CORRUPTION PERCEPTION INDEX 2014 In the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) 2014, Nepal scored 29 out of 100, on a scale from 0 (perceived to be highly corrupt) to 100 (perceived to be very clean).

CAPSULE MONTHLY NEWS BULLETIN DECEMBER 2014

The index is based on experts’ assessments and opinion surveys conducted by renowned institutions, including the Bertelsmann Foundation, World Bank, World Economic Forum, Global Justice Project, Global Insight and other leading institutions. A score of less than 50 indicates that countries are highly prone to corrupt behavior, and the activities currently carried out to control corruption are ineffective. TI-Nepal, therefore, stresses the need for the implementation of more effective anti corruption measures to minimize the incidence of corruption in Nepal.
