m Fro Ed... the Welcome, everyone, to the March Sentinella Axarquia edition. Spain has just announced — on the day of writing this — that the rules have changed for entering Spain, so no longer do children 12 - 17 years of age have to be fully vaccinated to enter the country, albeit a bit late I think. Sadly, I know families who cancelled coming here in the school holidays and had to re-book their half-term holidays in countries that welcomed them. It’s not a good start to the year for tourism, but hopefully it’s a step in the right direction and Spain can start to recover ready for the boom, hopefully in the summer, and indeed for the rest of the year too. March is a month of plenty of special occasions including the two very popular days, St Patrick’s Day on Thursday, March 17th, and English Mothers’ Day on Sunday March 27th. Other important days for your diaries are: 1st March - Shrove Tuesday, 2nd Ash Wednesday, 19th - St. Joseph’s Day and the most important of all, Sunday 20th Spring Equinox (which marks the start of Spring). To celebrate this you can visit the Spring market at Scirocco on Sunday March 20th in Puente don Manuel, where there is lots of fun to be had by all from 11am - 5pm. There is a live music jam session, kids’ zone, plenty of market stalls and a raffle to add to the occasion.

Ghouls of the trade Plasterers, Ashley and Nathan Sellars are down-to-earth kind of guys – but even they were left mystified by what they saw and heard at Kiora Hall, Stockton on Tees. The brothers are part of a team of tradesmen who’ve been working hard to transform the disused building into a new school – and they’re convinced the historic Teeside building is haunted. The two experienced plumbers ran from the building in the middle of the night after allegedly hearing footsteps and voices; they locked the site gates, sat in their car, and refused to go back inside. On another occasion, Ashley and Nathan were left “gobsmacked” when a cable was pulled up through a hole in the ceiling, even though no-one was working on the floor above. “Nathan was just chopping up the wire when someone pulled it up through the gap for him, and yet there was no-one there. It made us tingle from head to toe,” said Ashley. “We’re the ones who do the locking up, making sure all the windows are shut, and we’ve often felt a strange presence. You suddenly see figures in your peripheral vision but then there’s no-one there. “In my opinion, someone definitely walks around on the hallway.” The building, in Ragpath Lane, Norton, dates back to 1877 and has had several uses over the years, including a family home, hospital, school, community centre and prisoner of war camp.

Strange News (Continued) Stuck in the middle with you… Two friends were left shocked after Aldi staff closed down their store with customers still inside. Sarah Sinclair, 27, popped into Aldi in Redcar, North Yorkshire, for bread and milk with her boyfriend's brother Luke Miller, 25, just before closing. While they were browsing the aisles, staff seemingly finished their shifts and by the time the pair got to the checkout, the shop was empty. The shoppers had been accidentally shut inside and had to call 101 to escape, eventually making it out through a fire exit. The pair were trapped for around 30 minutes in total. "We had heard a beeping sound but at the time, I just wanted my bread and milk so I hadn't thought anything of it,” said Sarah. “I had barely even noticed the sound. "Eventually Luke called 101 and the police told us to try the fire doors — we did find it funny." The manager called Luke into the store in the following days and gave him a bunch of flowers and a crate of lager as an apology.”
Luvelyjubbly The Queen's Platinum Jubilee is imminent and there is money to be made from souvenirs, but a Chinese manufacturer made 10,800 tea cups, mugs and plates to mark the Queen's seven decades as monarch — only to discover a vital spelling mistake. Below a picture of Her Majesty are the words: "To commemorate the Platinum Jubbly of Queen Elizabeth II." The items, now for sale on a clearance website, are being touted as perfect for fans of both the Queen and TV favourite Only Fools and Horses. Wholesale Clearance UK, which sells unwanted stock in bulk, has picked up the collection. The stock is for sale as a bulk lot for £32,400. Cushty.

Property Tax For Non-Resident Homeowners In Spain - Modelo 210 Non-resident property tax, known as Modelo 210, needs to be paid annually by non-resident property owners in Spain. You are a non-resident if you do not have residencia in Spain or if you live for more than 183 days outside of Spain. All nationalities need to pay the tax – both EU and non-EU residents. This tax needs to be paid each year you own the property and must be paid by 31 December the following year. For example, the Modelo 210 property tax for 2021 needs to be paid on or before 31 December 2022. The tax is payable by each owner of the property - so if there are two owners of the property each owner must pay 50% of the tax due. The amount due is calculated based upon a percentage of the Catastral value of your property - there are different rates for EU and non-EU residents. It still needs to be paid even if you do not receive rental income from your Spanish property. Non-resident property owners in Spain
usually fall into one of three categories: • Fully aware of the tax and pay it on time each year - they need to ask themselves if they are receiving value for money and use the easiest, least effort service. • Aware of the tax but have never quite got around to paying it – maybe it is time to sort it out in an affordable and uncomplicated way. • Unaware of the need to pay this tax – these newcomers to the tax should look for an inexpensive, and simple route to start paying. Everyone should look to find the most cost-effective and stress-free route to paying this tax, whether it be by finding a cheaper alternative for this year’s payment or getting help to sort out previously missed payments. Spanish Homeowner Tax is your local solution, and they are determined to bring their inexpensive and excellent customer service solution to you. See main advert below

Murder Victim Wanted for attempted murder. Actual headline! Linda Burnett, 23, a resident of San Diego, was visiting her inlaws, and while there went to a nearby supermarket to pick up some groceries. Several people noticed her sitting in her car with the windows wound up and with her eyes closed, with both hands behind the back of her head. One customer who had been at the store for a while became concerned and walked over to the car. He noticed that Linda's eyes were now open, and she looked very strange. He asked her if she was okay, and Linda replied that she'd been shot in the back of the head, and had been holding her brains in for over an hour. The man called the paramedics, who broke into the car because the doors were locked and Linda refused to remove her hands from her head.
had a wad of bread dough on the back of her head. A Pillsbury biscuit canister had exploded from the heat, making a loud noise that sounded like a gunshot, and the wad of dough hit her in the back of her head. When she reached back to find out what it was, she felt the dough and thought it was her brains. She initially passed out, but quickly recovered and tried to hold her brains in for over an hour until someone noticed and came to her aid.
When they finally got in, they found that Linda

Perils Of A Catholic Upbringing Please be charitable... As I walked down the busy footpath, knowing I was late for Mass, my eye fell upon one of those unfortunate, homeless street people that are found in every city these days. Some people turned to stare. Others quickly looked away as if the sight would somehow contaminate them. Recalling my old parish priest, Father Michael, who always admonished me to 'care for the sick, feed the hungry and clothe the naked', I was moved by some powerful inner urge to reach out to this unfortunate person. Wearing what can only be described as rags, carrying every worldly possession in two plastic bags, my heart was touched by this person's condition.. Yes, where some people saw only rags, I saw a true, hidden beauty. A small voice inside my head called out, 'Reach out, reach out and touch this person!'

Age, Activity & Hangovers!!! As a massage therapist, I not only provide treatment for muscle aches and injuries but also provide advice as to the cause and self treatment At least once a day I hear a client blame their pain and immobility on their age and always say that in their heads they think are 21 but their bodies do not! Ring any bells?! Their summation is that they should stop the activity and accept old age; my answer is a flat “Absolutely not!”. Think back to when you were 21 and could party all day and all night and still get up bright and breezy for work the next day... Oh those were the days!! As we get into our 30´s we start to feel the effects of the night before, maybe a headache or a little queasy. Over 40, well it’s gameover!! The hangover spreads over days and we become aware that, “we can´t party like we used to!”. So does that mean we stop socialising and partying? Of course not, we just plan ahead to make sure we have a day off the next day
and a pot of paracetamol to embrace the killer hangover! So what does this have to do with exercise and activity? It’s exactly the same concept. As we get older we don’t recover as quickly as we did when we were younger, so we need to have more rest days and a little help through stretching and massage. What is most important, though, is that we continue to always be active. By Amanda, BSC Hons; RSA See main advert below

Today, the country possesses around 17% of the world’s proven petroleum reserves. A litre of potable water is more expensive than a litre of oil in Saudia Arabia. It’s the 14th largest country on earth, roughly the same size as Western Europe or one-fifth the size of the United States. About 100 camels are sold in the capital of Saudi Arabia every day. The kingdom's Ghawar oil field has enough reserves to fill 4,770,897 Olympic swimming pools. On average, one person has been executed every other day in Saudi Arabia in 2015. Saudi Arabia is the largest country in the world without a river. Saudi Arabia is the only country where women are forbidden to drive.

Out And About In Torrox Torrox is the name of a collection of locations situated east of Torre Del Mar. This is a popular spot to live and holiday for both Spanish and other European nations with one big factor being it has the best climate in Europe. Each of these places have much to offer in their own right and collectively, they form a lovely area to live, work and relax. Torrox Costa is located just 15km from Torre Del Mar. Torrox Costa has a totally different character and personality to its near neighbour. Like much of this coast, there’s an impressive promenade that sweeps the length of the beaches here. At its eastern end, just past the lighthouse, the beach is dog friendly and is a great spot to let your furry friend run along the shoreline.
w
Torrox Pueblo is situated at the foothills of the Alpujarra mountains, a couple of miles inland from Torrox Costa. This is traditional white-washed village set in a green valley. There’s a traditional Spanish feel to this small village, despite it being the home to many people from other parts of the world.
w
Located between Torrox Costa and Pueblo, Torrox Park is a large collection of urbanisations that are popular relocation spots with those who decide to make this area of Axarquía their home. There’s property to suit every budget and style: spacious villas, townhouses and apartments along with a large and well equipped mobile home park that allows all year living. Whilst, in itself, Torrox Park, doesn’t offer much for day trippers, many visitors stay here as homes are frequently listed for holiday rental. It does provide all the services required for a smooth stay or relocation: bars, restaurants, supermarkets as well as doctors, chemists, hairdressers etc. The combination of Torrox Costa, Pueblo and Park is a winning one. Each has their own distinct character but each are connected to form an excellent place to stay, explore and maybe even to live.

Sagging Driveway Gates and Misaligned Pillars Sagging driveway gates and misaligned pillars are a common problem and the reason for this is in the construction of the pillars. It should be a simple building project to erect gate pillars. Surely, it is just a case of finding a design that you like and asking a competent builder to erect them, if only it was that simple. The materials used in the construction and design can be endless, from simple wood or metal to a combination of stones and glass. Artesian; rustic; elaborate; art nouveau or art deco, any of your whims or fancies can be expressed, if you so choose. The Problems: Unfortunately a high percentage of driveway gates do not open and close as they should. The design of course is the most important aspect for the owner of the property and they should expect the builder that they instruct to be competent and experienced in the build process. The majority of problems I come across with gates not aligned, arise because the supporting pillars have been built as individual items and not connected in a
structural way. No consideration has been taken for the soil type the pillars have been built on, nor for the drainage requirements and the flow of water around the gates. Over a period of time, the weight of the gates acting as a counter-lever on the pillars cause the pillars to fall out of alignment and to list. The Solution: Understanding the type of soil and how it drains is a vital aspect of the build. Additional drainage may be required to be installed at the outset. If the land is prone to water retention or in a hollow in the landscape where water collects, aggregates may be required below the foundation to act as a bedrock. LT Construction builds all gates and pillar systems using a ‘single unit’ system. This means that both pillars are connected together in a ‘U’ shape by reinforced concrete, which is then embedded deep into the ground. Conduits for electricity, intercom, lighting and water run through the enmeshed footing. This method ensures that the pillars remain parallel to each other and do not fall out of alignment, and therefore the gates remain flush in the long term. See main advert below

Pass The Butter Please Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back. It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow colouring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like it? They have come out with some clever new flavourings....
*Very high in Trans fatty acids. *Triples risk of coronary heart disease... *Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol) *Increases the risk of cancers up to five times *Lowers quality of breast milk *Decreases immune response *Decreases insulin response And here's the most disturbing fact... *Margarine is but one molecule away from being PLASTIC... and shares 27 ingredients with PAINT! These facts alone were enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance). You can try this yourself: Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it open in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will notice a couple of things:
Do you know... The difference between margarine and butter? *Both have the same amount of calories. *Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams; compared to 5 grams for margarine. *Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study. *Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods. *Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few and only because they are added! *Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavours of other foods. *Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years. And now, for Margarine..
*No flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something) *It does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional value; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weeny microorganisms will not a find a home to grow. Why? Because it is nearly plastic. Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

Kids Say The Funniest Of Things You just have to love them! Melanie asked her Granny how old she was. Granny replied she was so old she didn't remember any more. Melanie said, "If you don't remember you must look in the back of your knickers. Mine say five to six." Melanie, aged 5 Steven hugged and kissed his Mum goodnight. "I love you so much, that when you die I'm going to bury you outside my bedroom window." Steven, aged 9 I think beer must be good. My dad says the more beer he drinks the prettier my mum gets. Tim, aged 7 Danni stepped onto the bathroom scale and asked: "How much do I cost?" Danni, aged 8 Tammy was with her mother when they met an elderly, rather wrinkled woman her Mum
knew. Tammy looked at her for a while and then asked, "Why doesn't your skin fit your face?" Tammy, aged 8 Susan was drinking juice when she got the hiccups. "Please don't give me this juice again," she said, "It makes my teeth cough." Susan, aged 6 I don't like beer very much. Every time Dad drinks it, he burns the sausages on the barbecue and they taste disgusting.' Ethan, aged 7

1. Breathing 2. Doesn't miss the toilet After being married for 44 years, I took a careful look at my wife one day and said, "darling, 44 years ago we had a cheap apartment, a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10-inch black and white tv, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 25-year-old girl. Now I have a €500,000.00 home, a €45,000.00 car, nice big bed and plasma screen TV, but I'm sleeping with a 65-year-old woman. It seems to me that you're not holding up your side of things." My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a hot 25-year-old girl, and she would make sure that I would once again be living in a cheap apartment, driving a cheap car, sleeping on a sofa bed and watching a 10-inch black and white TV. Aren't older women great? They really know how to solve your mid-life crisis...

Sweetcorn is also known as sugar corn and pole corn.
a part in the wellbeing of our muscles and bones.
It is a variety of maize with a high sugar content.
Corn is naturally low in fat, with 1.4 grams per medium-sized ear.
Corn is sweet because it is usually picked when still immature, and the sugars in it have not had time to turn into starches.
“Ear" comes from the ancient word “ahs," which meant “husk of corn." In English, sometimes the ear also is referred to as a “cob" or a “pole." The ear is the spiked part of the corn plant that contains kernels.
Field corn traces its lineage to ancient types such as pod corn, which was grown in Mexico in prehistoric times. One of the main nutritional benefits of sweetcorn is its high fibre content. So, if you add 100g of sweetcorn to a meal, you get 2.4g of fibre. Sweetcorn is also a good source of vitamin C, a vitamin that supports the wellbeing of our immune system as it combats fatigue, stimulates collagen and supports iron absorption. It is prepared and eaten as a vegetable, rather than a grain. Other nutrients found in sweetcorn are magnesium and potassium. Magnesium plays
An ear of corn always has an even number of rows. There are about 800 kernels on each ear of corn. Sweet corn leaves were once used as chewing gum by Native Americans. A single sweet corn plant produces a range of one to three cobs each, that typically range from 20 to 25 centimetres (8 to 10 inches) in length. Sweetcorn Fritters are very popular on Thai menus. A favourite in east Asian cuisine, the sweetness of the corn is delicious when paired with a little spice.

Stars: Carla Juri, Imelda Staunton and Alec Secareanu. Writer/director: RomolaGarai Rating: 15 Running time: 1 hour 39 minutes. To view: Rent or buy on iTunes, Google Play and other streaming platforms and pay TV operators.
Something is very amiss within the house, however. The mother wails and moans, black mould grows everywhere, there is some suspiciously tasty ‘meat’ to eat and mutated, bat-like babies appear in toilets. Secareanu’s suspicions grow until he is finally confronted with what really lives in the attic; his love for Juri increases, but is he all he seems to be, and what is the significance of a carved goddess figure he found in the forests of war?
A horror film that slowly burns before becoming increasingly abstract and disturbing, Amulet is a strong writing/directing debut for actress Romola Garai, best known for countless roles in period dramas from Atonement to TV’s Emma.
Garai manages to keep all the plates spinning well, conjuring a real atmosphere of dread from just long shots of wallpaper, disquieting images of trees and Juri’s enigmatic performance. The final act however is a major gear shift, full of alarming weirdness, boldly taking the film into a different realm.
The story follows Alec Secareanu’s ex-soldier Tomaz as he lives a homeless life in London, haunted by gradually revealed memories of

Halting Erosion Using Vetiver From Vetiver Spain Our Nursery is open by appointment only depending on the current travel restrictions. We have Moringa seedlings, Organic Moringa powder and Comfrey plants. We also have some local trees and some exotic trees from Africa. Vetiver is a rapid growing and non-invasive sterile clump grass with a height of 1-2 metres and a root system of 3-4 metres in depth. We have been providing Vetiver throughout the EU for almost 10 years now. We are located in Sayalonga where we can plant year round but our best results by far start in February. The reason is that Vetiver is indigenous to India and Vetiver loves the heat of the summer. Use Vetiver cuttings as mulch around all of your fruit trees. Decomposing Vetiver improves soil quality, keeps the weeds down and the insects away all while helping to maintain soil moisture. Vetiver is a nutritious and replenishable animal fodder. Horses and pigs love it. We use it in our chicken pens replacing hay because it stops mites. In these 2 photos you will see land prepared for Vetiver and the results 2 years later. We also use Vetiver along driveways and sidewalks. It also makes a great and inexpensive ornamental hedge Here is a link to a short video showing the results. https://youtu.be/rjTmb_LL2uo We suggest planting now, as this is the BEST time of the year to plant. To see more images of Vetiver go to this link. https://www.vetiverspain.org/photo-gallery.html Presently we have some specials, which include free shipping to numerous locations

De Cotta Law TAXATION IN SPAIN FOR RESIDENTS AND NON RESIDENT PROPERTY OWNERS
based on the rateable (catastral) value of your property.
Whether you are tax resident in Spain or own a holiday home here and live in another country the different tax system in Spain can seem very daunting. Every country has particular rules and obligations and by ensuring your affairs are dealt with by professional advisers you can ensure that tax bills you receive are correctly dealt with.
If you rent out the property this return should be completed on a quarterly basis. Since Brexit some tax reductions are no longer available to British clients renting out property.
In some cases, the tax authority sends demands which are based on incorrect or missing information and you need someone to challenge or appeal decisions. Residents are subject to tax on their worldwide income, this is regardless of where that income is generated. If you are tax resident and also have income from outside of Spain your adviser can ensure that you can benefit from available reductions and not be subject to any Double Taxation. Tax residence is acquired if you are resident in Spain for more than 183 days. However, it is very important to note that the tax authorities can consider you to be tax resident in Spain if your family and underage dependant children live permanently in Spain even if you are working outside of Spain for a good part of the year. If you are tax resident in Spain and have assets outside of Spain with a value of more than 50.000€ you have the obligation to complete a Modelo 720. Subsequent submissions of the Modelo 720 may be required where there is a variation in any of these assets. Non Residents Individuals who own property in Spain but are not resident have to make an annual declaration. This is a form of income tax
We are very aware that each case is different, it is your particular circumstances that will be considered and you will receive tailored advice and reminders for resident and non resident taxes once you are registered as a client. For more information or a Confidential consultation please call + 34 952 527014 or email to tax@decottalaw.net See main advert below

Saint Patrick’s Day Facts St. Patrick’s Day is on the same day every year. It’s an Irish national holiday with banks, stores, and businesses closing for the day Shamrocks are the national flower/emblem of Ireland.
Legend says that each leaf of the clover has a meaning: Hope, Faith, Love and Luck. Patrick wasn't Irish himself. He was born to Roman parents in Scotland or Wales in the late 4th century. To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Chicago dyes the river green for a few hours. The shamrock is the official flower of Ireland. St Patrick’s Day has been observed by the Irish as a religious holiday for more than 1,000 years. The 200th anniversary of St Patrick’s Day was marked in Sydney Opera House by making it green. It is estimated that more than 30 million Americans have Irish ancestry. It is believed that Saint Patrick got rid of all the snakes in Ireland.
Pubs in Ireland were actually closed on St. Patrick’s Day until the 1970s! Guinness, an Irish dark beer is one of the most widely consumed beverages on St. Patrick’s Day.
On St Patrick’s Day, people love to dress up! One of the most popular costumes is a leprechaun. Leprechauns are known as mythical fairy creatures. Saint Patrick was a bishop in Ireland. Celebrate at the Irish Rover, Torre del Mar. See main advert opposite

Spanish Wills A will is one of the most common legal needs, but less than 25% of Europeans have one We are just beginning the year and it could be a good moment to think about making a Spanish will or update the existing one. As you may know, a will is not exclusively about making sure that the right people will inherit without disagreement or problems. It is a formal declaration of intention made by a person in his life-time of his wishes concerning the disposal of his property after his death. We understand the need to preserve and protect your assets and those of your family. If you have purchased or already have a property in Spain, we strongly recommend you making a Spanish will in order to facilitate the distribution of your Spanish assets. We have arranged many wills in Spain for foreigner people just like you and we believe that it is a satisfying part of life’s planning and not something which should simply be left to chance. It is a good idea to talk to your family about it so they understand your issues and know what you want. It may help those around you to understand your wishes in distressing circumstances. In Spain, the signing of wills must be made by the testator in the presence of a Public Notary who will keep in his file the original document until the day of death, and will register it in the Spanish Central Registry of wills which is situated in Madrid.
If you have already made a will in Spain, please note that your financial and familiar circumstances can change and therefore your will should be reviewed and updated. If you decide to contact us, we can: 1. Advise and guide you in preparing or revising your Spanish will. You can make several wills, but it is only the last signed will that is valid. 2. Advice on Inheritance Tax and explain the whole proceeding of distribution of the inheritance after death. 3. Assist you at the Notary Office when you sign your Spanish will. Our standard fees for helping you to prepare and sign a Spanish will are 150 Euros for one Will (21 % VAT and notary fees included) and 300 Euros for two Wills (21 % VAT and notary fees included). For further information on making Spanish wills and to arrange a free appointment, please do not hesitate to contact us at mail@axarquiasolicitors.com. We will be pleased to study your particular case and help you to prepare a will. AXARQUIA SOLICITORS Mr Jose Manuel Garzon Senior Partner mail@axarquiasolicitors.com tel. 952 901225

None of the children could identify the taste. The teacher said, 'I will give you all a clue. It's what your mother may sometimes call your father.' Vordersvan CAROL Vorderman has swapped her luxury mansion for a campervan. The 60-year-old splashed out on a £40,000 motorhome after leaving her sprawling pad when she put it on the market for £2.6m. The TV star decided to put her beloved mansion Sloblock Hall – a Countdown anagram of "B*****ks" Hall - up for sale in Bristol last year, and she is now heading for a life on the open road. The mum-of-two, who also has a home in her beloved Pembrokeshire, will be converting her new MAN TGE van into a stunning motorhome, which she has already dubbed "Vordersvan." The vans sell as new for between £38,000 and £47,000 depending on whether they are automatic or manual transmission.
Baldwin incognito Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin was a surprise VIP visitor to the quiet Hampshire town of Alton recently — and at least one resident thought he was a tramp living rough. The Hollywood actor, who is worth $60m, had been shooting his upcoming movie ‘97 Minutes’ in the UK countryside, and residents of Alton couldn't believe their eyes when they saw the star checking out the local kebab shop and Co-op supermarket. Alton resident, Caroline Benham, told The Times she had seen the star looking like a 'tramp' in the Co-op supermarket. Murat Mencoglu, the owner of kebab shop Murat's Kebab House, added that he 'couldn't believe his eyes' when he saw Alec delivering a video monologue to camera during a weekend stroll outside his store. The Hollywood actor recorded a series of videos while walking around Alton, and the shopkeeper admitted that he was grateful to the actor for the 'great publicity'. Baldwin, 63, is trying to rebuild his reputation since a prop gun he was holding went off on the set of his now-abandoned Western ‘Rust’ in October, killing 42-year old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

The actor, 69, who spent several months Down Under in 2020, was widowed in 2009 and revealed he fell for someone unavailable while he was filming action movie ‘Blacklight’, which was released in January this year. Liam told Sunrise hosts David Koch and Natalie Barr: ‘I loved Melbourne. I loved our Australian crew; they are fantastic workers. ‘Every department was superb; they had a great sense of humour.’ He then added: ‘I made a couple of pals, I fell in love, but she was taken.’ The hosts were ‘intrigued’ by the ‘Schindler’s List’ and ‘Taken’ star’s confession and tried in vain to locate the mystery woman who had stolen Liam’s heart. Liam has been single since his wife, Natasha Richardson, died in 2009 following a tragic accident while skiing. The actress, who was 45, hit her head as she fell while taking a beginner skiing lesson in Canada, leaving her with a head injury from which she died two days later.

Cele Newbrity s
Who knew? Doctor Who actress Jodie Whittaker has announced she is expecting her second child with her husband, American actor Christian Contreras.
The actress debuted her blossoming bump on the red carpet at the BRIT Awards at London's O2 Arena. The 39-year-old oozed glamour in an elegant cream and orange gown by luxury British brand Cimone as her baby bump stole the show. Before her appearance on the BRITs red carpet, the star kept news of her pregnancy quiet from the public. Jodie and Christian married in 2008, after meeting at drama school, and welcomed their first child — a girl — in 2015. The child has deliberately been kept out of the spotlight.

The Trouble With Pools... When we talk to our buyers, anyone and everyone who wants to buy in this part of Spain in the countryside has one thing on their minds – “we want a pool!!”
to do that work for you can also be expensive. And then we have the chemicals, the endless products and tools required and so it goes on!
Having been the owner of a pool at our B&B for the past 20 years, many of those reading this who are also pool owners will know what I mean when one asks if it’s such a good thing. You have leaks, tiles that come off, and having to re-grout, back-breaking work regularly cleaning them, massive water evaporation in the summer making your pool guzzle up too much precious water, that horrible green algae that floats in clouds in your otherwise perfect pool, scrubbing off that brown sticky stuff on the edges that is sun tan lotion. And so it goes on! So the trouble with pools is they can be fun, but also a lot of effort and bother! And worst of all, as pool owners, we often end up doing all the hard work so that other people, (friends, family or paying guests) can enjoy it, and not us!
Of course, despite this, everyone still wants a pool! The worst problem we have currently as property agents is that there are not enough houses for sale with a pool! They are few and far between at this time, especially at a reasonable price, and much of this problem stems from the fact that it is not permitted to build pools in the countryside, so the only alternative (often the best one, I have to say!) is to have an above ground pool that can be packed away at the end of the Summer.
Now with the wonderful invention of pool cleaning robots, life is becoming easier on the middle back, but they are expensive and also need maintenance. And getting other people
So, if you are sick of maintaining that pool, just for the benefit of others, I have the best solution – sell up your home with a pool and buy something without one! We have the eager buyers, so get in touch and we will help to pass on the Trouble with Pools to someone else! Toni Waterman Unspoilt Andalusia Real Estate See main advert below

Costa Animal Society ( CAS) CAS needs you! The Costa Animal Society (CAS) is seeking animal-loving, energetic, social media savvy persons to come on board. If you’re a compassionate person who respects the lives of unfortunate animals who live a treacherous life in the wild, hop aboard. There is an occasional heartache, but the rewards in homing animals and receiving videos of these rescue dogs and cats romping about in their forever homes is something to behold. We are a small, voluntary charity organisation that has been successfully rehoming and assisting abandoned animals in the Nerja, Frigiliana and Maro for over 30 years. We are presently looking for enthusiastic people to join our committee, continuing the work started by the sitting committee, some of whom have recently stepped down after many, many (some, decades) of years of service. Most importantly, the official posts of President and Secretary need to be filled. For more information, please contact acting President Mae Delaney on 601 629 938. (It should be noted that these are voluntary, unpaid). If interested, there will be a long-standing cadre of volunteers to provide all the necessary details and assist you along the way. We look forward to hearing from you soon. For more information please stop by the shop or feel free to call our shop manager May Delaney on 601 629 938

The Wedding Test He was a lucky boy!! I was a very happy man. My wonderful girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. There was only one little thing bothering me... It was her beautiful younger sister. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty-two, wore very tight miniskirts, and generally was bra-less. She would regularly bend down when she was near me, and I always got more than a nice view. It had to be deliberate. Because she never did it when she was near anyone else. One day her 'little' sister called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived, and she whispered to me that she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome. She told me that she wanted me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister.
Well, I was in total shock, and couldn't say a word. She said, 'I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want one last wild fling, just come up and get me.' I was stunned and frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. I stood there for a moment, then turned and made a beeline straight to the front door. I opened the door, and headed straight towards my car. Lord... and behold, my entire future family was standing outside, all clapping! With tears in his eyes, my father-in-law hugged me and said, 'We are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family.' And the moral of this story is: Always keep your condoms in your car

) : a h a Jokes h Little Zachary was doing very badly in maths. His parents had tried everything... tutors, mentors, flash cards, special learning centres. In short, everything they could think of to help his maths. Finally, in a last ditch effort, they took Zachary down and enrolled him In the local Catholic school. After the first day, little Zachary came home with a very serious look on his face. He didn't even kiss his mother hello. Instead, he went straight to his room and started studying. Books and papers were spread out all over the room and little Zachary was hard at work. His mother was amazed. She called him down to dinner. To her shock, the minute he was done, he marched back to his room without a word, and in no time, he was back hitting the books as hard as before. This went on for some time, day after day, while the mother tried to understand what made all the difference. Finally, little Zachary brought home his Report Card. He quietly laid it on the table, went up to his room and hit the books. With great trepidation, his Mum looked at it and to her great surprise, Little Zachary got an 'A' in maths. She could no longer hold her curiosity. She went to his room and said, 'Son, what was it? Was it the nuns?' Little Zachary looked at her and shook his head, no.. 'Well, then,' she replied, was it the books, the discipline, the structure, the uniforms? WHAT WAS IT?!' Little Zachary looked at her and said, 'Well, on the first day of school when I saw that guy nailed to the plus sign, I knew they weren't fooling around.' ---------------------------------------------------------—A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his wife, looking at herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not far off he asked what she'd like to have for her Birthday. 'I'd like to be twelve again', she replied, still looking in the mirror. On the morning of her Birthday, he arose
early, made her a nice big bowl of Coco Pops, and then took her to Alton Towers theme park. What a day! He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Corkscrew, the Wall of Fear, the Screaming Monster Roller Coaster, everything there was. Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down. He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake. Then it was off to the cinema with popcorn, a huge Cola, and her favourite sweets...M&M's. What a fabulous adventure! Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted. He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, 'Well Dear, what was it like being twelve again?' Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed. 'I meant my dress size, you moron!!!!' ————————————————————Three dead bodies turn up at the mortuary, all with very big smiles on their faces. The coroner calls the police to tell them what has happened. 'First today: Pierre Dubois, Frenchman, 60, died of heart failure while making love to his 20 year old mistress. Hence the enormous smile, Inspector', says the Coroner. 'Second body: Hamish Campbell, Scotsman, 25, won £50,000 on the lottery, spent it all on whisky. Died of alcohol poisoning, hence the smile.' The inspector asked, 'What about the third today?' 'Ah,' says the coroner, 'This is the most unusual one. Paddy Murphy, Irish, 30, struck by lightning. ''Why is he smiling then?' inquires the Inspector. 'He thought he was having his picture taken'.. ———————————————————— Husband: I want you to have this bracelet. It belonged to my Grandmother. Jokes h a ha For several years, a man had been having an affair with an Italian woman. One night, she confided to him that she was pregnant. Not wanting to ruin his reputation or his marriage, he paid her a large sum of money if she would go back to Italy secretly to have the child. Also, if she stayed in Italy to raise the child, he would provide child support until the child turned 18. She agreed, but asked how he would know when the baby was born. To keep it discreet, he told her to simply send him a post card, and write 'Spaghetti' on the back when the child was born. He would then arrange for the Child Support Payments to begin. One day, about 8 months later, he came home to his confused wife. 'Honey,' she said, 'You received a very strange post card today. ' 'Oh, just give it to me and I'll explain it later,' he said. The wife obeyed and watched as her husband read the card, turned white, and fainted. On the card was written: Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti. Three with meatballs, two without. Send extra sauce. ————————————————————A policeman spots a huge black guy dancing on the roof of a Ford car. He radios for backup. "What's the situation?" "A big black man is dancing on a car roof!" "You can't say that over the radio" replies the operator, "You have to use the politically correct terminology" "OK" he replies, "Zulu...Tango....Sierra" ------------------------------------------------------------A husband emerged from the bathroom naked and was climbing into bed when his wife complained, as usual, "I have a headache." she said. "Perfect," her husband said. "I was just in the bathroom powdering my penis with aspirin. You can take it orally, or as a suppository, it's up to you." ————————————————————An English ventriloquist visiting Wales walks into a small village and sees a local sitting on
his veranda patting his dog. He figures he'll have a little fun, so he says to the Taff, 'Gooday, mind if I talk to your dog?' 'The dog doesn't talk, you stupid English b******.' the villager replies. The ventriloquist carries on regardless 'Hello dog, how's it going mate?' 'Yeah, doin' all right.' the dog says. The Taff has a look of extreme shock. Ventriloquist says 'Is this villager your owner?' (pointing at the Villager). 'Yep'. 'How does he treat you?' 'Yeah, real good. He walks me twice a day, feeds me great food and takes me to the lake once a week to play.' The Taff now has a look of utter disbelief The Ventriloquist says 'Mind if I talk to your horse?' 'Uh, the horse doesn't talk either...I think.' says the villager. 'Hey horse, how's it going?' 'Cool' replies the horse. Taff is absolutely dumbfounded. The Ventriloquist continues 'Is this your owner?' (Pointing at the villager). 'Yep'. ‘How does he treat you?’ 'Pretty good, thanks for asking. He rides me regularly, brushes me down often and keeps me in the shed to protect me from the elements.' The Taff now is beside himself with a total look of amazement. The Ventriloquist then points to the villager’s sheep 'Mind if I talk to your sheep?'. Taffy, in a total panic shouts, 'THE SHEEP'S A LIAR……' ————————————————————Paddy is walking down the road eating a bag of doughnuts, Murphy meets him & says 'If I can guess how many doughnuts you have in the bag, can I have one?’ Paddy said 'If you can guess how many doughnuts are in there you can have both of them!! 'Murphy says 'Four!'

give up! This month, think before you purchase!
ARIES: March 21-April 20 By the beginning of April, you may feel like going into hibernation for a while so, during March, accept all social invitations and have fun. Love, friendship and even prosperity surround you - make the most of it! Good news arrives mid-month
LIBRA: September 23 - October 22 Your fabulous energy makes you a joy to be around this month. You will astound people around you with how utterly awesome you are on the 27th and 28th of March. Communicate exactly how you feel at the end of the month
TAURUS: April 21-May 21 Take time to evaluate current situations, get organised, come up with a better plan, and the fog will clear by the end of the month. Spend some romantic time with someone you adore – quality time together will benefit you both
SCORPIO: October 23 - November 21 Scorpio your life is never dull but this month your energy is super intense, making you more than a match to pick up the pace & run a marathon with it. Expect some good news & a big smooch at the end of March
GEMINI: May 22-June 21 Everything is going your way in March Gemini, helping you to feel adventurous and flirtatious. Creativity is your most undervalued asset but now is the time to exploit it. Be open to new ideas, especially during the first week of the month
SAGITTARIUS: November 22 - Dec 21 Your world and issues in March are revolving around relationships, all kinds of relationships. Take time and care to consider the world as perceived from other points of view and, in particular, from your parents or other important elders
CANCER: June 22-July 22 Your brain will be in overdrive this month Cancer so hang on for a wild, but fun, ride as you go against the tide. The third week of March brings a well-deserved success, enjoy it. When you have a choice, opt for the dish you’ve never tried before
CAPRICORN: December 22 - Jan 20 You start March being very direct - I want it and I want it now and maybe won’t even ask! You may need to wing it but are impulsive enough to go get whatever it is you’ve set your mind upon
LEO: July 23-August 23 Spring fever strikes, the energy is dynamic and intense and you are itching to get out and about to sing in the rain, dance in the streets, feel the warmth of the sun. Ignore those who label you quixotic; this month you make it happen and feel like you’ve won a lottery VIRGO: August 24-September 22 High five Virgo, you made it through an intense month mentally and emotionally, and are probably tired after all that focusing but, being who and what you are, you didn’t
AQUARIUS: January 21 - February 19 You’re feeling tense, and somewhat anxious, regarding a situation you know has to be confronted. Believe in yourself, use your natural intelligence and amazing ideas, and listen to your heart too to inspire all around you PISCES: February 20 - March 20 There are many issues in your sign this month around your birthday Pisces, so sit tight for a busy and zany ride. A new approach to a relationship will serve well, as will some time out to relax around the 18th.
