On a brighter note, last month I had one of the funniest moments I have experienced in a long, long time — I mean a real, rib-tickling night out and I want everyone who ever liked Fawlty Towers to look out for the return of these spectacular actors in September/October and book a ticket for this fabulous night out. Cue: Fawlty Towers The Dining Experience. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, my friends and I — a table of 10 — were in hysterics. The lookalike actors Manuel, Sybil and Basil were absolutely amazing, re-inacting some of the most famous scenes from this great comedy series all those years ago. The room was filled with people from all different nationalities — English, Danish, Dutch, Swedish and Germans, the last who, when “Basil” did his famous Hitler walk, had everyone in tears of laughter. This amazing trio certainly made it a night to remember by all, and the general consensus by everyone was: ‘We can’t wait until they return’. The night included the brilliant trio’s act as well as a lovely three-course meal provided by ‘Mangoa Catering’, who have a superb restaurant in Velez Malaga (See advert on page 11). This was all for an exceptional price of 35 euros per head — to be honest, with how much fun the evening was, it was worth every cent just for the entertainment! (The fabulous meal was a most welcome bonus!) With venues sold out in Nerja, Frigiliana, Torre del Mar, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Mijas and Gibraltar, this is an act that you will not want to miss next time they are here in Spain. I have warned you, so book early or you WILL be disappointed. Keep an eye out in ‘The Sentinella’ for more of

Strange News these exciting nights to come throughout the year, brought to us by ‘Big M Promotions’. Whilst writing this I have just been to reserve seats for another similar event, but this time it’s an ‘Only Fools and Horses — The Cushty Dining Experience’ brought to Torre del Mar from the people behind the worldwide smash hit, Fawlty Towers. I am sure that this will definitely be a night of laugher and some well-deserved happy tears! I believe at the time of print there are still a few seats available for this show, so don’t delay. Get yourself along to Salon del Mar in Torre del Mar and book yourself one of the few remaining seats. So here’s wishing you all a very happy Easter and on that note, lovely jubbly, bonjour and hors d’oeuvres to everyone!

It’s a miracle — not A South African pastor has claimed he brought a dead man back to life, describing the episode as a ‘miracle.’ Alph Lukau placed his hands on a body lying inside an open casket, before the man suddenly, and quite dramatically, jumped to his feet. Within hours the hashtag #ResurrectionChallenge was trending on Twitter as people shared their own ‘revival’ attempts alongside screenshots of Lukau’s ‘miracle’. Unfortunately for Lukau, his viral ‘resurrection’ spectacularly backfired as it emerged three funeral companies are now reportedly suing him for reputational damage. Kingdom Blue, Kings & Queens Funeral Services and Black Phoenix all told local media in South Africa that they were manipulated by Lukau’s church Alleluia Ministries International. Kings & Queens said they were approached by ‘alleged family members of the deceased’ who allegedly said they had a dispute with another funeral provider. They said they were tricked into giving them a hearse by Lukau’s representatives, who allegedly placed stickers from Black Phoenix on their private car in order to appear credible. The Allelulia church has since distanced itself from the incident, telling local media that ‘it was not a resurrection miracle’. The church has declined to comment on criticism that it deceived worshippers, the Sowetan newspaper said. Chilled out cutout US police recently received a surprise when they were called to check on the welfare of a cardboard cutout figure. Officers in the snowy northern state of Minnesota were told an adult male had been seen standing "motionless outside" while "wearing no coat in the cold and hugging a pillow". The figure turned out to be a life-size cardboard cutout of local millionaire and inventor Mike Lindell, the CEO of the popular MyPillow brand. Jordan Police Department wrote on its FB page: "Those cardboard cutouts sure can look real from a distance and the caller certainly was not wanting to get too close, thinking who is this deranged person standing outside in the cold hugging a pillow; always better to call the police."

Strange News (Continued) The “nose” had it A man in Denmark has finally got relief from years of an unexplained blocked nose when doctors discovered a tooth inside his nostril. Doctors were shocked to find the rare condition in the 59-year-old who had been complaining of nasal congestion problems, discharge and a loss of his sense of smell for two years. The individual had suffered facial trauma when he was young, which had left him with a fracture to his jaw and nose, but doctors said there was no evidence to suggest repositioning following the incident was connected to the nasal growth condition. Dr Milos Fuglsang wrote in BMJ Case Reports: "Our patient most likely had the intranasal retained tooth most of his life, but had late onset of symptoms." After a CT scan, the doctors used an endoscope to perform the surgery. Specialists have said it could happen after trauma, infections from a cyst, developmental disturbances like cleft lip or cleft palate, but this case does not have an obvious explanation.

Sealed and delivered An injured grey seal has been released back into the wild after getting stranded 10ft (3m) off the ground on a beach in Yorkshire. The animal, which had hurt its eye, got stuck on top of a Second World War pillbox on Fraisthorpe Beach, near Bridlington on the Yorkshire coast. A concerned passerby raised the alarm, after the seal had been there for 24 hours and an RSPCA team rescued it from the large blockhouse. The male seal was nursed back to health at the Scarborough Sea Life Centre, where vets treated its infected eye and rehydrated it. RSPCA officer Leanne Honess-Heather, who helped rescue the pinniped, said: "The poor seal was clearly distressed and we could see he had injured his eye. "Because he had been stuck up there for 24 hours, and had been exposed to the strong sun throughout the heat of the day, he was very dehydrated. "The light was fading fast and we didn't have much time. We knew we had to get him down quickly.”

Random Jokes :) After having their 11th child, a Liverpool couple decided that was enough, as the social wouldn’t buy them a bigger bed and they weren’t strong enough to steal one. The husband went to his doctor and told him that he and his wife didn’t want to have any more children. The doctor told him there was a procedure called a vasectomy that would fix the problem but it was expensive. A less costly alternative was to go home, get a firework, light it, put it in a beer can, then hold the can up to his ear and count to 10. The Scouser said to the doctor, “I may not be the smartest guy in the world, but I don’t see how putting a firework in a beer can next to my ear is going to help me.” “Trust me, it will do the job,” said the doctor. So the man went home, lit a banger and put it in a beer can. He held the can up to his ear and began to count: “1, 2, 3, 4, 5,” at which point he paused, and placed the beer can between his legs so he could continue counting on his other hand... This procedure also works in other parts of the UK too. ------------------------------------------------------------An elderly couple visit McDonalds. He orders one hamburger, one order of french fries and one drink. The old man unwraps the plain hamburger and carefully cuts it in half. He places one half in front of his wife. He then carefully counts out the french fries, dividing them into two piles and neatly placing one pile in front of his wife. He takes a sip of the drink, his wife takes a sip and then sets the cup down between them. As he begins to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people around them keep looking over and whispering. You could tell they were thinking, “That poor old couple all they can afford is one meal for the two of them.” As the man begins to eat his fries a young man comes to the table. He politely offers to buy another meal for the old couple. The old man says they are just fine - They are used to sharing everything. The surrounding people notice the little old lady hasn’t eaten a bite. She sits there watching her husband eat and

occasionally takes turns sipping the drink. Again the young man comes over and begs them to let him buy another meal for them. This time the old woman says, “No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything.” As the old man finishes and is wiping his face neatly with the napkin, the young man again comes over to the little old lady who has yet to eat a single bite of food and asks, “What is it you are waiting for?” She answers.... “The teeth.” ------------------------------------------------------------One Sunday morning, a little girl and her mother go to church. Halfway through, the little girl tells her mother she’s going to be sick. Her mother tells her to go in the bushes behind the church. The girl leaves and comes back after about five minutes. Her mother asks her if she threw up. “Yes,” the girl says. “But I didn’t have to go all the way around the back. There was a box near the front door that said, ‘For the sick.’”

Today Morocco is a constitutional monarchy with an elected parliament. King Mohammad VI, who claims to be directly descended from the prophet, holds vast legislative as well as executive powers. Morocco is a country with a very young population. The majority of its inhabitants, around 70%, are under the age of 30. Morocco is geographically characterized by its two mountain ranges, the Atlas and Rif Mountains; its portion of the Sahara desert; and its beautiful coastal areas. Morocco is one of just three countries in the World that border the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. (The others being France and Spain). Cannabis is grown in the Rif Mountains and according to the French Ministry, 80 percent of the hashish consumed in Europe comes from here. Cultivation of marijuana is one of the major sourcesw of income for many families in the country. One of the words for “money” in Morocco is wusakh d-dunya, or “dirt of the world.”

Currencies Direct A simple way of maximising the income from renting out your holiday home If you love your holiday home in Spain, it can feel a little sad to have to leave it unused for much of the year. Rather than keeping your overseas property locked up for long periods of time, why not rent it out when you’re not using it? This way you can cover your own holiday costs and net an extra source of income. A good rental agency will deal with bookings, sort out any problems and keep your property in tip-top condition for when you return to it. Some will even arrange for a yearly deep clean and new paint job – you won’t even know other people have been staying there. What’s more, with competition high, agencies are competitive on their fees, making it more affordable than you might think to have your property managed. But before you rush off to put your property on the rental market, it’s important to have a strategy in place for repatriating your rental earnings from Spain back to the UK. Using a bank to transfer your earnings could see you landed with hefty transfer fees and you probably won’t get a very good exchange rate either. This can really add up and eat into your income – but it can also be easily avoided. Cut your currency transfer costs Using your regular bank to transfer rental payments and other funds home, but banks typically offer uncompetitive exchange rates and charge transfer fees. Transfer fees show up as an unwelcome extra expense on your bank statements, but losses due to poor exchange rates are less easy to spot. However, you’d be surprised

how these hidden costs add up; even a seemingly small difference in the exchange rate can end up having a big impact over the course of a year. Look at it this way: If you netted €900 per month in rental income and transferred the money back home, an exchange rate of £0.81 would get you £729, while an exchange rate of around £0.86 would net you £774 instead for each payment. Just think of how that difference would add up if you rented your property out for 8 months every year and transferred the money back once a month. That’s over £360 in unnecessary costs, and when you add on the transfer fees it could easily leave you over £500 worse off each year! £500 is a lot of money to donate to your bank, but there’s an easy way to not only avoid transfer fees but also get yourself a much more competitive exchange rate. In fact, all you need to do is use a reputable currency transfer provider, such as Currencies Direct. Currencies Direct and other leading foreign exchange, providers don’t charge transfer fees, and they typically offer much better exchange rates than your average high street bank. So, with just a little bit of help from them you’ll be well on your way to saving far more money each year while you enjoy your holiday home. Currencies Direct have helped over 250,000 customers save on their currency transfers since 1996. Just pop into your local Currencies Direct branch or give us a call to find out more about how you can save money on your currency transfers. See main advert opposite

Carenza Lewis about finding food in the Middle Ages on Time Team Live said: “You’d eat beaver if you could get it.”

Harry Carpenter at the Oxford - Cambridge boat race 1977 - “Ah, isn’t that nice. The wife of the Cambridge President is kissing the Cox of the Oxford crew.”

A female news anchor who, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn’t, turned to the weatherman and asked, “So Bob, where’s that eight inches you promised me last night?” Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too because they were laughing so hard!  US PGA commentator - “One of the reasons Arnie (Arnold Palmer) is playing so well is that, before each tee shot, his wife takes out his balls and kisses them... Oh my god!!! What have I just said?!!!!”

Ted Walsh - Horse Racing commentator “This is really a lovely horse. I once rode her mother.”  New Zealand Rugby commentator - Andrew Mehrtens loves it when Daryl Gibson comes inside of him”. Pat Glenn, weight lifting commentator - “And this is Gregoriava from Bulgaria. I saw her snatch this morning and it was amazing!”

Computer Gender Why our computers should be ladies A Spanish teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine. “House” for instance, is feminine: “la casa.”  “Pencil,” however, is masculine: “el lapiz.” A student asked, “What gender is ‘computer’?” Instead of giving the answer, the teacher spit the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether “computer” should be a masculine or a feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation. The men’s group decided that “computer” should definitely be of the feminine gender (“la computadora”), because:

one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it. (This gets better!) The women’s group, however, concluded that computers should be Masculine (“el computador”), because: 1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on. 2. They have a lot of data but still can’t think for themselves. 3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and 4. As soon as you commit to one, you realise that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic. 2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else. 3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval; and 4. As soon as you make a commitment to

Easter Egg Facts This year Easter Sunday falls on 21st April. We all love a bit of chocolate at Easter, here are some choccie facts.

chocolate is Cadbury’s Creme Egg. Workers at Cadbury in Birmingham produce 1.5 million of these every day.

1. The tallest Easter egg chocolate was made in Italy in 2011. It stood at 10.39 meters and weighed an astounding 7,200 kg.

7. On Easter Sunday in Scotland and North-East England, some people have great fun rolling painted eggs down steep hills. This is also popular in parts of America, where people push the egg along with a spoon.

2. Every child in the UK receives an average of 8.8 Easter eggs every year – double their recommended calorie intake for a whole week. 3. The largest ever Easter egg hunt was in Florida, where 9,753 children searched for 501,000 eggs.

8. The world’s most expensive edible Easter egg was made in 2006. It was created by La Maison du Chocolat and had over a hundred half-carat diamonds encrusted into the shell. The price tag? A whopping £50,000!

4. When people gorge on a chocolate Easter bunny, 76 per cent bite off the ears first, 5 per cent go for the feet and 4 per cent opt for the tail. 5. The UK’s first chocolate egg was produced in 1873 by Fry’s of Bristol. 6. The world’s most popular egg-shaped

VetiverSpain NOW IS THE BEST TIME TO PLANT VETIVER GRASS TO HALT EROSION! VetiverSpain has been growing Vetiver Grass for 10 years and are the largest Certified Vetiver supplier in the EU. We want to share what we have learned. We have many photographs showing when we planted Vetiver and then showing the actual results. You can see these results on our “Growth” page at www.vetiverspain.com The key temperature for the best results is when the low temperatures are above 10C. The plant is originally from India and is sterile and non invasive. Vetiver thrives in the summer heat. We plant Vetiver all year long but for the best results plant NOW! Make an appointment to visit our Nursery in the campo above Sayalonga.

A National Geographic’s Magazine article called Vetiver, “Roots of Steel.” Vetiver is used worldwide as a nutritious animal feed that can be cut back about 3 times a year and used like hay. Vetiver also increases crop production. Ask us how and why this is. Here is a link off of our website with more information about planting Vetiver. https://www.vetiverspain.com/best-time-forplanting-vetiver..html See the “Blue Buttons” on our home page for additional information.

Vetiver has many uses. The most common is for halting erosion. This is due to Vetiver’s incredibly strong and deep root system. It grows straight down to the depth of 3-4 metres.

If you have any questions please visit our website at www.vetiverspain Contact us at (34) 692288657 David and Anna Email: info@vetiverspain.com See main advert below

Now taking bookings for Easter!!

VetiverSpain Now is the time to plant! Vetiver grass has many applications but its most common use is for solving erosion problems due to its 2-4 metre deep root system. For the fastest growth in most parts of Spain & Portugal early March is the best time to plant Vetiver. The reason is that Vetiver is indigenousness to India and loves the heat of summer, which is against what most people believe. If planted at this time you can expect to have mature plants 1-2 metres tall by Autumn. View our website for many applications and to see examples of dated photos showing the results of planting at different times of the year. The English Language Reasons why the English Language is hard to learn: The bandage was wound around the wound. The farm was used to produce produce. The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse. He could lead if he would get the lead out. The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert. Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present. A bass was painted on the head of the bass drum. When shot at, the dove dove into the bushes.

England nor French fries in France. Sweetmeats are candies while sweetbreads, which aren’t sweet, are meat. We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig. And why is it that writers write but fingers don’t fing, grocers don’t groce and hammers don’t ham? If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn’t the plural of booth beeth? One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2 meese? One index, 2 indices? Doesn’t it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend, that you comb through annals of history but not a single annal? If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it? If teaches taught, why didn’t preachers praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat?

I did not object to the object. There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row. They were too close to the door to close it. The buck does funny things when the does are present. A seamstress and a sewer fell down into a sewer line. To help with planting, the farmer taught his sow to sow. The wind was too strong to wind the sail. After a number of injections my jaw got number. Upon seeing the tear in the painting I shed a tear. I had to subject the subject to a series of tests. How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend?  Let’s face it - English is a crazy language. There is no egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren’t invented in

Sometimes I think all the English speakers should be comitted to an asylum for the verbally insane. In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital? Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Park on driveways and drive on parkways? Have noses that run and feet that smell? How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites? You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which you fill in a form by filling it out and in which an alarm goes off by going on. English was invented by people, not computers, and it reflects the creativity of the human race (which, of course, isn’t a race at all). That is why, when the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible? And why, when I wind up my watch, I start it, but when I wind up this essay, I end it? English is a silly language - it doesn’t know if it is coming or going. Nor do I come to that - haha!

A-Z Of Spain Following on from The Sentinella’s journey through the alphabet to discover the joys of Spain. This month we take a look at what makes Spain ‘I’. Ibiza - Ibiza has a reputation as a party island, but there is much more to Ibiza than its excellent nightclubs. The island is the closest of all the Balearic islands to mainland Spain and has a 200km/125 mile coastline, with many small coves and over 50 stunning beaches. During the 1990s tourism in Ibiza grew dramatically and the island was recored in the Guinness Book of World Records as the ‘entertainment island of the world’. Many thousands of visitors of all ages fill the resorts of Ibiza and the big-name nightclubs are legendary. Away from the clubs, other highlights of Ibiza include olive, almond and fig groves, salt lakes, pine forests and many historic buildings and attractions. Ibiza town is one of the most well preserved medieval towns in the whole of Europe and

it’s the largest and most beautiful town on the island. Its attractions include a stunning cathedral and many fabulous restaurants and chic bars. Nearby there are also many old stone cottages on the island’s hilly countryside and walking in the area is popular. The beautiful island boasts an average of 300 days of sunshine each year. This fact, combined with numerous excellent beaches, clear blue seas and exceptional nightlife means that Ibiza is understandably a popular destination for tourists. ITV - In England we are used to ITV being the TV channel for Coronation Street, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and other quality shows, but here ITV actually stands for Inspeccion Tecnica de Vehiculos and it is the Spanish equivalent for MOT, that what a car must pass before it can be legally taxed. The local ITV centre if you live in or around the Torre del Mar area is situated on the way up to Algarrobo Pueblo, just a few minutes drive from Algarrobo Costa.

& t i u Fr Facts uit VegGrapefr Grapefruit is a tropical citrus fruit known for its sweet and somewhat sour taste, but it’s also rich in nutrients, antioxidants and fibre, making it one of the healthiest citrus fruits you can eat. In addition to being very hydrating due to its water content, research shows that grapefruit may have further health benefits, including weight loss and a reduced risk of heart disease. Grapefruit is high in nutrients, but low in calories. In addition to a good amount of fibre, grapefruit also provides more than 15 beneficial vitamins, minerals and antioxidant plant compounds. Eating grapefruit regularly may be beneficial for your immune system. It's prized for its high content of vitamin C, which has antioxidant properties known to protect your cells from harmful bacteria and viruses. Additionally, several studies have shown vitamin C to be beneficial for helping people recover more quickly from the common cold. Many other vitamins and minerals found in grapefruit are known to benefit immunity, including vitamin A, which has been shown to help protect against inflammation and several infectious diseases. Grapefruit also provides small amounts of B vitamins, zinc, copper and iron, which all work together in the body to promote immune system function. They also help maintain the integrity of your skin, which acts as a protective barrier to infection. The fibre content of grapefruit is beneficial for inducing feelings of fullness. This is because fibre slows the rate at which your stomach empties, increasing digestion time and improving appetite control. This helps you eat fewer calories throughout the day. Additionally, grapefruit contains lots of water, which is another characteristic known to help with weight loss.

One study in 91 obese subjects found that those who consumed half a fresh grapefruit before meals lost significantly more weight than those who didn't. Eating grapefruit regularly may have the potential to prevent insulin resistance, which can lead to diabetes. Insulin resistance occurs when your cells stop responding to insulin, the hormone which regulates many processes in your body. For example, it's involved in many aspects of your metabolism, but it's most commonly known for its role in blood sugar control. Eating grapefruit thus has the ability to reduce your likelihood of becoming insulin resistant. Regularly consuming grapefruit is thought to improve heart health by reducing risk factors for heart disease, such as high blood pressure and cholesterol. In one study, people who ate grapefruit three times daily for six weeks experienced significant reductions in blood pressure over the course of the study. They also showed improvements in total cholesterol and "bad" LDL cholesterol levels. Grapefruit is fairly high in potassium, a mineral responsible for many aspects of heart health. Half a grapefruit provides about 5% of your daily potassium needs. Adequate potassium intake is also associated with a reduced risk of high blood pressure.

One of the UK’s most cherished ‘national treasures’ is undoubtedly actor Sir David Jason OBE, whose career in theatre and TV spans more than 50 years. He was born David John White in 1940 in Edmonton, London, and his father was a Billingsgate fishmonger. In later life, David modelled several of his TV characters’ mannerisms on his father and pals in the market.

when he appeared in the children's comedy show Do Not Adjust Your Set, co-starring alongside Monty Python members Terry Jones, Eric Idle and Michael Palin. Jason is most famous for his roles as Granville in Open All Hours — and now Still Open All Hours — Del Boy in Only Fools and Horses, Inspector Jack Frost in A Touch of Frost, Blanco in Porridge, Skullion in Porterhouse Blue, the ancient gardener Dithers in His Lordship Entertains and Pop Larkin in The Darling Buds of May. All were very different roles and displayed his remarkable versatility. He also voiced many animations, including Dangermouse, Toad and Ratty in Wind in the Willows and the title role in Roald Dahl’s BFG.

David appeared in juvenile court at the age of 14 for stealing lead, and again when he was 18 for riding a motorbike without L-plates; he was fined 10 shillings.

He landed the part of Del Boy in Only Fools and Horses by making fun of director Ray Butt's Cockney accent with a pitch-perfect imitation.

He did not find out until he was 14 that he had had a twin brother who had died at birth, however his younger brother, Arthur White, appeared in many episodes of A Touch of Frost with him.

The famous scene from Only Fools and Horses where Del Boy fell through the open bar flap derived from John Sullivan watching the exact same thing happen to a man in a wine bar, except he grabbed onto the fixed part of the bar so he didn't fall right over. Sullivan thought it funny for the man's body language, trying to recover his cool, but Jason thought Del should go all the way over without looking in the direction of the fall.

David’s first acting role was as a monkey in a primary school play at the age of nine, but his first lead role was in a Cromwellian play, Wayside War, as a 17th century cavalier at the age of 14. He started work at 15 as an electrician, saying later: “When I told my parents I wanted to go to drama school, they couldn't have been less enthusiastic if I'd just proposed setting up a commercial newt-breeding operation in the bathroom”. Since there was already a David White registered with Equity, he changed his surname from White to Jason after his favourite book, Jason and the Argonauts. He then joined amateur theatre not long afterwards and left it at the age of 25; he now says he only joined in order to pick up girls. He was spotted by TV producer Humphrey Barclay when playing a slapstick role in a theatre production on Bournemouth pier. Barclay gave Jason his big break in 1967,

Speaking on the Jonathan Ross Show, the statuesque TV personality also alluded to her on/off relationship with fellow TOWIE cast member James Argent. Talking about the men in Britain, she said: “[They] should set up a training school for young love. I’m sick of blokes. I’ve just had enough to be honest.” The Dancing on Ice diva — whose tantrums drew much adverse comments — revealed she’s ready to pack her bags and make a clean break, saying she dreams of becoming a huge star in America. “The cameras want to be on me the moment I land,” she maintained.

Katie’s playground rant Katie Price has threatened to take her children out of school after being reported to police over a playground rant. It was recently reported that the mum-of-five shouted at her ex Kieran Hayler's new girlfriend Michelle Pentecost as she was picking up kids Jett, five, and Bunny, four, at a primary school, where Michelle was collecting her son. Katie allegedly screamed at Michelle: "Are you enjoying [expletive] my husband?" A source also told The Sun that Katie "Isn’t liked by any of the parents". They added: "They want their children to be able to go to school in peace, without any disgusting language being used in front of them. Since it all kicked off, Katie has threatened to take Jett and Bunny out of the school. "She knows no-one likes her and now she

Manny rule The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are hoping to secure a man to help them with childcare duties after they welcome their first child into the world in April. A source told The Sun newspaper: "Hiring a 'manny' is far more common in the US — a nation that Meghan is more in tune with — than in the UK. "She's keen to introduce the royal family to what she considers a more enlightened, modern American approach. "Of course, Harry had a very tomboyish nanny himself in Tiggy, who taught him and William about abseiling, fishing and other o utdoor pursuits in Monmouthshire. "He and Meghan have discussed nannies and both have an open mind to a male nanny.” Strictly Cheryl? Cheryl Tweedy once ruled herself out of appearing on Strictly Come Dancing — but now says that never doesn’t always mean never. She insisted that it is unlikely that she would ever contend BBC's Strictly even though her The Greatest Dancer co-judge Oti Mabuse, 28,maintained the singer should sign up for the show. But the Geordie said: “As I've grown up I've realised you should never say never. I just wouldn't put myself through that — the every week judgement thing.” Attention around Liam Payne's ex taking to the dance floor comes after South Africanborn dancer Oti told The Sun: “I would love to see her try... “I think if she did Strictly, people would love her and see another side that they haven’t seen yet. She would be brilliant.”

Do You Have Unwanted Pain?! Is it really arthritis?? I thought in my next few articles that I would share a couple of cases I have come across as a sports massage therapist. Only this week I had a lady come to see me for advice and treatment. She had been suffering with pain and swelling in her ankle for weeks and had been to her doctor in UK who diagnosed a sprain, which was confusing to her as she had no recollection of falling or twisting it. After going for a second opinion and then being told it was arthritis, she was at an all time low, believing she would just have to live with the discomfort and pain. The first thing I noticed when she walked in was the amount of weight she had lost and she explained she had been dieting. I examined her ankle and asked some history questions, these are so important as to establish cause and not just treat symptoms. I agreed with her that I didn´t think it was a sprain and wasn´t that convinced it was arthritis. With a little more investigation, I found out the pain had begun a few weeks after the lady had begun her diet, the penny then dropped. She answered yes when I asked if she had been eating a lot of shell fish

and tomatoes and I immediately knew it was a case of gout. My client doesn´t drink, so she never even considered it. After having a blood test that day she rang me to tell me her uric acid levels were high and she was so relieved to be told it wasn´t arthritis but actually gout and very easily treatable. The lesson in all of this is; unless you know the cause of your pain and discomfort then your diagnoses may not always be correct. Consultations are as important as are the treatments. Beautiful Places - Living In The Mountains - At Home In Cutar And so we advance into the season of wild flowers in abundance, in this beautiful part of Europe, with bright purples and yellows springing up across the dazzling, sparkling countryside, bursting into bloom in such glory it feels as if each plant is in a rush to show off its best before the hot days of early Summer dry the delicate petals of its flowers and wither its leaves. And one of the best places I have found for wild flowers is in the hills and hidden valleys around Cutar. Cutar, a ten minute drive from Benamargosa, clinging shyly to a hidden hillside, tucked out of site from many angles, is a little piece of heaven amongst all this glory! Its narrow streets, with their jigsaw puzzle of pretty, pink rooftops, terraces, balconies and patios, are the home to artists, musicians, and country labourers alike, in harmony with nature, and all ever reminded, every day, from every angle, of those magnificent, heart-stopping, panoramic views, some of the best in the area! What better, for gentle, quiet souls, looking to shy away from the brazen noise and untiring turmoil of the larger villages, than to set up

home in such a sleepy, exquisite little village, as delicate as the petals of the Spring wild flowers, and as peaceful as a Summer’s afternoon. And so, thus inspired, (I never ever tire of this amazing area that we are so lucky to live in!) I came across Casa Vista Alta. It is a delightful, spacious village house, beautifully renovated by its current owners, with the very best of Cutar – its magnificent, panoramic views - to enjoy from the comfort of its very own garden. It is rare to find a village house with such very good outside space, and this house has it on two sides, permitting one to enjoy sun or shade, one view or another, whenever it takes one’s fancy. The house is now for sale for an excellent price, and is a perfect opportunity for those looking for village life in the slow lane, and plenty of peace, quiet and magnificent country views. Liberty Seguros - Life Insurance Three reasons to buy life insurance A proven product that everyone should protect themselves with. Life insurance is a necessary purchase that has the benefit of giving you and your family peace of mind. There are many different types of cover that can be tailored to suit your needs and lifestyle. Life insurance not only provides financial protection in the event of death but it is also a savings product that offers benefits that are becoming ever more extensive and customisable, so it is not surprising that, after car and home insurance, it is the third most contracted insurance cover in Spain. The average profile of a person who contracts life insurance is a married male aged between 35 and 44 years old, but it is never too late or early to take out a policy. 1. Arrange a mortgage to buy a house In Spain, six out of ten homes are bought with a mortgage. In this case, it is advisable to take out life insurance because, in case of death or permanent disability of the person who contracted the mortgage, the insurer will take over the payments to the bank and remove your partner or relatives from the economic responsibility that could be difficult to continue with. In fact, with most banks it is a pre-requisite as a guarantee before signing the mortgage. Until recently, banking entities conditioned their mortgage lending with an "obligation" to contract some linked products, such as Life insurance. But since a few years ago, with the approval of the European Parliament of the Mortgage Credit Directive, banks are prohibited by law from linking a mortgage to the purchase of insurance. You only need that your insurance company includes a clause in your policy registering your lending bank as the mortgage beneficiary. In that way, you comply with the request of the bank but you also save money. You could even save a difference of 700 euros as the products offered by the bank can be up to 300% more expensive. 2. Start a family - Life insurance can also be a guarantee for those who are thinking about starting a family. It should be taken into account that raising a child in Spain can be expensive. It has been estimated that a baby can cost 14,266 euros during its first year of life and 14,056 euros during the next two. On average, a child can represent the disbursement of 1,183 euros per month

during its first three years, which represents 80.78% of the average monthly net salary of a worker. It will depend on each person’s standard of living, but before the child turns 18 the parents could have spent between 115,000 and 350,000 euros. If at any time one of the parents dies, it will be difficult for the family to maintain the same rhythm of life. In those cases, although the personal loss will be irreplaceable, life insurance could guarantee the necessary capital to meet family expenses. With Liberty Seguros, even if the insured dies in an accident along with his/her spouse and they have children younger than 18, the beneficiaries will receive double the sum insured. 3. Protect your income level - Last year there were 3,796 serious occupational accidents in Spain. Of these, 618 had fatal consequences. The possibility of suffering an accident at work or outside that causes a permanent or temporary disability exists, so it is a wise choice to protect your income level. It will depend on each policy, but the insured can receive an advance payment of the contracted capital in case of temporary or permanent incapacity that prevents them from working and, therefore, affects their income, whether as a result of an accident or illness. In fact, with Liberty Seguros, the insured will be advanced the sum insured for death if he/she is diagnosed with one of the following serious illness or needs one of the following operations: cancer, heart attack, cardiovascular accident, kidney failure, bypass surgery, paralysis and transplant of vital organs, in accordance with the terms established in the special conditions of the policy. With insurance, not only for life, but also car, home, business, commercial, funeral, etc., Liberty Seguros is considered the preferred expat insurer in Spain today. Liberty Seguros has an extensive network of over 300 brokers and agents that are dedicated to providing unbiased, friendly and expert advice, because every home is different and such an important decision deserves a face to face chat with a professional insurance advisor, in your own language, to discuss the most suitable cover for you. I moved out here on my own six months ago after breaking up with my husband in England. I felt I had to move on with my life in more ways than one. I now live in Competa and despite having made lots of new friends I often feel isolated here. My ex-husband never wanted us to split up, but as he had had an affair, I simply couldn’t accept him back into my life. Now I am wishing that I had just stuck with it, at least I wouldn’t be feeling so lonely now and someone is better than no-one. What shall I do?  Anon, Colmenar Penny Says: Absolutley not! You don’t need the sort of man in your life who at the back of your mind you are always going to worry about cheating on you. You have proved you were strong enough a person to move away from him initially, so don’t look back now. Men like him aren’t worth the time of day. Instead of disgressing, look ahead to the sunny future and realise that there are other men out there to bag! You deserve better. Perhaps you should get out and meet more people.

Wines Worth Locating: II Roncal Italy is renowned for producing many high-quality products, from cars to designer fashions and much more. Visitors to Italy return year after year and take much pleasure in the landscapes, beautiful coastal areas, plus culture, arts and history of the country. The wines that Italy produces are very impressive, with many being award-winning. Numerous wine producers have olive groves also and Italian olive oils are most excellent, along with their wines.

very popular dry red wine. Carefully-selected, hand-picked grapes follows with the containment in French oak barriques and then on to stainless steel tanks, before bottling. A ruby-red colour greets the eye and an intense bouquet pleases. Full-bodied, for the mouth’s pleasures, it is then smooth for the palate. A wine that will cellar very well. Perfect with red meats and game. Verduzzo Friulano has 100% grapes, of the same name, to produce this superbly sweet dessert wine.

The Il Roncal Estate is located on the Montebello Hill, near Cividale del Friuli and was founded during 1986.

Golden-yellow, in colour, the nose is of sweet fruits. Absolutely, a pleasure on the palate and great to pair with cakes and many desserts.

Ribolla Gialla I found to be an excellent dry white wine. Produced using 100% Ribolla Gialla grapes, the bouquet is both fresh and enticing. The mouthfeel and palate continue the enjoyment of this production, especially with fish and seafood dishes. Spumante Brut is most excellent, too. This white sparkler utilises 50% Chardonnay and 50% Ribolla Gialla grapes. The fine perlage provides a very acceptable experience, with vibrancy and freshness. Splendid to commence a meal and to accompany seafood dishes, etc. Civon is a

These are just a selection, from the range of productions by Il Roncal, which also includes very impressive extra virgin olive oil. Il Roncal is also a resort, utilising the old mansion, that offers comfortable rooms which overlook the vineyards. Guests’ comforts and memorable experiences are high on the agenda for Il Roncal, which prides itself on delivering a holiday of interest and information, as well as peace, with guided tours of the vineyard and tastings being very popular, indeed. www.ilroncal.it

) : a h a h s e k o J Thanks to MP for the following jokes... They’ve just discovered a natural spring water source under the centre circle at Anfield. Liverpool are bottling it. ------------------------------------------------------------Just been to Tesco garage to get a sandwich and some crisps and was shocked when the checkout girl asked me if I wanted to go for a drink. “I’ve got a girlfriend I’m afraid” I said “But thanks anyway, you have made my day.” She replied “They are part of the Meal Deal you idiot!” ------------------------------------------------------------Shamima Begum has been like the World Cup to England. It's brought everyone together but she's not coming home! ------------------------------------------------------------The inventor of the jigsaw puzzle died today. His wife is said to be in 1,500 pieces. ------------------------------------------------------------So, God made Adam. Adam was walking around one day and realised that he was lonely so he asked God for a companion. God said: “I can make a woman for you. She will cook and clean and do everything you ask her to do. She will wait on you hand and foot. She will be so beautiful that you won’t be able to take your eyes off her. It’s gonna cost you an arm and a leg though.” Adam said: “Well, what can I get for a rib?” ------------------------------------------------------------A woman walked into the kitchen to find her husband stalking around with a fly swatter. “What are you doing,” she asked. “Hunting flies,” he responded. “Oh, killing any?” she asked. “Yep. Three males, two females,” he replied. Intrigued, she asked, “How can you tell?” He responded: “Three were on a beer can and two were on the phone.”

An old man sitting at the mall watched a teenager intently. The teenager had spiked hair in all different colours: green, red, orange and blue. The old man kept staring at him. When the teenager was tired of being stared at, he sarcastically asked, "What's the matter, old man? Never did anything wild in your life?" The old man did not bat an eye when he responded, "Got drunk once and had sex with a peacock. I was just wondering if you were my son." ------------------------------------------------------------After a long night of making love to his new girlfriend, Fred notices a photo of a man on her bedside table. At first, he really didn't give it much thought; she had never mentioned it so why should he. But after a month or so into the relationship he begins to stress about it; even imagining the photo is staring at him doing the deed. It was causing him so much anxiety that he finally decides to ask about it. "Is this your ex-husband?" he nervously asks. "No, silly," she replies, snuggling up to him. "Another boyfriend, then?" he continues. "No, not at all," she says, nibbling away at his ear. "Is it your dad or your brother?" he inquires, hoping to be reassured. "No, no, no!!!" she answers. "Well, who in the hell is he, then?" he demands. "That's me 6 months ago." ------------------------------------------------------------Paddy and Murphy walking down the street. Paddy found a mirror picked it up and said to Murphy “I know the face but I can't put a name to it!” Murphy picked it up looked and said “Paddy you daft idiot it's me!”

Jokes h a h a :) Paddy says to Murphy “Have you seen the news? 3 cliff walkers have fallen to their deaths!” “Unbelievable!” says Murphy, “I can’t believe they all had the same name!” ------------------------------------------------------------I couldn't find that thingy that peels the potatoes, so I asked the kids if they'd seen it. Apparently, she left me yesterday. ------------------------------------------------------------3 young black men in court. Leroy’s been given 15 years for possession of a knife, Winston’s been given 25 years for possession of a gun and Denzil been given 5 years for possession of 59p in loose change. In summing up the judge said “Although Denzil wasn’t in possession of a gun or knife, it’s clear he was saving up for one.” ------------------------------------------------------------Teacher asked all the children what their fathers’ did for a living. All the typical answers came out, fireman, policeman, salesman, chippy, captain of industry etc. But Billy was being uncharacteristically quiet so the teacher asked him about his father. "My father is an exotic dancer in a gay club and takes off all his clothes in front of other men. Sometimes if the offer is really good, he'll go out with a man, rent a cheap hotel room and let them sleep with him." The teacher quickly set the other children some work and took little Billy aside to ask him if that was really true. "No" said Billy. "He plays football for Leeds but I was just too embarrassed to say." ------------------------------------------------------------A blonde, wanting to earn some money, decided to hire herself out as a handy woman type and started canvassing a wealthy neighbourhood.

She went to the front door of the first house and asked the owner if he had any jobs for her to do. "Well, you can paint my porch. How much will you charge?" The blonde said, "How about £50?" The man agreed and told her that the paint and ladders that she might need were in the garage. The man's wife, inside the house, heard the conversation and said to her husband, "Does she realise that the porch goes all the way around the house?" The man replied, "She should. She was standing on the porch." A short time later, the blonde came to the door to collect her money. "You're finished already?" he asked. "Yes," the blonde answered, "And I had paint left over, so I gave it two coats." Impressed, the man reached in his pocket for the £50. "And by the way," the blonde added, "That's not a Porch, it's a Ferrari." ------------------------------------------------------------Muldoon lived alone in the Irish countryside with only a pet dog for company. One day the dog died and Muldoon went to the parish priest and asked, "Father, my dog is dead. Could ya' be saying' a mass for the poor creature?" Father Patrick replied, "I'm afraid not; we cannot have services for an animal in the church. But there are some Baptists down the lane and there's no tellin' what they believe. Maybe they'll do something for the creature." Muldoon said, "I'll go right away Father. Do ya 'think 5,000€ is enough to donate to them for the service?" Father Patrick exclaimed, "Sweet Mary, Mother of Jesus! Why didn't ya tell me the dog was Catholic?"

s e p o c s Horo by Juanita Banana of www.AbsoluteAxarquia.com ARIES: March 21-April 20 Partnerships are likely to be under pressure for the first five days of April but, although the cause won´t entirely disappear, things will return to normal shortly. An event of significance, when you least expect anything, brings optimism and happiness TAURUS: April 21-May 21 Work figures highly this month, with promotion or new responsibilities indicated. Try to avoid using it to escape other pressures. Singles may find love through a business trip GEMINI: May 22-June 21 Keep an eye on your budget this month and avoid being tempted by friends, or a new love interest, into spending what you can´t afford! Take care also not to take refuge in over-indulgence

exercise LIBRA: September 23 - October 22 Its important to think before taking action this month or you risk a situation that can´t be retracted. Challenge anyone you suspect to be insincere and you will be delighted with the results SCORPIO: October 23 - November 21 Take extra care of your health this month to avoid food poisoning and ´flu-like illnesses. Your emotions are close to the surface and need checking SAGITTARIUS: November 22 - December 21 For best solutions to challenges that arise this month, you need to be independent, swift and creative in taking action. LEO: July 23-August 23 Romance is positively aspected in April, for single and married Leos alike. Indulge in the love and affection that comes your way. Say yes to that candlelit dinner. A trip away is best temporarily postponed

AQUARIUS: January 21 - February 19 The best therapy for your mind and body this month is to philosophically accept the changes that lie ahead and the various events that will leave footprints for years to come

VIRGO: August 24-September 22 Lack of motivation means April begins slowly for Virgo but improves in leaps and bounds towards the last week as negativity is shed. For your health, maintain a routine of walking or other physical

PISCES: February 20 - March 20 Your anxieties are unfounded and give you to imagine doubt where none should exist. A good time to study or learn a new skill and to avoid ephemeral romance
