MILABS IN THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY
s we have seen, so-called MILABS—military abductions—date back to 1957 with the saga of Antonio Villas Boas, a Brazilian man whose encounter with aliens may actually not have been anything of the sort. Very much the same can be said for the 1973 experiences of Calvin Parker and Charles Hickson. Now, to demonstrate that the phenomenon of MILAB is still very much ongoing, we’ll take a look at a significant case from 2015. It comes from my own files and tells the story of Charlie from Shreveport, Louisiana. Charlie contacted me in late 2016, after seeing me talking about extraterrestrial abductions on the History Channel’s hugely popular show Ancient Aliens. It was on January 2, 2015, that Charlie had an encounter that he wishes he could forever forget. Unfortunately, that seems unlikely. The event in question is embedded in his mind and, in all likelihood, will remain there. As Charlie told me, when we met at the annual Texas Bigfoot Conference in Jefferson, Texas, in October 2016, he has conscious recall of the abduction, which occurred when he was nineteen years of age.
