SURVEILLANCE IN THE 1990S
reg Bishop is a longtime observer of the UFO phenomenon and a good friend of mine. He’s also a respected researcher and author who has covered numerous aspects of the UFO subject, including the contactee phenomenon of the 1950s, cattle mutilations, and the Roswell affair of July 1947. Bishop is someone who also found himself the subject of secret surveillance—and possibly a secret file—when he began to liaise with certain people in ufology who had dug into the matter of what the US government, military, and intelligence community know about the phenomenon of alien abductions. In part, at least, this was very likely as a result of the publication of his 2005 book, Project Beta, which was focused on the bizarre and troubling saga of Paul Bennewitz, Judy Doraty, and Myrna Hansen. All three, you will recall, had significant links to the alien abduction issue and the government’s knowledge of what’s going on. I say “in part” because there is strong evidence that Bishop was being watched much earlier than that.
