FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER, CHRIS GAMPON
Summer has arrived! Whether you are a beach enthusiast, a nature lover, enjoy health and fitness, or savor simple relaxation, sunny summer days at Timbers Kaua‘i have something unforgettable in store.
In addition to year-round activities like Owner beach days, aqua fitness, and yoga, we have added more organized hiking activities around the island, providing the opportunity to explore spectacular trails in Koke’e State Park that are difficult to access outside of the summer months. If you prefer to stay closer to home, weekly favorites like the bird and nature tour, e-bike tours, and The Farm at Hōkūala tour are beautiful additions to any visit. Owners who like to walk or bike independently can visit the Farm Hale for a cool beverage, frozen treat, or snacks.
Summer on Kaua‘i is a time when the island truly comes alive. The Pacific waters are crystal clear, inviting us to swim, snorkel, and surf. Everywhere you look, the lush landscapes are bursting with tropical blooms. Evenings are pure magic, with sunsets painting the sky in hues of pink, orange, and purple, with the relaxing sound of waves crashing on the shore. Summer in Kaua‘i is more than a season; it’s a celebration of the island’s natural beauty and the spirit of aloha that binds us all.

2024 SOUTH SEAS TARPON TOURNAMENT
IN SUPPORT OF FOLDS OF HONOR
Captiva Island was abuzz this May as the 2024 South Seas Tarpon Tournament brought together anglers, veterans, and families to support Folds of Honor, a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to providing educational scholarships to families of fallen and disabled veterans and first responders. This inaugural tournament not only highlighted Captiva’s rich waters but also demonstrated a profound commitment to honoring those who have sacrificed for the country. The event, led by Timbers Company CEO and veteran Greg Spencer, aimed to make a tangible difference in the local community by funding scholarships for Folds of Honor recipients in Lee County, Florida.
Participants enjoyed a memorable weekend filled with camaraderie, heartfelt speeches, and family-friendly activities, raising $200,000 to fund 40 scholarships. The event’s highlight was a moving speech by Ashlyn McCain, a Folds of Honor scholarship recipient, whose story inspired every attendee to support the cause. The success of this event, made possible by generous sponsors and donors, ensures its return in 2025 on Memorial Day weekend, continuing the Timbers Company tradition of supporting and honoring the nation’s heroes.
