CELEBRATE

THE MISSION OF Robin Brown/ State Farm? To listen, honor, and respect all of our clients and find out what is most important to them. People insure their homes and autos because the bank says they have to. Protecting a family’s biggest asset, their earning capability, is what drives us and keeps us in touch with customers. COMPANY’S TENURE IN LOUISVILLE? 28 years. State Farm brought me to Louisville. COMPANY’S PROUDEST MOMENT(S)? State Farm’s highest level company award is called Crystal Excellence, which recognizes 25 years of doing all the things State Farm has asked of me and my team in areas of customer retention, products offered to customers, and good frontline underwriting. Not many agents receive it. The first year I qualified was 2016, and I’ve qualified for it every year since. BEST EMPLOYEE BENEFIT? I’m proud that I can offer a 401(k) to my team, and I have never, ever not matched it. Regardless of what has gone on in our economy, my people have been able to save for their retirement. We have really cohesive teamwork and we have a lot of respect for one another. ORGANIZATIONS YOUR BUSINESS SUPPORTS? JCPS Teenage Parent Program (TAPP) School, Blessing in a Backpack, Girl Scouts, the Alzheimer’s Association. We just try to be across the board and touch as many people as we can. UPCOMING GOALS? I want to finish my year strong and maintain all of my employees and continue to offer them the same level of benefits. Personally, I want to continue to stay healthy. TOP REASONS TO LOVE LOUISVILLE? The list is endless. Cherokee Park is one of my favorite places. There’s great camping within 45 minutes of home. Who doesn’t love the Derby? UofL sports. The people of Louisville are great.

CULTURE OF YOUR COMPANY? We practice open communication and respect. We listen to one another, and if something has gone haywire, we figure it out and fix it. I hire professional people; I’m not a micro-manager, and people have a lot of autonomy. We’re very inclusive. Compiled by Carrie Vittitoe
