know Kaua‘i than from a bird’s-eye view? How about getting to know the birds themselves? Take a hike with our adventure guides as they point out local flora and fauna, combining ecological science with ancient Hawaiian legends.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES Arts and Crafts, Kaua‘i-style. Your little ones will delight in stringing tropical flowers together to create their own leis, or painting coconuts or making shell bracelets as souvenirs for their friends. Maybe they want to play ukulele, or learn to hula, if it’s a Hawaiian tradition, we’re happy to show them the ropes, and welcome them into our ohana.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY Vacations last longer with every beautiful memory saved. Your kids will learn the basics of photo and video capture, as well as how to edit the photos into brilliant presentations they can use for school, or to look back at years from now.
