We have now entered the month of Love. February is the month of Valentine’s Day, which some say is nothing more than a commercial party, where shops can make money off of those that partake in its traditions. On the 14th love-struck couples gift each other with heart covered cards, cream filled chocolates, pricey flowers, shiny jewels, and cute stuffed animals. And I agree, that side of the day is materialistic and nothing more than empty, soulless, money grabbing hype. In fact, one of my favourite quotes, which popped into my head one rainy day as I glared out of the window, is this: “When we take away all the materialistic elements of life, everything of matter, what we have left is everything that matters.” So with that in mind, I believe that the 14th of February is a great opportunity to show those important people in your life how much you love them. The cards and the expensive dinner invites aren’t necessary, but getting into the true feeling of loving is the key. That key will open doors where before there were only walls, and your relationships will begin to bloom and flourish like never before. Then that loving feeling can be taken and brought into every other day of your life.

Love is one of the topics which is written about in my new book, The Light (see advert on page 63) Don Miguel Ruiz, a renowned Shaman of the Toltec tradition, is an expert on Love and he wrote the chapter on Love in The Light. It describes the different types of Love and how most of us do not know how to love unconditionally. The key to Love is Light and the key to Light is Love.

Strange News
I’m still on my trip in the US at the moment, currently staying in Montana in a beautiful house overlooking a lake. There is snow covering the trees and the ground and every so often a deer ambles across the land in search of food. I’m writing this from a desk overlooking the lake and I’m feeling blessed.
Cat Napped - Guards at a Sao Paulo prison thought there was something suspicious about a little white cat slipping through the gate. A prison official said that when they caught the animal, they found a mobile phone, drills, small saws and other contraband taped to its body. Alagoas state prison’s spokeswoman Cinthya Moreno said that the cat was caught on New Year's Eve at the medium-security prison in the city of Arapiraca, Brazil. All of the prison's 263 inmates are suspects in the smuggling attempt, though a prison spokesman said: "It will be hard to discover who is responsible since the cat does not s p e a k . "
Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone and may you feel the Love and carry it with you through the rest of your days…

Baby Left - A drunken father has been arrested in Florida after allegedly leaving his baby boy at a strip club's liquor store. According to police, Kenneth Rowe, 26, was already ‘wasted’ when he stumbled into the store and left his 11-month-old baby at the establishment. He allegedly staggered into Shark Lounge liquor store in Daytona Beach and asked a clerk to watch his baby boy. It's unclear whether the clerk actually agreed, but Rowe nevertheless ditched the baby for the Shark Lounge gentleman's club, which sits in the same building. Best Laid Plans - Two thieves planned to rob Wrights Jewellers in Beaudesert, Australia, on New Year's Eve, but they knocked through the wrong wall and ended up inside the KFC next door, cops have said. Dwayne Doolan and Peter Welsh allegedly made the best of their situation, and robbed the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant instead. The men threatened workers with a metal bar and one of the employees opened a safe where about $2,600 was held, according to a statement on the Queensland Police site. The alleged thieves then fled on foot, but were soon apprehended by police who charged them with armed robbery, stealing, burglary and attempted burglary.

Losing Weight - The Male Way! A guy calls the company and orders their 5 day - 5kg weight loss program. The next day, there's a knock on the door and standing before him a voluptuous, athletic, 19 year old babe, dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign around her neck. She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company. The sign reads, 'If you can catch me, you can have me.' Without a second thought, he takes off after her. A few miles later huffing and puffing, he finally gives up. The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens. On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 5kgs as promised. He calls the company and orders their 5 day 10kg program. The next day there's a knock at the door and standing before him is the most stunning, beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life. She is wearing nothing but Reebok running
shoes and a sign around her neck that reads, 'If you catch me, you can have me'. Well, he's out the door after her like a shot. This girl is in excellent shape and despite his best efforts, but no such luck. So for the next four days, the same routine happens with him gradually getting in better and better shape. Much to his delight on the fifth day when he weighs himself, he discovers that he has lost another 10kgs, as promised. He decides to go for broke and calls the company to order their 7 day - 25kg program. 'Are you sure?' asks the representative on the phone. 'This is our most rigorous program.' 'Absolutely,' he replies, 'I haven't felt this good in years.' The next day there's a knock at the door and when he opens it he finds a huge muscular guy standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that reads, 'If I catch you, you're mine.' He lost 31kgs that week.

De Cotta Law Legalisation of properties in Andalucía’s Countryside By De Cotta Law In Andalucía, especially in the area of the Axarquia, there are a number of properties, mainly private homes, on land not zoned for construction. Typically these properties have been built without a licence or without complying with the parameters of a building licence from a local authority. These houses have been in limbo between legality and illegality, as most were built more than 4 years ago, so the deadline has passed for the local government to take action against the illegal construction and uphold urbanisation laws. Some of these homes currently do not have utilities connected, such as electricity and water; although Andalucía’s regional government has approved the Law (Decree 2/2012), which came into force on March 1st of last year which means that owners can now apply for utilities and register their homes. To achieve this, the property owners must secure a licence for their property, known as an ‘Asimilado a fuera de ordenación. This licence can be used to contract utilities from the relevant companies supplying electricity and water etc. However, to obtain the licence, every home owner will have to follow a procedure that currently is not entirely clear and will depend on the different criteria for each local authority. This procedure will oblige the owner to pay a series of fees to the authorities; the amount depends on the specifications of each building. This is why it is imperative to seek legal advice to negotiate this somewhat complex procedure that demands the following items: * The property must be formally identified, either through the land registry or local ‘catastral’ data if the property is not registered. * The date of completion of the building must be confirmed, proved by a certified architect or certified by ‘catastral’ data. * Certificate of an architect certifying that the building meets standards of habitability and safety. * Description of the works necessary to provide the construction of basic services (water, electricity etc.) * Confirmation that the property is not subject
to current legal action, or that it is not possible to legalise the property through existing procedures. * Proof of adequate plot size for the size of home constructed. Once the property has been licensed, it is then necessary to use this to register the property or unregistered elements of the property (swimming pools, garages, out houses etc) with the Land Registry. The good news is that the Land Registrars are now dealing with the legalisation of many properties that were constructed some years ago even in areas where some of these problems arose. However it is vital to ensure that the size of plot is adequate as there are still a number of properties where legalisation is never going to be allowed because of overbuilding on a small plot in a designated rural area. Contact De Cotta Law to review the legal situation of your property.

Random Jokes 2 men are chatting in a bar..... “So how’s your week been?” “Fantastic!! I was walking the dog down by the canal and found this woman tied up to the railings. Is she beautiful?” “I don’t know, I never found the head!!!” ------------------------------------------------------------Paddy decides to take up boxing and goes for the required medical. Paddy caught his Wife having an affair and decided to kill her and himself. Interesting Facts - East Timor is the eastern part of the island of Timor, which lies between the South China Sea and the Indian Ocean. It is an island in the Indonesian archipelago, located 400 miles NW of Australia. Portugal ruled the island nation for three centuries until late 1975 when East Timor declared itself independent. Nine days later, Indonesian forces invaded and annexed the country. On August 30, 1999, in a UN-sponsored referendum, a majority of Timorese voted for independence from Indonesia. Anti-independence militias responded by killing approximately 1,400 Timorese over a period of three weeks. In late April 2006, a military strike led to two months of rioting in Dili. Tensions remain high today. As one of Asia's poorest nations, East Timor will rely on outside help for many years. The infrastructure is poor and the country is droughtprone. However, vast offshore oil and gas fields in the Timor Sea hold much potential.
PlazaCaféLounge / Bar “Under New Management”
“This Bar is situated in the charming and historical original Plaza of Benamargosa, which in itself boasts the cultivation of lemons and avocado pears and most recently mangoes. The Plaza was the centre of this old farming town, featuring the original Ayuntamiento building (now the local library), this bar was the local meeting place for the farmers and travellers, which is situated next to the beautiful water fountain. A quaint plaza surrounded by typical Spanish houses pouring petals from their beautifully flowering balconies onto the cobbled street below” Recently acquired by new tenants, this bar is undergoing a slow transformation to bring it back to its original ambiance. ‘Rumour’ Has it... ‘Rumour’ has it that you no longer have to suffer from back pain or sciatic pains, because at Rumours Hair Salon in Puente Don Manuel, there's a manual therapist who can work wonders. "Well, it's not exactly wonders we do here", says Alain Grootaers, the manual therapist who has already helped a lot of people with sciatic pain back and shoulder problems. "I'm a qualified 'Quiromasajista', as they call it here in Spain. And while massage is very important to warm up and relax muscles and nerves, the most important technique I use for people with back problems and trapped nerves is a gentle stretching manipulation called 'Isometric Technique of Kramat', in which I slowly stretch the muscles or trapped nerve which cause the pain. By stretching them, you make them more flexible and longer, so the spasm disappears or they no longer trap the nerve. I can say that I am able to help 90 per cent of the people who walk into Rumours Hair Salon." is it painful?
alain: "It's like a stretching exercise. You can feel it in your muscles, of course, but I don't bruise or creak your bones -- ever. First, I warm up the affected muscles and surrounding area by massaging in essential oils, and then we stretch gently." Do you also just give relaxing massages? alain: "Of course; I can strongly recommend a monthly relaxing massage -- it's good for your body and mind. If there's some muscle ache, we can detect it in the early stage and work on it before it gets to be a real problem. Look at it as a pleasant monthly maintenance of your muscles." are you always available at rumours? alain: 'I'm there every Thursday, but I'm available every day for emergencies. LÍNEa DirECta BECOMEs thE First iNsUrEr tO sELL its PrODUCts Via MOBiLE tELEPhONE Línea Directa has launched its new website for mobiles, which makes it the first insurance company to distribute its products via smartphones. The new site, which uses xhtml technology, is compatible with the iOS, Android and Blackberry operating systems and is capable of offering customers a price in under 3 minutes while asking them no more than ten questions. In addition, unlike other websites, which use “masks” in their mobile versions, Línea Directa’s new quoting system is 100% adapted to smartphone technology. The website will initially be available for offering car insurance quotes and will then be extended to cover the company’s motorbike and home insurance sectors. Linea Directa’s new page for smartphones also includes information on the insurer’s main products and services and offers a click-to-call service which allows users to send a request for the company to call them if they have any questions or if they wish to purchase the policy with the help of an operator.
With this new tool, the insurer hopes to record over 150,000 quotes per year and strengthen its position as the leader in Internet and mobile applications. The new quoting system has been designed taking into account aspects such as Internet surfing habits, easy operability, simplicity and user-friendliness for the customer. Línea Directa’s commitment to mobile technology is part of the growing importance of Internet searches on smartphones, due to the fact that in 2015 over half of all organic searches on the Internet will be carried out using these devices.

The Bowen Technique BOWTECH (The original Bowen technique), is a safe, non-manipulative, fast and effective system for the treatment of pain, inflammation, joint discomfort, spinal misalignment, muscle and tendon pain and internal ailments. It is also an aid to healing. Because the Bowen technique works on the whole body, it is possible to treat more than one ailment at the same time -- whether acute or chronic. For example, if you are suffering from bronchitis, menstrual problems, back, shoulder or neck problems, migraine, or any combination of these or other illnesses, they can all be successfully treated in one session. A second session is normally recommended as reinforcement. Even if you are suffering from a longstanding complaint, only a few sessions are usually necessary in order to improve your condition. The results are generally long lasting, unless there is re-injury. Because of the body's high tolerance level of the Bowen technique, the treatment is appropriate for everyone -- from newborn babies to the frail and elderly.
A BOWTECH session consists of several series of gentle moves through lightweight clothing (or with direct skin contact) in any position comfortable for the patient. The BOWEN TECHNIQUE was developed in the late 50s by the late Tom Bowen (19161992) in Geelong, Australia. The benefits of the Bowen technique include: - Headaches or migraines - Internal ailments - Spinal misalignment - Back pain - Neck and shoulder pain - Joint discomfort - Heel/foot pain - Sciatica - Joint discomfort - Arthritis - Sports injuries - Restricted mobility - Repetitive strain injury - Whiplash - Postural problems - Depression, anxiety and also: - Tinnitus - Tennis elbow - Carpal tunnel syndrome - Asthma, bronchitis - Digestive problems… and more. Take Care Of Your Health & Property MAdeREINA S.L. The damp proofing specialist The first contact we had with the products we now sell was when we had built a new house and the 120sm roof was leaking. We told a good friend about it and he said he knew a solution. It sounded totally unbelievable, but we had tried everything else so we decided to give it a go. Just a week after the damp proofing was done, there was heavy and prolonged rain. We checked every morning during the rain and to our surprise and relief, not a drop had come through – there wasn’t even a damp spot. These unique products are something that the Spanish market has been missing and through our team of specialists, we are now able to help you solve your problems.
is to contract us from the beginning of the building process. But we are often called in afterwards to solve problems with damp, water leaks and mould attacks and of course, leaking swimming pools and terraces. Even if you aren’t having trouble with your swimming pool at the moment, you gain with our treatment as you get a pool which is easier to keep clean and saves on the cost of chemicals. Our products have been used for more than 40 years in the building sector. You can easily see why as they penetrate 20cm into concrete surfaces and seal them totally; they even leave a water repellent surface.
This treatment should last a life-time so once it’s done, there is no need to repeat it.
As an added benefit, our treatments can even help your health -- don't forget that damp/mould problems can provoke conditions such as asthma and allergies.
The best way to prevent problems in the future

Where Did It All Go Wrong? Eating in the UK in the 50’s * Pasta had not been invented. * Olive oil was kept in the medicine cabinet * Spices came from the Middle East where they were used for embalming. * Herbs were used to make rather dodgy medicine. * A takeaway was a mathematical problem. * A pizza was something to do with a leaning tower. * Bananas and oranges only appeared at Christmas time. * The only vegetables known to us were spuds, peas, carrots and cabbage, * All crisps were plain; the only choice we had was whether to put the salt on or not. * Condiments consisted of salt, pepper, vinegar and brown sauce if we were lucky. * Soft drinks were called pop. * Coke was something that we put on the fire. * A Chinese chippy was a foreign carpenter. * Rice was a milk pudding, and never, ever part of our dinner. * A Big Mac was what we wore when it was raining. * A Pizza Hut was an Italian shed. * A microwave was something out of a science fiction movie. * Brown bread was something only poor people ate. * Oil was for lubricating, fat was for cooking * Bread and jam was a treat. * Tea was made in a teapot using tea leaves and never green. * Cubed sugar was regarded as posh. * Figs and dates appeared every Christmas, but no one ever ate them. * Jellied eels were peculiar to Londoners. * Salad cream was a dressing for salads, mayonnaise did not exist * Hors d'oeuvre was a spelling mistake. * Only Heinz made beans. * Special food for dogs & cats was unheard of. * Fish was only eaten on Fridays. * Fish didn't have fingers in those days. * Eating raw fish was called poverty, not sushi. * Ready meals only came from the fish and chip shop. * For the best taste fish and chips had to be eaten out of old newspapers. * Frozen food was called ice cream. * Nothing ever went off in the fridge because
we never had one. * Ice cream only came in one colour and one flavour. * Jelly and blancmange was only eaten at parties. * If we said that we were on a diet, we simply got less. * Healthy food consisted of anything edible. * People who didn't peel potatoes were regarded as lazy. * Indian restaurants were only found in India . * Brunch was not a meal. * If we had eaten bacon lettuce and tomato in the same sandwich we would have been certified. * A bun was a small cake back then. * The word" Barbie" was not associated with anything to do with food. * Eating outside was a picnic. * Cooking outside was called camping. * Seaweed was not a recognised food. * Pancakes were only eaten on Pancake Tuesday * "Kebab" was not even a word never mind a food. * Hot dogs were a type of sausage that only the Americans ate. * The phrase "boil in the bag" would have been beyond comprehension. * The idea of "oven chips" would not have made any sense at all to us. * The world had not heard of Pot Noodles, Instant Mash and Pop Tarts. * Sugar enjoyed a good press in those days, and was regarded as being white gold. * Lettuce and tomatoes in winter were only found abroad. * Surprisingly muesli was readily available in those days, it was called cattle feed. * Turkeys were definitely seasonal. * Pineapples came in chunks in a tin; we had only ever seen a picture of a real one. * We never heard of Croissants we certainly couldn't pronounce it, * Garlic was used to ward off vampires, but never used to flavour food. * Water came out of the tap, if someone had suggested bottling it and charging more than petrol for it they would have become a laughing stock. * Food hygiene was all about washing your hands before meals. The one thing that we never ever had on our table in the fifties …. elbows.

high Blood Pressure also known as (hypertension) Known as the silent killer, high blood pressure rarely has obvious symptoms. Around 30% of people in England have high blood pressure but many don’t even know it. If left untreated, high blood pressure increases your risk of a heart attack or stroke. The only way of knowing there is a problem is to have your blood pressure measured. All adults should have their blood pressure checked at least every five years. what is high blood pressure? Blood pressure measures how strongly blood presses against the walls of your arteries (large blood vessels) as it is pumped around your body by your heart. If this pressure is too high it puts a strain on your arteries and your heart, which makes it more likely that you will suffer a heart attack, a stroke or kidney disease. Blood pressure is measured in millimetres of mercury (mmHg) and it is recorded as two figures. systolic pressure: the pressure of the blood when your heart beats to pump blood out.
Diastolic pressure: the pressure of the blood when your heart rests in between beats. For example, if your GP says your blood pressure is “140 over 90”, or 140/90mmHg, it means you have a systolic pressure of 140mmHg and a diastolic pressure of 90mmHg. You are said to have a high blood pressure if readings on separate occasions consistently show your blood pressure to be 140/90Hg or higher. A blood pressure reading below 130/80mmHg is considered to be normal. who is most at risk? Your chances of having high blood pressure increase as you get older. There is often no clear cause of high blood pressure but you are at increased risk if you: - Are overweight - Have a relative with high blood pressure - Are of African or Caribbean decent - Eat a lot of salt - Don’t eat enough fruit and vegetables - Don’t do enough exercise - Drink a lot of coffee (or other caffeine based drinks) - Drink a lot of alcohol - Are aged over 65 If you fall into any of the groups above, consider making changes to your lifestyle to lower your risk of high blood pressure. Also consider having your blood pressure checked more often, ideally about once a year. In the coming months... information on how to prevent high blood pressure, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment.

DIGITAL SATELLITE SERVICES Flat screen repair specialists for all major TV manufacturers inc Samsung/LG. (Out Of Guarantee) Repair Service. Walking into a store nowadays to buy a new TV can seem a very daunting task. There are hundreds of TVs to choose from, but which one is best? All LCD screens have to be backlit in order to illuminate the picture to produce the image. This can be done by either fluorescent tubes or LEDs (light emitting diodes). so which is best? LCD stands for liquid crystal display: a matrix of red, green and blue cells. Each trio of cells makes a pixel. When a small voltage is applied to these cells, the liquid crystal twists and lets light pass through a polarising filter to a coloured lens. LED backlit LCD displays can create higher contrast ratios (the difference between black and white) and finer detail in the picture. Unfortunately, these TVs tend to be more expensive than their fluorescent tube cousins but do have a longer service life generally. Another drawback with LED displays is that although they are thinner, the sound can seem to be poor as the speakers within the cabinet are reduced in size with a corresponding drop in audio quality. Plasma TVs use an electric charge to excite gases within the display. This ignites phosphers to display light. The benefits of plasma TVs are that they can produce greater contrast ratios than LCD, along with better reproduction of fast-moving images -- particularly when higher frame refresh rates are used. Plasma TVs unfortunately consume significantly more power than LCD, and have a glass front to the screen which reflects light, adversely affecting the viewing experience -- particularly on a sunny day. If you are still confused which is best, why not pop along to one of our informal TV technology demonstrations held every Saturday at 2pm at Cortijos Romero 45B, Puente Don Manuel, near Vinuela Hotel. Starfish are also known as sea stars. There are more than 2,000 species of starfish. Starfish usually measure from 5 to 10 inches across, and can weigh 11lbs. The largest discovered starfish found was ErasteriasEchinisoma which was measured at over a metre long. ThromidiaCatalai is the world record
breaker for the heaviest, weighing more than 13lbs. If a starfish is chopped into pieces, each piece can grow a whole new starfish as the majority of the organs are placed within the arm. If you have ever encountered a starfish and turned it over, you will find hundreds of projections on its underside. These are known as tube feet, which serve two basic functions - one being able to move around in the water, and the other to open up scallops or clams. Starfish can have four or more arms; some have 12, but most have 5. However, there are species that have 10, 20, or even up to 40 arms!

Amazing Marine Life (Continued) Starfish digest their food on the outside of their body. They will latch on to a clam or mussel, prise it open, slide its stomach outside its mouth and into the gap in the shell and digest what’s inside. This allows the starfish to eat a larger organism than it could fit into its mouth on its underside. Once the stomach is retracted back into its body, the meal is transferred from this stomach (cardiac) to another internal stomach (pyloric) to fully digest. A starfish’s body has no blood. They use anater vascular sys-
tem, which pulls water in through a sieve plate. They also use this to move as they propel water to the tips of their arms, pushing them around. Starfish are not completely blind, even though they do not have eyes. They can sense light and shapes through an eyespot (an organ sensitive to light) located at the tip of their arms. Some starfish drop off their arms as a distraction to predators. Starfish can reproduce sexually and asexually. Eggs and sperms are sent off by the females and males respectively, in the mating season. A female starfish is capable of producing around a million eggs at one time. Starfish can change their gender whenever they want. Starfish do not have brains.

Two Way Mirror - Or Not? How can you tell when you are in a room, restroom, motel etc. with a mirror or a 2way glass? Here's how: I thought it was quite interesting! And I know in about 30 seconds you're going to do what I did and find the nearest mirror. Do you know how to determine if a mirror is 2way or not? A policewoman who travels all over the US and gives seminars and techniques for businesswomen passed this on. When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., how many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror (i.e., they can see you, but you can't see them)? There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female

TWO WAY GLASS IMAGE MIRROR IMAGE Just conduct this simple test: Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a genuine mirror. However, if your fingernail directly touches the image of your nail, then BEWARE! it is a 2-way mirror! "No Space, Leave the Place" So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the "fingernail test." It doesn't cost you anything. REMEMBER. No Space, Leave the Place!

New Mum in Town - Colic Hangover Cure So, my baby has colic and the nurse has given me Manzanilla. The tough part is....having to give it to Jazmín on a spoon as I was advised to avoid the bottle! Gosh, how difficult is it to spoon feed manzanilla to an almost-three-month-old…it takes AGES! Patience is a virtue, they say, and it's not forever….must remember to remember this! After trying this 'soothing' drink, the colic is still very much there, and I am becoming increasingly fed up with being stuck indoors every afternoon, pacing the living room. Once again, I call upon Grey's Anatomy and Dr McDreamy to keep me sane. I know it isn't baby girl's fault and bless her, she is in so much pain and discomfort but I am more than keen for this to be over. I wish there was a magic way of stopping colic, for both our sakes...perserverence, patience and love are what is needed; I must be there for her -- she needs me! As my patience begins to run out, and after a teary phone call to a friend back home, I am sent Infacol from the UK... Wowsers, it really works! From the moment she drank the first drop, the wind just shot out like bullets...yes, yes, YES! A top tip for any colic-baby sufferers: help ease your baby's pain by gently pulling their legs up to their belly and giving them a massage between each 'set'. Combine the 'colic beater moves' with the medicine and Bob’s-yourUncle; you have a happier baby and thus, a happier Mummy! I also found that positioning Jazmín face down on my arm (head at elbow), gently rubbing her back and pacing also worked. And when all that failed, the baby rucksack never did! Claro, making sure your baby is properly winded and properly latched on to the boob will help avoid colic - which of course, I didn't know! I did worry that giving baby girl medicine before each feed would only encourage her body to become reliant on it. So, as all doubtful first time Mummies, I found a natural alternative. 'Colickind'. It's homeopathic and you can get it at the chemist’s. However, once baby girl reached three months - the colic seemed to go away. Yes.. there is light at the end of tunnel! And, it's not forever fíjate! Well, colic has gone (hooray), baby girl is almost five months and we have booked our first flights to the UK. Happy days! I have had a month and a half of pure motherhood joy -- en-
joying the warm sunshine and meeting people. I am THE professional breastfeeder, and the nappy changes are getting quicker. Things are going smoothly and I am feeling good when, BAM...the crying starts again! NO NO NO - why?! And just before we are due to fly to England! At a routine check-up, I mention the crying (again...and the baby's crying, not mine - must look in control when with the doc!) and he does a few checks - all very normal I suppose. Jazmín is not keen on these checks, though, and rebels with all her might. Oh my, there is just SO much saliva! My thoughts are confirmed - her first two teeth are coming. The first teeth...at five months, and TWO at once - the front two! Yikes! I know it's a milestone for her, but did it have to be when we are just about to do the meets and greets in the UK? Will she be crying all the time? What about the plane...will she scream, will everyone tut?? My calm state of mind is quickly replaced by nervous thoughts and images of the first flight experience. Will we cope...we are going to have to, and I am going to have to stock up on teething meds. Find out more next month !

The Light Column Hello and a bright and sparkly welcome to The Light Column, a shining new column with the goal of spreading Love and Light to its readers. It ties in nicely with the launch of The Light: A Book of Wisdom with chapters by 22 leading luminaries in the field of personal growth and spiritual development. It has been a long and hard two years putting everything together – finding the right contributors, editing chapters, proofreading, countless emails, daily phone calls and lots of late nights. And finally, The Light is ready to purchase. Hooray! This is not just another self-help book. It takes the reader through preparation, practices and experiences on a sacred journey to reach the place where the ancient mystery of the Inner Light is revealed. Contributors include Neale Donald Walsch, author of the bestselling Conversations with God series; Don Miguel Ruiz, author of The Four Agreements; Marci Shimoff, author of Happy for no Reason, and William Arntz, director of the movie What the Bleep Do We Know!? From the bottom of my heart, I, along with the other 21 contributors, would be so humbled if you were to make a donation to our Light Fund by purchasing a copy of The Light.

My New Doctor
Allergy?
I went to the doctor's... ...office the other day at my wife’s request and found that our new family doctor is a young female & drop-dead gorgeous. I was embarrassed but she said, "Don't worry, I'm a professional - I've seen it all before. Just tell me what's wrong and I'll check it out?" I said, "My wife thinks my penis tastes like strawberries." Well come on chaps! Wouldn’t you?

Readers Writes We have been informed this month that unfortunately, housebreakers are still in the area so please stay vigilant at this time. One reader of The Sentinella sent us the following letter: Last night (Sunday 6 January) my daughter’s house in Los Kikos, near Puente don Manuel, was broken into for the second time. It was broken into this time last year and we thought we had secured the place really well after that. They got in by cutting down a high chain link fence (after failing to completely cut through a motor bike chain on the high garden gates, put on there as well as a key lock, after the previous break in.) They then managed to cut through the motor bike chain around the patio door’s reja, then cut through the bars of the actual reja -- which was key locked -- and forced open the bolt-locked patio doors before gaining entry to the house. This is a holiday home for my daughter so fortunately, there was very little of value in the house. They did, however, take four largewheeled plastic storage boxes and a dark wood small semi-circular hall table with a drawer in the centre. They also completely trashed the place and tipped out every single cupboard and drawer, including all over the garden. The worst part was when we rang the police. First of all we were put on hold on the phone for about 10 minutes, and then finally, we were told that as it was a holiday weekend we needed to contact our local police after the holiday! They could not even tell us which was our local police station. (We rang 061 first and were told to dial 091 for robberies.) We think it must have happened between 8pm-9.30pm as just before 8pm, the owner of a house nearby had been walking her dogs and everything seemed “normal” then. However at around 10pm, she took the dogs for a final walk and noticed all the lights were now on in our house. She immediately rang us as she knew there should not be anyone there. We drove straight over and found the destruction. Sadly, we all still need to keep vigilant. From Helene ways to prevent a break-in • Lock the doors - Although this seems obvious, many people still fail to do this! This makes it incredibly easy for a criminal to steal items and remove them from the home without leaving visible evidence of the theft which a neighbour could see from the outside. • Close and lock windows - Just locking doors is pointless if you do not close the windows when you are out. •Be careful who has knowledge of your valuables. By talking about them -- even to people whom you would not believe to be bur-
glars -- you increase your risk of a home invasion. Even if these ‘friends’ are completely innocent, they could possibly tell someone who is not so upstanding. Also, you should never post information online about things you own. • get an alarm - If you live in a rural area, then these may not be very much use. However, in city environments, they can provide additional security for your home. Invest in a quality alarm: preferably with a cellular backup (because it is quite easy for a criminal to disconnect phone wires leading to your home). Be sure to turn it on! • Do away with secluded spots - Criminals love to make their entry via a location which is partially hidden. Removing vegetation from around your home -- and so keeping windows and doors in plain view -- makes it more difficult for criminals to make a ‘silent’ entry. • Park bicycles and vehicles in a garage - If possible, in a locked garage. If that garage has windows, be sure to put shades or blinds over them so criminals cannot see what kind of transportation they can steal. • add privacy curtains - These thin curtains allow light in, but distort the image of the room.
BE VIGILANT

Moclinejo
Moclinejo can be approached either up the hill from Benagalbón or down the hill from Almáchar. Either way will take you about 10 minutes in the car and the drive back down towards the motorway although winding is worth the effort for the spectacular views of the coast. Fittingly, the hills are usually a lovely shade of green as the vines fan out to produce the grapes that make this area part of the Raisin Route of the Axarquía. The village was most probably built by the moors as there is no evidence of it having existed before their arrival. It is documented that in 1482 they attacked the Christian troops of the captain general of Antequera, Don Pedro Enríquez, who on finding the village apparently deserted, set fire to it. The Muslims who were hiding in the castle on seeing what was happening threw rocks and tree trunks at the Christians killing many of them. The ravine in the area is known to this day as Hoya de los Muertos or Pit of the Dead! The Moclinejo of today is entered by driving through the arch in a very impressive stone wall with a small fairytale tower. As you drive further down the hill you come to a parking area and a children´s playground. Probably best to park here and walk! I chose to drive on through the village and the streets became narrower and narrower, villagers taking their
daily constitutional were flattened to the walls of their houses as I continued my climb up towards the 16th century Santa Maria church which towered above the street. Parking my car at the top of the hill I jumped out to take a photo of this imposing building with its Moorish arches in the bell tower and roof. Then I ran down to the main square the Plaza de España to take more photos. During summertime the square is covered by an awning to bring much needed shade to this large open area, but on a winters evening with the sun already gone down behind the mountain no such protection was needed and only one person was bravely sitting outside enjoying a beer, the rest were warm and snug inside the bar! Earlier on in the year during September the village celebrates its Fiesta of Wine and Folklore which honours the farmers who have cultivated the grapes on the surrounding hills for centuries. You can sample the many local culinary delights such as the Muscatel grapes themselves or raisins, ajoblanco (the cold garlic and almond soup) and paella which is served at lunchtime. To drive back down to the autovia you go past the entrance to the Hamlet of El Valdes, a mini Moclinejo also worth a visit if only to see the amazing Casa Museo Axarquia, an amazingly decorated building sitting resplendent in the heart of this white washed village, a testament to its owner Antonio Montañez who reformed this impressive 300m2 property, spread over 5 floors, in just one year. Known as the Axarquia Gaudi it begs to be seen so do visit it in Calle Ermita, El Valdes. It is open to the public on the first Saturday of each month at 10am until 2pm.

Random Jokes :)
I ended up with an older woman at a club last night. She looked OK for a 61 year-old. In fact, she wasn't too bad at all, and I found myself thinking that she probably had a really hot daughter. We drank a bit, and had a bit of a snuggle, and then she asked if I'd ever had a Sportsman's Double. 'What's that?' I asked. 'It's a mother and daughter threesome,' she said. I said, 'No,' - excitedly. We drank a bit more, then she says that tonight was 'my lucky night'. I went back to her place. She put on the hall light and shouted upstairs: 'Mum, you still awake?' -------------------------------------------------------------New from the ‘Dearborn’ talking doll collection from America is the Muslim talking doll. The Streets of San Francisco, which ran from 1972 to 1976, starring alongside Karl Malden who became a close friend and mentor. In 2004, Michael presented Malden with the Monte Cristo Lifetime Achievement Award. In March 1977, Michael, aged 32, married 19 year old DiandraLuker, the daughter of an Austrian diplomat. In 1995,Diandra filed for divorce and was awarded $45 million as her settlement. Michael’s film acting career began in the late 1960s, in little known films such as Hail, Hero! and Summertree. In 1979, he both produced and starred in The China Syndrome, a dramatic film costarring Jane Fonda and Jack Lemmon about a nuclear power plant accident. In a terrifying coincidence, the Three Mile Island accident took place 12 days after the film's release. In 1980, Michael was involved in a serious skiing accident which sidelined his acting career for three years. On September 17, 1992, the same year Basic Instinct came out, he began a 30-day treatment for alcoholism and drug addiction at Sierra Tucson Centre. In the mid-1990s, Michael stated publicly that he suffered from ‘sex addiction’ and underwent extensive counselling. He shares the same birthday – 25 September – as Catherine, but 25 years apart. They began dating in March 1999 and their first child, Dylan Michael, was born on August 8, 2000. They married on November 18, 2000. In 2010, Michael was found to be suffering from advanced throat cancer, which he attributed to a combination of stress, his previous alcohol abuse and years of heavy smoking. He underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatment and on January 11, 2011, he said in an interview that the tumour was gone.

Paraprosdokians Paraprosdokians (Winston Churchill loved them) are figures of speech in which the latter part of a sentence or phrase is surprising or unexpected; frequently humorous. 1. Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak. 4. If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong. 5. To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.
7. Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit.. wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

Quentin Tarantino’s "Django Unchained" delivers a number of audacious, brutal, and violent scenes, such as the initial meeting of the slave Django and bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz in the woods. But they flow into a tale of sacrifice and courage, friendship and love, that finds the two men embarking on a quest to free Django's wife from a notorious plantation called Candyland. Jamie Foxx is perfect as Django. He's got the muscular presence required to portray a man who's been exploited for his strength. The quest begins with a story told near a campfire. LT Construction Garden steps Garden steps have a practical use but should also be beautiful and elegant. At best, they act as an inviting conduit, seducing you up or down to whatever is beyond, and at worst, they can be dangerous. Badly-designed steps create a psychological barrier, making you feel they are too much of an effort to bother with unless you have no choice. There are three main things to remember when designing and building steps: where they are to go; how and from what materials they are to be built and how they are tied in with any walls, paths or terracing. Where they go will dictate the way you want to move through the garden. Steps, of course, give access to different levels within the garden and make them more usable. You could also arrange each set at an angle or incorporate a twist into the step design. This approach creates an important flow and informality and makes you walk through and use the whole of the space. Wherever steps go,
walls will usually be built too, as the soil on each side will need to be retained to stop the bank from collapsing. Plants can help soften these junctures by spilling over the edges. We always look for innovative ways in which steps and walls can increase the practicality and usability of the garden. We encourage you to view your garden steps as more than just a boring outdoor staircase, and to approach them from a different angle. Call us today to discuss how we can make your garden both attractive and accessible on: 659 324 586 or visit our website at www.ltconstruction.es to see wide-ranging examples of garden

The colour khaki, normally associated with military uniforms but which also features in civilian life, has a fascinating origin. The name ‘khaki’ is a loanword incorporated from Hindustani and Urdu, meaning "soilcoloured." It is originally derived from the Persian word “khâk,” literally meaning "soil." It came to English from British India via the British Indian Army, and has been used as a colour name in English since 1848. Khaki-coloured uniforms were used officially by British troops for the first time during the Abyssinian campaign of 1867–68, when Indian
troops travelled to Ethiopia (Abyssinia) under the command of general Sir Robert Napier to release some British captives and ‘persuade’ the Abyssinian King Theodore, forcibly if necessary, to mend his ways. Subsequently, the British Army adopted khaki for colonial campaign dress and it was used in the Mahdist War (1884-1889) and Second Boer War (1899– 1902) -- where the British forces became known as ‘Khakis’ because of their uniforms. In Western fashion, it is a standard colour for smart casual dress trousers for civilians. The trousers known as "khakis", which became popular following World War II, were initially military-issue khaki twill used in uniforms and were invariably khaki in colour. Today, the term can refer to the fabric and style of trousers based on this older model, also called "chinos", rather than their colour.

Last year saw this family-run arts and craft centre continue to expand and thrive. With new opening hours, now Tues-Fri 10am-7pm and Sat 10am-3pm, there has been an increase in visitors and many new faces have joined the various classes and events. All the regular customers have continued to give support. For a day out, La Vaqueria is the perfect stopping point for morning coffee and home-made cake, full English breakfast or a light traditional lunch. Browse in the shop, which is crammed with crafting materials, hand-made crafts, hand-made jewellery, paintings, gift ideas and accessories for house and garden or watch the artists at work. Unfortunately, the Spanish Government has put a cap on grants for the time being but with the help of the local council, La Vaqueria plans to go ahead with a “sala de exposición.” The new mosaic workshop is proving to be so successful that there will be monthly mosaic classes this year on the first Saturday every month from 3pm-7pm. Afternoon tea is included, so come and learn how to use the tools and get creative with brightly-coloured ceramic tiles. For those of you who would like to learn to draw and paint, there are weekly classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays. For the foodies, there is a weekly vegetarian supper every Friday, and a monthly themed food night on the last Saturday of each month. During the Spring, the pretty garden is the perfect place to while away an hour or so and the new “arty” ecological garden is sure to give food for thought – perhaps literally, as some of the produce from it will be on the daily menu! La Vaqueria’s website www.la-vaqueria.com has regular updates on the events page and also a direct message link so that you can make contact with no hassle. Sign up for a monthly newsletter if you would like to be kept abreast of all the planned events. The themed nights are now growing in reputation so if you enjoy a variety of foods, dressing up (optional) and meeting new people, this is a night not to be missed! Whatever your preference, La Vaqueria has something for you and its staff are looking forward to meeting you. For all contact details please see main advert opposite.

Touching
Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was:
1. A four-year-old child, whose next door neighbour was an elderly gentleman, who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old Gentleman's' yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbour, the little boy just said, 'Nothing, I just helped him cry.' 2. Teacher Debbie Moon's first graders were discussing a picture of a family. One little boy in the picture had a different hair colour than the other members. One of her students suggested that he was adopted. A little girl said, 'I know all about adoption, I was adopted..' 'What does it mean to be adopted?', asked another child. 'It means', said the girl, 'that you grew in your mummy's heart instead of her tummy!'
3. On my way home one day, I stopped to watch a little league base ball game that was being played in a park near my home. As I sat down behind the bench on the first base line, I asked one of the boys what the score was, 'We're behind 14 to nothing,' he answered With a smile. 'Really,' I said. 'I have to say you don't look very discouraged.' 'Discouraged?', the boy asked with a puzzled look on his face... 'Why should we be discouraged? We haven't been up to bat yet.' 4. Whenever I'm disappointed with my spot in life, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott. Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play. His mother told me that he'd set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen.. On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school. Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement.. 'Guess what, Mum,' he shouted, and then said those words that will remain a lesson to me.... 'I've been chosen to clap and cheer.'

purpose is the care and welfare of abandoned and neglected dogs. Founded 12 years ago, our refuge is located in the hills just outside of the town of Rincon de la Victoria. The number of dogs varies but usually fifty to sixty dogs are in our care at any given time. Our primary goal- and dream – is to find a new and safe home for each of our dogs whether in or outside of Spain. In the event a suitable home cannot be found, the dog will remain in our care and live its life out at the refuge. We have a small group of volunteers who work at the refuge on a daily basis to care for the dogs. We have charity shops located in Torre del Mar and Rincon which are also staffed by volunteers. All items are donated and the proceeds of these are used solely for the benefit of the dogs. We are no different than any other charity in that we always need help. Since we do not receive any municipal or government funding, monetary donations are always greatly appreciated. We also welcome anyone who is willing to volunteer, to foster or adopt a dog and or become a member of our association. In her twenties, a woman's are like melons, round and firm. In her thirties to forties, they are like pears, still nice but hanging a bit. After 50, they are like onions." "Onions?" "Yes, you see them and they make you cry." This infuriated his wife and daughter so the daughter said, "Mum, how many kinds of "willies" are there?" The mother, surprised, smiles and answers, "Well, dear, a man goes through three phases. In his twenties, his willy is like an oak tree, mighty and hard. In his thirties and forties, it is like a birch, flexible but reliable. After his fifties, it is like a Christmas tree." "A Christmas tree?" "Yes. The tree is dead, and the balls are just for decoration." --------------------------------------------------------------A customer asked, "In what aisle could I find the Irish sausages?" The assistant asks, "Are you Irish?" The guy, clearly offended, says, "Yes I am. But let me ask you something. If I had asked for Italian sausage, would you ask me if I was Italian? Or if I had asked for German Bratwurst, would you ask me if I was German? Or if I asked for a kosher hot dog would you ask me if I was Jewish? Or if I had asked for a Taco, would you ask if I was Mexican? Or if I asked for Polish sausage, would you ask if I was Polish?" The assistant says, "No, I probably wouldn't." The guy says, "Well then, just because I asked for Irish sausage, why did you ask me if I'm Irish?" The assistant replied, "Because you're in Halfords." --------------------------------------------------------------A Woman goes to the Local Newspaper Office to see that the Obituary for her recently De-
ceased Husband is published. The Obituary Editor informs her that there is a charge of 50 cents per word. She pauses, reflects, and then she says, "Well then, let it read "Fred Brown died." Amused at the woman's thrift, the Editor tells her that there is a seven word minimum for all Obituaries. She thinks it over and in a few seconds says, In that case, let it read, "Fred Brown Died.... GOLF CLUBS FOR SALE." --------------------------------------------------------------An elderly man in Florida had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back. It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed it up nice with picnic tables, horseshoe courts and some orange and grapefruit trees. One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over. He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinnydipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end. One of the women shouted to him, 'We're not coming out until you leave!' The old man frowned, 'I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked.' Holding the bucket up he said, 'I'm here to feed the alligator...' --------------------------------------------------------------A Jewish daughter says to her mother "I'm divorcing Irv. All he wants is sex, sex and more sex. My vagina is now the size of a 50-pence piece when it used to be the size of a twenty". Her mother says "You're married to a multi-millionaire businessman...You live in an 8 Bedroom mansion...You drive a £50,000 Ferrari...You get £2,000 a week allowance...You take 6 vacations a year and you want to throw all that away.... ..............over 30 pence!!”

Jokes h a h a :) Ethel is a bit of a demon in her wheelchair, and loves to charge around the nursing home, taking corners on one wheel and getting up to maximum speed on the long corridors. Because she and her fellow residents are all one sandwich short of a picnic, they tolerate each other. One day, Ethel was speeding up one corridor when a door opened and Mad Mike stepped out of his room with his arm outstretched. "STOP!" he said in a firm voice. "Have you got a licence for that thing?" Ethel fished around in her handbag and pulled out a Kit Kat wrapper and held it up to him. "OK" he said and away Ethel sped down the hall. As she took the corner near the TV lounge on one wheel, Weird William popped out in front of her and shouted, "STOP! Have you got proof of insurance?" Ethel dug into her handbag, pulled out a beer coaster and held it up to him. William nodded and said, "Carry on, ma'am." As Ethel neared the final corridor before the front door, Bonkers Brian stepped out in front of her, stark naked, holding a very sizeable (for his age) erection in his hand. "Oh, no!" said Ethel, "Not the breathalyser again!" --------------------------------------------------------------A guy asked a girl in a university library: "Do you mind if I sit beside you?” The girl replied with a loud voice: "NO, I DON'T WANT TO SPEND THE NIGHT WITH YOU!" All the students in the library started staring at the guy. He was truly embarrassed. After a couple of minutes, the girl walked quietly to the guy's table and said: "I study psychology and I know what a man is thinking. I guess you felt embarrassed, right?” The guy then responded with a loud voice: “FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR ONE NIGHT? THAT'S FAR TOO MUCH!” All the people in the library looked at the girl in shock. The guy whispered in her ear: "I study law and I know how to make someone feel guilty.” --------------------------------------------------------------Four men have been going on an annual fishing
trip for many years. This year, Ron's wife put her foot down and told him he wasn't going. Bitterly disappointed, he phoned and told the others that he couldn't go. Two days later, the others arrived at the camping site, only to find Ron sitting there with a tent already set up. "Ron, how did you talk your missus into letting you go?" "Well, yesterday evening, after my wife finished reading "Fifty Shades Of Grey," she dragged me into the bedroom. On the bed she had handcuffs and ropes! She told me to tie and cuff her to the bed, so I did. Then she said, "Do whatever you want...So here I am!” --------------------------------------------------------------A squaddie (Army type) narrowly escaped serious injury recently when he attempted horseback riding with no prior experience. After mounting his horse unassisted, the horse immediately began moving. As it galloped along at a steady and rhythmic pace, the squaddie, who has not been named, began to slip sideways from the saddle. Although attempting to grab for the horse's mane the Squaddie could not get a firm grip. He then threw his arms around the horse's neck but continued to slide down the side of the horse. The horse galloped along, seemingly oblivious to its slipping rider. Finally, losing his grip, the rider attempted to leap away from the horse and throw himself to safety… However, his foot became entangled in the stirrup, leaving him at the mercy of the horse's pounding hooves as his head and upper body repeatedly struck the ground. Moments away from unconsciousness and possible death, to his great fortune a Retired Royal Air Force Supplier, shopping at ALDI saw him and quickly unplugged the horse. --------------------------------------------------------------Now my usual section for Steve the Scouse... What's the most confusing day in Liverpool? Father's Day. There are two Liverpool girls in a car without any music - who is driving? The policeman..

We live in Spain but have been advised by the vet that if he stays here, because of a skin pigment condition on his nose he is at serious risk of developing cancer and in order to hopefully avoid this he must be kept out of strong sunlight. We have been fortunate to find a loving home for him in England but need to get him there. To fly him is expensive, (approx. €600) and we don’t wish for him to travel by a pet transporter alone at equal cost. We could drive him ourselves but again after taking the return journey into consideration it would be a similar cost. We both have full clean driving licenses and would be more than willing to contribute to the journey expenses and share the driving if necessary. We are very sad to part company with him after 12 years but realise the importance of doing so. If anyone requires his or her vehicle to be returned to the UK or needs a chauffeur then providing everything was totally legal we may consider this option. In Loving Memory Of Simon Dent In the early hours of 27th December 2012, the world lost one of those special people. Simon Dent, son of Angela and Ken, died in a tragic car accident. Simon was a happy go lucky young man and whoever met him were touched by his happiness and kindness. It seems his purpose in life was to spread happiness amongst his family and friends. He had a unique and infectious sense of humour, with so much charm and always saw the funny side of things. Simon believed that in death, your energy is manifested in those close to you. "When you die, you lose all of your possessions, but who you are will be yours forever." Simon will be sorely missed by absolutely everyone that knew him "simon, you will never ever be forgotten" r.i.P. x “There is a Book of Condolences at The Little Farm Shop, Venta Baja”

s e p o c s Horo by Juanita Banana of www.AbsoluteAxarquia.com ARIES: March 21-April 20 To be effective this month, first resolve outstanding social and political concerns as friendship and team activities become important in your long-term grand scheme. A flirtatious colleague may tempt at work. Commencement of new projects and travel should be avoided during the last week of February TAURUS: April 21-May 21 Your responsibilities and role within a group may be challenged by folk with a perceived opposed ideology. Your emotional life is stable with shared pleasure and fulfillment in the company of loved ones and friends, achieved from mutual travel or study particularly during the last week of the month GEMINI: May 22-June 21 Study, travel and personal development projects are beneficially highlighted during the early weeks of February. From the 19th, whilst continuing to expand your circle of relationships, beware of taking on extra responsibilities leading to stress. From the 24th, take care in dealings with authorities and leaders. Beware of false information at, or regarding, work. CANCER: June 22-July 22 Conflict may arise within friendships or close groups, leaving you with critical decisions to give in or cut ties. Your emotional life is more rewarding with tokens of appreciation and affection offered. Positive influences bring changes in your career, love life and intellectual pursuits towards the end of February. LEO: July 23-August 23 Partnership and friendship do mix for projects and plans commenced by Leos this month. Peace and co-operation reign at work with communication improving as the month progresses. This is not a good time to initiate additional expenditure but is an important time to assess and reassess. VIRGO: August 24-September 22 Camaraderie and comradeship are highlighted, and any previous associated problems resolved, throughout all areas of your life. Work and income are enhanced but require attention and
extra effort. The last week of February brings an opportunity to help others in their tasks. LIBRA: September 23 - October 22 A great time for initiating activities at work, new business and new jobs, all of which may prove profitable in the near future. Love and pleasure are rewarding experiences as communication with others flows smoothly. Your excellent creative skills should be applied to harmonious advantage. SCORPIO: October 23 - November 21 Scorpios should be careful of expending more energy and effort than a particular professional goal is worth. Make advancement at work only where it’s easy and without conflict to your personal life. However, efforts and plans made in your home during February will be rewarding and beneficial. SAGITTARIUS: November 22 - December 21 Sagittarians will also benefit from improved communications this month. It’s a good time to apply for promotion at work and/or to promote and market yourself. Environmental issues should be taken into account when doing so. Send off those CVs now! In the last week of February domestic affairs will be sensitive, focusing on the problems of a third party. Take care. CAPRICORN: December 22-January 20 You´re on a roll! February is a month of enjoyment and personal achievement for Capricorns. Try not to squander the opportunities that arise. Acquisitions and purchases are favoured so put aside your rigidity and slowness of uptake! This month you will need to support the welfare of others but this comes naturally to you. AQUARIUS: January 21-February 19 A busy month with challenges and opportunities for advancement in all aspects, but particularly work and friendship. Any emotional upset or problem, although upsetting, will be fleeting. Finances improve after the 22nd and you may find an unusual approach to generating additional income. PISCES: February 20-March 20 Take time this month for some rest, relaxation and to recharge energy resources. Your home environment is the better place for developing employment, economic plans and achieving objectives. Be careful in dealing with authority and, if possible, delay confrontation in this sphere until March.
