Originally launched as a pop-up activation, One World Radio is now a household name. With live broadcasts from all Tomorrowland events, reruns of the best sets, interviews with all your favourite artists, and the best radio hosts, it has become a globally adored radio network with avid listeners from every electronic music genre. Coming at you live from the Holy Grounds again, One World Radio will broadcast from the onsite studio this year. This way, your friends can tune in from the comfort of their homes, your nan can vibe along real-time to your magical Tomorrowland experience, and you know where to go to get (very) close to your favourite DJs!

Come In Live

Wait, do you really know where to go, though? The One World Radio Studio is situated right next to the Rave Cave stage and has an open-door policy. Quite literally, as the hosts’ temporary abode is covered in posters saying ‘come in!’ Entrance is free, of course, and it not only allows you to take a peek behind the scenes of professional radio making, but it also lets you get nerve-wrackingly close to your musical heroes. Drop by and who knows who you might bump into!

People you can be sure to encounter, whatever else happens, are the three hosts. The always-chatty Adam K, the ever-chill Justin Wilkes, and the newest addition to the team, Ben Malone, take turns in getting the latest musical scoops from artists about to hit the stage and capturing the ultimate highs of those who have just finished their sets. You can even be part of the radio interviews yourself by dropping your questions via the One World Radio website, app or social media pages. And the app and website streams are not just the go-to way to feel present for those who aren’t physically here, they’re also the only way to experience The Gathering for all without DreamVille access.

Hosts with the Most

Familiar to many already, the One World Radio hosts have been an active part of the Tomorrowland community for years. They are the voices (and faces) of the global broadcasts, but also performing DJs themselves. When they aren’t on the ones and twos on the radio studio mic, you can catch them turning up the volume in a different way – behind the decks at a Tomorrowland stage.

Ben Malone

The newest addition to the One World Radio team is Ben Malone. Though he has been the host of the ‘Your Friday’ and ‘Your Weekend’ radio shows since last year, this will be his first time hosting live from the Holy Grounds. Let’s catch up with him to find out how excited he is about hearing Tomorrowland veterans’ as well as new artists’ Adscendo journeys.

Hi Ben! Tell us a little about your One World Radio shows.

“I host ‘Your Friday’, which is the kickoff of the weekend with the very best current and new Tomorrowland anthems from all over the world, and a real focus on new and developing artists. On Saturdays and Sundays, I host Your Weekend, where we cover everything from old to new stuff. We relive moments from the Tomorrowland Mainstage and bring a variety of classics, new stuff, and everything in between.”

How do you feel about your live Tomorrowland broadcasting debut?

“I’m super excited. I think it’s gonna be quite intense because there are loads of artists who will be dropping into the studio, and with live radio, you never know what’s gonna happen, right? It’ll be interesting to see how that all pieces together, but I have no doubt it’s going be a really exciting weekend of broadcasting from the festival. We will have some of the biggest artists in the world as well as a lot of new artists dropping by the studio. As this is the first weekend for both the veterans and the new ones, it’ll be fun to capture everyone’s initial reaction to seeing the Mainstage for the first time! It will be lovely to give listeners exclusive access to exactly what is going down on each stage as and when it’s happening, right in the moment. It is the best way to be involved for people who can’t be here themselves.”

Anything specific that you are really looking forward to, or that you are hoping for?

“I think for me, my bucket list interview artists would be Eric Prydz and Anyma, who’s one half of Tale of Us. I love Eric Prydz because he has held a special place in my heart since the first time I ever went to Ibiza. I went to his headline show on the last night of my trip and he played an incredible set, and he’s been a real icon for me ever since. It was the first time I’d ever really heard more progressive music in a live capacity. It blew my mind and just made me fall in love with dance music. Like Eric, Anyma always brings an incredible visual experience as well. His vision and what he has created in the last 12 months is really special. Fingers crossed I’ll get to have a chat with him!”
