in Sutton
By Lisa Fattori
B
allymore Homes and Briarwood Homes have opened two new model homes at their popular Jubilee community in Sutton. Homeowners and new purchasers have the opportunity to see, firsthand, the beautiful craftsmanship of their dream homes, as well as the plethora of options available to them in selecting their finishes.
echoed in kitchen backsplashes and tiled floors. While the subdued colour scheme carries into the master bedroom, the use of hot pinks, bright greens and blues brings fun and whimsy to children’s bedrooms. Both homes also have finished basements, complete with a family room, games room with pool table and wet bar, and a threepiece bathroom.
“The feedback about the model homes was wonderful, with people very impressed with the features and finishes and the beautiful interior design of each home,” says Helen Rupolo, executive assistant for Ballymore Homes. “We had some people comment that they had never considered buying at Jubilee, until they saw these homes. That’s how impressive they are.”
In addition to the Haddon Hall and Windsor Hall models, purchasers at Jubilee have a great selection of home designs that include bungalow, bungalow with loft and two-storey designs, with prices starting from $438,990. Standard finishes include nine ft. main floor ceilings, tray ceilings in
master bedrooms, gas fireplace complete with mantle, a holiday switch for seasonal lighting, cold cellar, and a three-piece rough-in washroom in the basement. Some kitchens offer centre islands with breakfast bars, as well as a servery and pantry. All 40 ft. models also come with free-standing oval tubs, and enlarged ensuite showers with a bench. The model homes – The Haddon Hall and The Windsor Hall - are part of the collection of the 40-ft. single detached homes that are currently available at Jubilee. The 2,546 sq. ft. Haddon Hall model is a stunning fourbedroom home that features an open concept layout, with a living/dining room and large kitchen that is open to the great room. The Windsor Hall offers 3,220 sq. ft. of space with a library, separate living room and dining room, and soaring open to above foyer. Both models offer private ensuites and Jack and Jill bathrooms, centre islands in kitchens and free-standing oval tubs in master ensuites. Designed by Toronto-based design firm, Flora Di Menna Designs, the interiors of the model homes are elegant and comfortable, with a calming colour scheme of grays, greens, taupes and warm whites. DemanD outpaces supply in Gta low-rise market
he demand for low-rise housing in the GTA is outpacing supply, with homes being purchased as soon as they are brought to market, the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) announced in July. Supply of low-rise homes, which includes detached, semi-detached and townhomes, hit
a new record low in June, bringing inventory levels down to just 5,155 across the GTA. There were 2,381 low-rise homes sold in June – exceeding the amount brought to market that month. “Constrained supply of low-rise housing is significantly affecting choice for new-home buyers in the GTA,” said BILD president
intelligence. Pricing in the high-rise sector remained relatively unchanged at $441,134.
and CEO Bryan Tuckey. “Limited supply of developable land with essential infrastructure, like roads and sewers, is driving up prices of new homes coming to market.”
“As prices continue to grow, many GTA residents have been priced out of the low-rise market,” Tuckey added. “We need to ensure a healthy supply of low-rise homes in the GTA to accommodate demand for our growing population.”
The average price of a new low-rise home in the GTA hit a record-high $785,800 in June, according to RealNet Canada Inc., BILD’s official source for new home market
