Progetto 50 is an ambitious creation, as ambitious as the project to bring out to the open all three of our creations, show them where nature has its highest expression, this is the new challenge of Toncelli “WHERE IT ALL BEGINS”. With this catalog Toncelli celebrates its territory consecrating its history in his own land, the scene of these shots will take you on a magic journey that begins with the cigar tall unit, located in the amphitheater with the background of the medieval bell tower, continuing with the Wine tall unit lying in our beautiful vineyards of Tuscany, ending with the Cocktail unit another example of our excellence. Progetto50 is a tribute to the genius of Tuscan Renaissance. It ‘s our contribution so that this art will always remain alive in our memories. It manifests itself in three unique pieces, dedicated to lovers of wines, cocktails and cigars. Three important works of art have been designed to complete the collection Progetto50. Designed and manufactured in a workmanlike by Tuscan master artisans, these models show technical solutions and extremely accurate design. The tall units have externally inlays of great value and appeal made by the Institute of Art A Giovagnoli of Anghiari, according to ancient techniques of mathematical perspective developed by Brunelleschi in Florence in the fourteenth century. The mathematical perspective inlay is a technique directly related to the birth of centric linear perspective (commonly called “perspective”), developed by the Florentine architect Filippo Brunelleschi, between 1417 and 1420. The great revolution of perspective brought along with itself all the arts related to the painting, including the art of marquetry, which, like a painting, was enriched with nuances, lights and shadows. The perspective mathematical inlay soon became an incomparable art, the same that we have adopted to implement the fronts of our special furniture. A few thousand pieces of different woods for about 30 finishes for each unit, each of which proposes a subject inspired by the use of the tall unit. The three-dimensional effect of the scenario is breathtaking. The interior of this furniture is a journey of discovery of amazing and fascinating secrets: hidden multiple mechanisms, which once discovered, reveal secret compartments, shelves, drawers, or other types of containers not visible if you are not aware of their existence. The art of making furniture with this technique was born and reached its greatest success in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Rediscovering the great eighteenth century construction techniques, Toncelli made this special furniture with secrets that synthesize a new era of splendor for furniture art with great skill elegance and creativity.

Progetto 50 è una creazione ambiziosa, come ambizioso è stato il progetto di portare fuori, in spazi aperti, le nostre tre creazioni, mostrarle dove la natura ha la sua massima espressione, questa è la nuova sfida di Toncelli “DOVE TUTTO HA INIZIO”. Con questo catalogo Toncelli celebra il territorio consacrando la sua storia nella propria terra, lo scenario di questi scatti vi condurrà come per magia in un viaggio che ha inizio con la colonna sigari, collocata nell’anfiteatro con sfondo il campanile medievale, prosegue con la colonna vino adagiata sulle nostre splendide vigne toscane, terminando con la cocktail innalzata all’interno di un’altra nostra eccellenza. Progetto50 è un omaggio al genio toscano rinascimentale. E’ il nostro contributo affinché quest’arte rimanga sempre viva nella nostra memoria. Si manifesta in tre pezzi unici, dedicati ai cultori dei vini, dei cocktails e dei sigari. Tre opere d’arte importanti pensate per completare la collezione Progetto50. Progettati e realizzati a regola d’arte dai maestri artigiani toscani, questi modelli mostrano soluzioni tecniche e di design estremamente accurati. Le colonne presentano esternamente intarsi di grande valore e fascino eseguiti dall’Istituto d’Arte A Giovagnoli di Anghiari, secondo le antiche tecniche della prospettiva matematica messe a punto dal Brunelleschi a Firenze nel XIV secolo. L’intarsio prospettico matematico è una tecnica direttamente legata alla nascita della prospettiva lineare centrica (detta comunemente “prospettiva”), messa a punto dall’architetto fiorentino Filippo Brunelleschi, tra il 1417 e il 1420. La grande rivoluzione della prospettiva trascinò con sé tutte le arti legate alla pittura, compresa l’arte dell’intarsio, che, come un dipinto, si arricchì di sfumature, luci e ombre. L’intarsio prospettico matematico divenne presto un’arte impareggiabile, la stessa che abbiamo adottato per realizzare i frontali dei nostri mobili speciali. Qualche migliaio di tessere di legni diversi per circa 30 finiture per ogni mobile, ognuno dei quali propone un soggetto ispirato all’utilizzo della colonna. L’effetto tridimensionale dello scenario è strabiliante. L’interno di questi mobili è un viaggio alla scoperta di incredibili e suggestivi segreti: molteplici meccanismi celati, che una volta scoperti, rivelano scomparti nascosti, ripiani, cassetti o altre tipologie di contenitori, non visibili se non si è a conoscenza della loro esistenza. L’arte di realizzare mobili con questa tecnica nacque e conobbe il suo maggior successo nel XVIII e XIX secolo. Recuperando con dovizia filologica le tecniche di costruzione settecentesche, Toncelli ha realizzato questi mobili speciali con segreti che sintetizzano una nuova epoca di splendore per l’arte mobiliera artigiana di grande perizia eleganza e creatività.

Le ante esterne raffigurano oggetti che ritroviamo all’interno del mobile decorate con la tecnica dell’intarsio sono state ricavate da impiallacciature di 15 tipi di essenze lignee, alcune delle quali usate in più tonalità, un mosaico che anticipa il contenuto del mobile e la promessa di un momento esclusivo. Termometro e girometro del climatizzatore per sigari. Il mobile presenta soluzioni tecniche e design accuratissime. Nella parte superiore, due humidors garantiscono il giusto condizionamento, attraverso il metodo Peltier che provvede a mantenere un equilibrio costante tra temperatura (18°-20°) e umidità (68-75%) per la conservazione dei sigari. L’unità di climatizzazione è una apparecchiatura che, per mezzo di Celle Peltier, assorbe determinate quantità di calore per trasferirle da un ambiente ad un altro: nella fase di raffreddamento il calore prelevato dall’espositore viene riversato nell’ambiente circostante, viceversa durante la fase di riscaldamento il calore assorbito dall’ambiente viene trasferito all’interno dell’espositore. Il sistema di umidificazione garantisce il mantenimento del livello di umidità ottimale facendo evaporare o condensare l’acqua contenuta nell’apposito serbatoio. L’appropriata ventilazione impedisce la formazione di sacche di calore. I rivestimenti interni e i vassoi delle vetrine sono in cedrella odorata o caraibica, un’essenza proveniente dall’America Latina, scelta per le sue qualità uniche e la sua fragranza pungente che favorisce l’invecchiamento dei sigari, proteggendo il tabacco dai parassiti e dall’umidità agendo qualitativamente sull’aroma. The air conditioning unit is an apparatus which, through Peltier cells, absorbs a certain amount of heat to transfer them from one environment to another: in the cooling phase the heat taken by the exhibitor is poured into the surrounding environment, vice versa during heating phase the heat absorbed from the environment is transferred inside the exhibitor. The humidification system ensures the maintenance of the optimal level of humidity by evaporating or condensing the water contained in the appropriate tank. The appropriate ventilation prevents the formation of pockets of heat. The interior trim and trays are glazed with Caribbean cedrella, an essence from Latin America, chosen for its unique qualities and its pungent fragrance that helps the aging of cigars, protecting tobacco from pests and from humidity acting positively on the aroma.

Il mobile è arricchito da una serie raffinata di accessori, cestone centrale con 4 vassoi personalizzabili, 6 bicchieri whisky, 6 calici Cognac Napoleon, 8 calici Rum, bicchieri soffiati a mano personalizzati da Toncelli. Nella parte inferiore vassoi estraibili in Wengé per disporre il cioccolato, per custodire mazzi di carte da gioco, fiches e dadi e un portabottiglie con comparto per bicchieri per la degustazione dei liquori. La promessa di un momento esclusivo, una mano di poker, con un sigaro invecchiato e un buon bicchiere di rum. Completano il mobile un kit fumatore dotato di accendino, astucci sigari, tagliasigari, forbice da tasca e posacenere. Il mobile speciale dedicato alla cantina racchiude in sé ogni più piccolo accorgimento per la conservazione e la degustazione del buon vino. Rigorosamente progettato e consapevolmente attrezzato per affascinare l’intelletto attraverso l’esperienza dei sensi. La rappresentazione della vigna, sulle ante del mobile, è realizzata con tasselli disegnati uno ad uno in legni come l’ebano, il wengé, l’olmo, l’acero, la radica di pioppo e di mirto, il noce, l’ebano viola. The unit dedicated to winery embodies every little trick for storing and tasting good wine. Rigorously designed and equipped to appeal to the intellect through the experience of the senses. The representation of the vineyard, on the doors of the cabinet is made of tiles designed individually in woods such as ebony, wengé, elm, maple, poplar briar and myrtle burl, walnut, purple ebony.

L’anta centrale, anima del mobile, racchiude la nicchia per il decanter e calici, decorata con l’intarsio di Bacco si apre con un movimento girevole, tutti i meccanismi di apertura e di scorrimento sono rigorosamente manuali ispirati alla cultura rinascimentale e alle “macchine” di Leonardo da Vinci. Nella parte inferiore un frigo cantina, destinato a 36 bottiglie, consente di mantenere la temperatura idonea alle varie tipologie di vino e un ricco alveo portabottiglie,capace di contenerne 48, ne permetterà la conservazione. L’intarsio esterno è un richiamo esplicito ai grattacieli di Manhattan, che oltre ad essere il nome di un importante quartiere newyorkese è soprattutto il nome di uno dei più famosi cocktail a base di whisky. Impreziosiscono la colonna 18 bicchieri personalizzati tra vintage champagne glass e martini, secchio ghiaccio e secchio champagne, kit completo di accessori per la preparazione dei cocktails, frigo cantina e macchina per caffè.
